Despite being the only other Sanjou besides Mikazuki Munechika and Kogitsunemaru with a confirmed existence, he doesn't have any interactions with them and never alludes to them in his dialogue. Hanamaru, the musicals, and some of the anthology comics compensate for this by treating the Sanjou like a close-knit group.
** And also to Tsurumaru Kuninaga. Given the relationship between their swordsmiths and the fact that Tsurumaru's swordsmith studied under Sanjou Munechika, he is either Tsurumaru's granduncle or uncle according to standard ''Touken Ranbu'' reasoning. In spite of this, they don't interact in the browser game, and when they do happen to appear in a work together, which is rarely, they don't interact in any meaningful way, if at all. TheMusical, at least, establishes that they're familiar with each other, but whether that's because of their historical connection or because they just happened to meet in the citadel is unclear.

He is especially formal when speaking to his fellow Sanjou, referring to Mikazuki and Kogitsunemaru with the archaic honorific "-dono," which means "Lord" in Japanese, but oddly uses "-san" for Iwatooshi and Imanotsurugi.
