* TheMedic: Once recruited, she serves as the Prince's army physician, [[spoiler: healing Lyon when she is badly injured by Dolph.]]

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Nobody can understand why he, a devoted ally of the royal family, would instigate a rebellion against the Queen. [[spoiler:It's actually a clue that he wasn't the instigator of the Rebellion.]]

* TheScapegoat: [[spoiler:In truth, he tried to stop the unrest in Lordlake from erupting into a rebellion, and the situation spiralled out of control because of the Barows. However, Salum made it look like Rovere was the leader of the Rebellion and stole the Dawn Rune to cover his own tracks.]]

* TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth: One of the few prominent aristocrats of Falena who is not corrupt or power-hungry, a good father and a noted cultured scholar. Of course he ends up killed [[spoiler:because of a machination concocted by an other corrupt aristocrat]].

* TheDogBitesBack: [[spoiler: When the Princes forces attack Stormfist, Shoon leads the gladiators in a revolt and helps them take the city.]]

Also remember that this is the guy who destroyed a dam by [[RammingAlwaysWorks crashing several explosive boats at its supports]]...''personally''.
