* AManIsNotAVirgin: Subverted. He has no problem labelling himself as "still pure", which is both caused and justified by having been a monk most of his life. [[spoiler:Later sleeps with Arashi.]]

Orphaned at a young age, she was found in the streets and then raised by {{Miko}} priestesses (who actually were the friends of her MissingMom, a former comrade of theirs) and eventually became the Hidden Priestess of the Ise temple. A very skilled swordswoman with the ability to
[[PersonOfHolding summon her sword from her left hand]]. She initially coldly rejects the rather forward propositions of Sorata but, like Kamui, [[DefrostingIceQueen she gradually warms up to him]] and reciprocates.

* HisStoryRepeatsItself: The day when he inherited the title of Sakurazukamori from his mother to Seishirou [[spoiler: passing it on to Subaru. Intentionally forcing Subaru to kill him]] eerily mirrors his mother's request he'd kill kill her. However, knowing that the predecessor will be killed by the one they love most, then passing it on to someone who could never take another person's life, it's a very...interesting way of showing someone that you love them.
* IndirectKiss: Starts smoking the cigarette he took from Subaru on Rainbow Bridge.

* HisStoryRepeatsItself: Between when he inherited the title of Sakurazukamori from his mother to Seishirou passing it on to Subaru. Being a DeathSeeker and [[spoiler: intentionally forcing Subaru to kill him]] he eerily mirrors his mother that day. However, knowing that the predecessor will be killed by the one they love most, then passing it on to someone who could never take another person's life, it's a very...interesting way of showing someone that you love them.

Unlike the other Dragons of Heaven, he is rather reluctant to join the group and mostly goes on his own story arc that is actually the end of the one he started during ''Manga/TokyoBabylon''. Nevertheless, he significantly helped out during Kamui's massive AngstComa and succeeded in healing his soul and bringing him back, becoming a sort-of BigBrotherMentor to him from then on. His final showdown with Seishirou Sakurazuka leads to tons of HoYay and FoeYay. In battle, he uses a mix of soul magic and arcana that he channels in special paper cards.

* PsychicPowers: Which she channel in many ways, including: use of DeflectorShields, [[DreamWalker seeing other people's dreams]], [[MySignificanceSenseIsTingling sensing attacks]], [[{{Telepathy}} talking to others through their minds]], [[TeleportersAndTransporters moving objects without touching them.]]

* OedipusComplex: His relationship with his mom, especially in the CD dramas. No evidence about sexual encounters, thankfully, but the SubText is ''heavy''. [[spoiler: And he DID kiss her on the lips when he killed her, in the manga]].

She thoroughly lectures Yuzuriha upon battling her. She also develops feelings for Yuto who is amused by her crush, even though he openly sleeps with their shared boss Kanoe and doesn't really encourage her advances. This drives the Beast [[GreenEyedMonster mad with envy]]. She uses the Beast for reconnaissance purposes and uses him to control electric cables as offensive weapons.

* DiesDifferentlyInAdaptation: With the exception of the TV series where she is alive, [[spoiler:the manner of Kanoe's death differs in every adaptation. In the manga, she was killed by Hinoto's evil side after she meets and suspects that something's different with her sister's personality. In the movie, Fuuma stabs her out of a whim]].

After coming back to Tokyo, he gradually meets the Dragons of Heaven, fighting with Arashi, Sorata and MauveShirt Daisuke, Aoki's nephew. Behaving like a {{Jerkass}} at first, he only does so [[HiddenHeartOfGold in order to keep people away]], knowing beforehand that his fate will be far from all pink, sparkles and flowers. After meeting Princess Hinoto and eventually bonding with his fellow Dragons, he tries to recuperate his Shinken, an EmpathicWeapon [[spoiler: hidden in the body of Tokiko Magami, his aunt, unbeknownst to everyone.]]

Like Fuma, Kotori was scarred for life upon watching the gory death of her mother. However, unlike Fuma and Kamui, she doesn't fight physically. Psychologically/physically fragile and [[NeutralFemale pretty much defenseless]], Kotori lives her life quietly and peacefully in the family shrine, but she snaps and breaks down [[spoiler:upon seeing the birth of the second Shinken out of Tokiko Magami's body]].

As foreseen by Hinoto and Kanoe [[spoiler:she ends up being the wedge between Kamui and Fuma, and her brother eventually captures, crucifies, kills ''and'' dismembers her in front of Kamui. (In the anime, she's "only" crucified and killed). Her soul is then collected by Kakyou, who comforts her in her last moments before going to Heaven; her body is buried in the CLAMP Campus by the Dragons of Heaven]].

Bullied all her childhood long because no one could see her dog but her, she has sworn to never accept a man who couldn't see her pet. Ironically, the first man to see Inuki is none other than a Dragon of Earth: Shiryu Kusanagi. [[LoveAtFirstSight She immediately falls for him]]. She can turn Inuki into a sword when in battle and her pet will do anything to protect her. Upon battling Satsuki Yatoji in the anime, she loses her dog and [[HeroicBSOD gets horribly depressed]]. After getting a HannibalLecture from Fuma and Satsuki, [[spoiler:she is eventually able to revive Inuki while Fuma steps down]].

During one of his dreams, he meets Hokuto, Subaru's twin sister and falls in love with her. Upon seeing her eventual fate in his dreams, in the anime he breaks out of his coma and tries to save her but is shot by his jailers and put in a never ending coma. He also befriends [[spoiler: Kotori in the dream space, comforting her in her last minutes of life, possessing her fatally injured body so she won't be in pain, and then watching her soul go off to Heaven]]

In the manga, he is convinced to join the Dragons of Earth by Fuma after [[spoiler: trying to prevent the murder of Kotori.]] In the anime, Fuma coerces him to manipulate Hinoto's dreams so as to mislead her predictions.

Although Hinoto has never once failed in her predictions, she was initially unable to determine the eventual path Kamui would take, so she tried to influence him to side with the Dragons of Heaven but Kanoe informed Kamui about his possibility to choose between the two. She functions mainly as the Dragons of Heaven's MissionControl and is able to use spells to see outside her hidden place. She also constantly fighting her EnemyWithin [[spoiler: her Dark Self, that wishes to live on as a dreamseer and manipulates the group in order to ensure the world is destroyed in the end]].

Kamui's mother and maternal aunt. They were membresses of the Magami clan, a once powerful family that is shrouded in mystery. Tohru left the Magami clan (including a pre-teen Tokiko) few after her highschool graduation, gave birth to Kamui, was close to the Monou family and left to Okinawa at some point; meanwhile, Tokiko balanced her work as a nurse with some spiritual deals. [[spoiler: Tohru's death is the trigger for Kamui's return to Tokyo, as he believes she was murdered...]]

* DeadpanSnarke: Constantly snipes at the Seven Seals. Even his team mates aren't exempt from his quips.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: Her first appearances in the manga have her working Beasts without shoes, but later drops the trait.

* MotiveRant: Upon battling Yuzuriha.an

* BadassGay: Superior fighter, handsome if a little boyish-looking and openly gay.

* BadassGay: He was at very least fixated on Subaru, at most in love with him (as much s someone like him could). He's also one of the most deadly members of the Dragon of the Earth, if not the ''deadliest'' after Fuuma.

* BiTheWay: While it's made pretty obvious that Arashi is his one true love and comments on Kotori's cuteness in the manga, he also [[HoYay gets pretty flirty with Kamui]] in the early chapters and criticizes Subaru's [[TroubledButCute good looks, but bad attitude]] upon first meeting. He even expresses - while Kamui and Arashi are on either side of him - how grateful he is to be between "two beauties".

* BiTheWay: Sleeps with Yuuto, flirts with Satsuki, is kinda handsy with ''both'' Monous in TheMovie... To our knowledge, her evil and/or morally grey actions aren't tied to her bisexuality so she doesn't count as DepravedBisexual.

* WomanInWhite: She's often seen in white dresses.

* ManInWhite: Wears white robes in the real world, and dresses in a white suit when in the dream space.

A blind and crippled dreamseer, she is actually in charge of the whole political life of Tokyo and can see the future in her dreams. She appears as an albino WomanInWhite that possesses a wide range of psychic abilities and some power over Shikigami magic.

* WhiteShirtOfDeath: [[spoiler: When Seishirou killed her, she was [[WomanInWhite wearing a white kimono]].]]

* EverythingsBetterWithPrincesses: Subverted in both ways. Her "princess" title is merely a honorific way to address her, and she definitely doesn't make everything better.

* AscendedExtra: A roundabout example. In the manga he's among the last Dragons of Earth to appear, so much that TheMovie had Shougo to fill in the blanks. In the anime, however, he is both the narrator ''and'' TheProtagonist of the OVA.

* DoesNotLikeShoes: Downplayed. Whenever she is seen on the street in her work clothes, she goes without shoes, though still with her panties. This is probably due to practical reasons, as her work footwear is probably high-heeled and thus not very fit for hopping from roof to roof.

* EvilAlbino: Subverted as well. [[spoiler: She isn't ''inherently'' evil and, in the TV series, doesn't waver in killing herself to stop the actions of her Evil Self.]]

* ShrinkingViolet: She is a bit shy and docile though not to FragileFlower degree.

** TogetherInDeath: What he wants the most is to join Hokuto. [[spoiler: In the anime, he gets his wish.]]

** DramaticWind: Due to the above, his appearances often involve him standing amidst strong gusts of wind.

* JerkassFacade: Initially so he could drive people away from [[ItsNotYouItsMyEnemies in order to protect them.]] This was especially true in regards to the Monous. They didn't really buy it, especially TV!Kotori who made lots of effort to approach him despite his standoffish attitude.

* YamatoNadeshiko: Sweet-tempered, serious, booksmart, discreet and rather shy. She was more outspoken and with a little more of steel under her silky hand in the TV series: Kamui shows her his JerkassFacade but [[PluckyGirl she still tries to re-befriend him]], telling him about her own dream of becoming a kimono designer [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigo_dye#Classical_antiquity-Middle_Ages able to use indigo dye]] (which is SeriousBusiness in Japan), and it actually brings Kamui a bit out of his shell.
