* GodzillaThreshold: When Shigaraki is about to kill Ami, Izuku uses his Attribute points to give himself a massive physical and mental boost in the middle of battle.

* WikiWalk: When Toshinori tried to look up information about exotic matter on the internet [[spoiler:and how its presence in his injuries could explain why nobody has been able to heal him from his CareerEndingInjury]], he runs across a bunch of types of exotic matter, some real, some theoretical, and many fictional, and the subject quickly goes way over his head. In the end, he gives up and phones his friend [[CanonImmigrant David]] [[Anime/MyHeroAcademiaTwoHeroes Shield]], an actual scientist, in order to shamelessly pick his brain for answers. The request gets a chuckle out of David who laughs at Yagi for doing his research on Wiki/{{Wikipedia}}.

* ArtisticLicenseLaw: {{Justified|Trope}} in regards to the question "How do you try a villain whose Quirk [and temperament] makes them too dangerous to physically be in the courtroom regardless of the precautions taken?". The InUniverse answer is The [[ComicBook/TheJoker Napier]] Doctrine, which is an international legal standard for exactly that allowing the accused to be tried 'in abstentia', but also having stricter protocols to ensure the proceedings remain as fair and just as possible.

* LongList: {{Invoked|Trope}}. The list of possible LoveInterests for Izuku according to the [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin aptly named]] [[MarryThemAll "Grand Harem Route"]] [[ButThouMust Mandatory Quest]] in the non-canonical "'Best' Route" omake is ''[[LauncherOfAThousandShips staggering]]''. It includes all 13 canonical female UA students in classes 1-A and 1-B, five non-canonical ones (Ami, Mikoto, Cassandra, Mo-chan, and Shimooka Hikari), and [[GenderFlip "Shoko" Todoroki]], plus {{Gadgeteer Genius}}es Hatsume Mei and Melissa Shield, Hado Nejire (of the UA "Big Three"), Toga Himiko, Utsushimi Camie, Kayama Nemuri (Midnight), Takeyama Yu (Mt. * AdaptationalModesty: Momo wears a {{Zipperiffic}} heavy leather jacket and pants combo along with a motorcycle helmet rather than the AbsoluteCleavage-baring outfit she has in canon. In order to use her Quirk, she simply unzips as much skin surface as she needs to create a given item, and then she just zips it back closed, while hidden in the helmet are a few protein shakes she can consume when she needs to reload her Quirk's fuel. The helmet also has a supercomputer built in to function as the equivalent of the book canon!Momo has.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** When Izuku showed that he knew too much about All Might's injuries, UA faculty ''immediately'' got his life thoroughly investigated for a connection to All For One or any other Villains. The most they found was a second cousin Izuku has never met who sells bootleg movies and two former classmates who are children of Villains, one reformed and the other estranged. Only after realizing that most of his classmates and even the teachers themselves have stronger links to [=AFO=], did they finally allow themselves to relax. It's real because 1) having a potential link to the biggest criminal in the world would make someone a target of investigation, and 2) lots of people have links to people that aren't necessarily law-abiding, even if they themselves aren't guilty of anything.
** While Izuku seems to be your regular NiceGuy – and in many, many ways he really is – too much odd stuff happens around him for that to be the whole story and their classmates are slowly but surely catching onto him.
** Live training in Reflective Dungeons allows Izuku and his Party to quickly improve their combat skills and team coordination. This kind of accelerated progress is very noticeable to observant classmates like [[TheSmartGirl Momo]]. Ami also noticed that Tsuyu suddenly got very good at [[UsefulNotes/SignedLanguage JSL]], which was the result of her spending a bunch of Skill Points on it the day before.
** Izuku balks at the idea of using his telekinesis to stimulate muscle growth, citing that he wouldn't be able to see what he's doing and has nowhere near the level of fine control necessary to manipulate individual cells safely.
** One of the things that make people think Izuku had a link to All For One is that Aizawa can't affect his Quirk, which makes them think that perhaps he has a Quirk that makes him immune to Aizawa, gifted by All For One. This is discarded when it's pointed out that Aizawa is the single greatest non-All Might threat to All For One, with his particular Quirk, and it would make no sense for AFO to give out something that nullifies Aizawa's greatest advantage to a random freshman.
** The Inherited Fry Pan dungeon has several monsters and bosses made out of fire, making it harder for the dungeon party (Ami, Inko, Izuku, Momo, Ochako, and Tsuyu) to fight against because only Ami and Izuku have ranged weaponry. And when they have to free the dungeon core to finish the quest, the chains are so hot that Kyoka and Tsuyu get burns from touching them.

** The Gamer gives Izuku access to all kinds of Skills and Talents, ranging from the mundane like "Oral Hygiene" i.e. brushing his teeth as a Skill, to PsychicPowers, so the potential for perverted skills is indeed there. {{Parodied|Trope}} UpToEleven in the "'Best' Ending" non-canonical omake (but including canonical mechanics) where Izuku's possible Quest rewards for becoming a successful HaremSeeker are Talents that explicitly make him an amazing sex partner.

* {{Corpsing}}: Done by the other UA teachers when Advisory interviews a clueless Izuku to determine if he cheated on her Hero History test. She gets more and more frustrated as Izuku innocently and casually displays what All Might later calls a 'knowledge of Hero History at the level of a Bachelor's degree', while the rest of her colleagues silently crack up behind Izuku's back.

* MysteriousWoman: The unnamed owner of the bookstore in Chapter 21. She's a RavenHairIvorySkin StatuesqueStunner with a RapunzelHair in a HimeCut. She wears a CostumePorn-worthy silk {{kimono|Fanservice}} to work. Her store carries everything from typical second-hand novels to some valuable antique pieces, including more than a few that Izuku can use as Skill Books [[spoiler:and a real SpellBook for actual magic that he can't use but still bought in order to research it]]. And right out of the gate, she's proved immune to The Gamer's Analyze function, prompting the interface to suggest [[MaybeMagicMaybeMundane she's either ridiculously powerful or has a really, really good information-obfuscating Quirk]]. She tellingly seemed to focus more on Izuku than on Tsuyu or Ami when deciding whether or not to grant the latter's request to see the store's restricted section. Given that the character seems to be based on (or actually be) [[HotWitch Yuuko]] [[MysteriousPast Ichihara]] from ''Manga/XxxHolic'', this trope isn't really a surprise.

** The entire Class 1-B joins 1-A in the first 2-vs-2 Hero Fundamentals training exercise rather than appearing at the Sports Festival.

** Cassandra has her canon body reading, but here it is part of her Quirk rather than the result of TrainingFromHell. She can also detect movement like a radar at short range.

* AlienGeometries: Reflective Dungeons follows their themes more closely than they follow Euclidean geometry. For example, an exit door in a school hall leading directly to a beach and a mid-boss.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Hagakure is revealed to have hair that appears to be made out of actual silver. Then there are canon examples, like Izuku, Inko, and Tsuyu with green hair, Todoroki with his two-toned hair... the list goes on. Ami (like her original canon) has blue hair.

* AdaptationalBadass:
** Rather than getting caught on Kurogiri's trap, Thirteen uses their power to lock Kurogiri's portal in place, preventing him from defending himself and allowing Momo to plant an explosive charge on him.

* AdaptationDyeJob: Harley Quinn's [[MulticoloredHair hair is naturally red and blue]] this time around, which gets {{Lampshade|Hanging}}d in Chapter 23.

** Interestingly {{Averted|Trope}}. In the story's world, Franchise/MarvelUniverse is explicitly fictional, but a few characters from Franchise/TheDCU are confirmed to exists like [[ComicBook/Batgirl2000 Cassandra and David Cain]], and [[spoiler:Harley Quinn]] appears to be working with the League of Villains. This even affects InUniverse ConversationalTroping – for example, the tropes "DatingCatwoman" and "BoxingLessonsForSuperman" are instead called "Dating ComicBook/BlackCat" and "Karate Lessons for ComicBook/TheTick", respectively.

** Aizawa tells Shinso that Ojiro and Hagakure's Quirks- an extra limb and {{invisibility}}, respectively- aren't all that impressive on their own, but they managed to earn their spots in U.A. through hard work and training, which is also boring but practical in and of itself.

* KungFuWizard: Izuku is learning unarmed combat through The Gamer, and also longer ranged attacks and person enhancements via Ki and Psionic powers.

** In the MyHeroAcedemia manga, 13's gender was originally obfuscated but later confirmed [[spoiler: to be female]]. In this story Harley reveals that 13 is non-binary (specifically stated as gender neutral).

* GenderFlip: Barry Allen is instead a woman named Berri Allen.

** Rather than getting caught on Kurogiri's trap, Thirteen uses her power to lock Kurogiri's portal in place, preventing him from defending himself and allowing Momo to plant an explosive charge on him.
** For the villain side, [[NamedByTheAdaptation Jammer]] trained his electric-type Quirk before the attack to the USJ at Harley's suggestion, managing to improve his no-radio zone trick to jam even telepathic communications that use electromagnetic waves as a medium. Momo's aforementioned explosive works on a different system immune to Jammer's Quirk.
* AdaptationalEarlyAppearance:

* AmusementPark: ''Invisa Gal's Hidden World'', the first level of Hagakure's Reflective Dungeon is an amalgamation of at least three different (real world) Australian amusement parks that she says her family visited when they lived there for her father's job. The enemeies are described as if someone made real, Australian animals look like theme park mascots.

* RooftopConfrontation: The Boss Fight of the first level of Izuku's own Reflective Dungeon takes place in the rooftop of a representation of Aldera Junior High.
