* TheBadGuyWins: He wasn't really defeated in his arc. After a lengthy battle, he summons a massive tidal wave to drown New York and only left everybody alone after Sue begrudgingly agreed to make out with him.

%% * WouldHitAGirlNotMeThisTime: Despite having previously threatened to flood New York with a Poseidon-shaped tidal wave, Namor disclaims all responsibility for the Ultimatum Wave when Reed confronts him, claiming he'd never risk hurting Sue.
* TookALevelInKindness: Jeph Loeb wrote him more in line with 616-Namor, disregarding his lecherous attraction to Sue and replacing it with genuine affection.
* WouldHitAGirl: When Sue continued to reject his advances, Namor resorted to forcing himself onto her, resulting in a brawl in the middle of Times Square.

* OvershadowedByAwesome: He was subject to this on his first run-ins with Earth-616 heroes. While he was an incredible threat on his home Ultimate universe, Earth-1610 was always far more grounded and "realistic", which made him far more harder to deal with. In the Prime Marvel Universe, there's dime a dozen universal conquerors with highly-evolved mooks at their disposal, which made him easier to thwart by their more experienced, powerful heroes. This also contributes to him trying to rebuild his home universe, which he can use as his own playground with no one else interfering.

* BungledSuicide: This pops up as part of deconstructing the Thing's BlessedWithSuck powers. He's a huge, freakish rock monster, stands out anywhere, has to be careful about crushing anything he touches and has almost no sense of touch. In the 616 MarvelUniverse, this is played for drama now and then but here, he tried to kill himself several times but has not found anything that can break his skin.
