* {{Expy}}: Team Ceartais are influenced by Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse characters: Robyn/Scarlet is a bit of a mixture of ComicBook/JessicaJones and ComicBook/{{Wolverine}}, Hannah/Bullet resembles both Comicbook/{{Daredevil}} and [[ComicBook/BullseyeMarvelComics Bullseye]], Oliva/Spitfire has more than a few traits in common with [[ComicBook/IronMan Tony Stark]], and Kion [[HulkingOut Hulks out]].

* CarCushion: In Ch. 11, Scarlet uses Spiderman's web shooter to break their fall, stopping at 20ft above the street... But then she lets go of the web shooter's button, the web cuts off, and they fall on [[Franchise/SpiderMan J. Jameson]]'s car, denting the roof and breaking the windows.

* OverprotectiveDad: Nick. He ran a background check on Robyn's ex-boyfriend and Luna has no intention of informing him about her boyfriend lest he scare him off. When he heard that Robyn was dating again he waited by the door with a baseball bat, and was pleasantly surprised to see it was his goddaughter.

* HasTwoMommies:
** Robyn and Hannah adopt a son. See InterspeciesAdoption.
** Luna and Alice plan to have kits by sperm donation. [[spoiler:At first, it seemed like it didn't work, but later in the story, when Shuri runs a check on Alice in order to make her a new sword, it turns out it did work.]]

The sheriff is a MCB agent named Nottingham who still has it in for them. While "Skippy" is Jack Savage, from one of Disney's scrapped film ideas and a childhood friend of Nick's. Friar Tuck is the local priest of the Sherwood neighborhood. Versions of King Richard and Prince John are referenced in the backstory.
