* {{Jerkass}}: He starts the game as an InsufferableGenius and [[FantasticRacism racist]]. Farah is at first put out by his attitude and Reid flat out calls him a jerk. It takes a great deal of time and character development for him to soften into a JerkWithAHeartOfGold.

* WhyCouldntYouBeDifferent: His father, Gizro, apparently wanted a son who was strong and boisterous instead of sickly and shy; in a flashback, we see him explicitly ''telling'' Keele that he should act more like Reid. This is a mild example, however, since both of Keele's parents still obviously spoiled their son and told him that he was "going to be someone special".

* GeekPhysiques: While his robe obscures how skinny he is, his official height and weight betray it. He's 1.74m tall and a mere ''51 kg'' in weight, or a BMI of just ''below 17''--considered underweight for East Asians, and ''troublesomely'' underweight for Europeans.

The Main Protagonist of the game, Reid Hershel is a simple hunter, living in the town of Rasheans, before Meredy quite literally drops into his life. Initially apathetic and irresponsible, Reid develops over time and becomes a proper hero in his own right. Though he starts with an axe, he can also wield [[HeroesPreferSwords swords]] or [[BladeOnAStick spears]], and is the primary Melee fighter of the group.

* MegaTwintails: Although they look different in form between the art and the sprites, the pigtails are still huge.

* LethalJokeCharacter: With weak defense and an odd moveset (and required hunting all over the map to unlock her spells) you might write her off, but her hammer moves are powerful and above all, spammable.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: A standout turquoise green, which arguably accentuates her bright appearance.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: A particularly bright pink that almost becomes white depending on the artwork. It helps highlight her foreign, MysteriousWaif nature.

Not only [[spoiler:does Keele comprise one-half of Eternia's OfficialCouple near the end of the game]], but people -- a flirtatious maid at Hotel Inferia, Primula from Tales of Fandom Vol. 1, [[AmbiguouslyGay possibly his friend Zank at Mintche University]] -- clearly [[strike:want to stalk]] find his skinny, pasty countenance attractive. He can therefore also be considered a male example of NerdsAreSexy.
