Yet, he gives Raz a free pass twice for the exact same offense (during the ''"Other Kai"'' interlude and again at the end of ''"Breaking the Line 3"'') and grants [[spoiler: Kai]] the same favor, [[EasilyForgiven despite betraying them.]] It would seem insubordination is only permissible so long as you're one of his friends or if the situation is already so bad that punishing you in the standard manner is no longer an option.
