* CryCute: Kazuma's default expression is to be teary while still looking adorable.

* SecretIdentity: Twice Inui has saved Kotarō while wearing a paper bag on his head in some way when Kotarō was alone, to the point of where Kotarō [[AdultFear put a similar paper bag on his head to copy his hero]].

* AdultFear:
** He reacts with utter fear and often desperation when one of the kids gets lost. After all, he needs to watch over these children and the idea of something happening to them terrifies him to his very core, such as Kirin jumping from a ledge to try to fly, Kotarō getting lost in a trip, a child lost in a snowstorm, etc.
** He sometimes delves into the fact that he, still in high school, is a little kid's only living relative and now the one responsible for him. He wonders what will he do once he leaves the Morinomiya household to sustain them both, but at least he is optimistic about the future.
** His fever dream is a nightmare of his parents taking Kotarō with them on their ill-fated trip while he's stuck behind an invisible wall and powerless to stop them.

* FamilyThemeNaming: The male siblings all have "kichi" in their names.

* LivingEmotionalCrush: Just as Kotarō is one for him, he acts as constant emotional support for Kotarō, with the young guy breaking out into intense crying and begging to be with Ryūichi whenever he thinks his brother might either get hurt or for whatever reason leave him behind, making it clear how Kotarō misses their parents too and is just as terrified of losing his older brother.

* CatchPhrase: Says, "Ung!" the most, due to his quiet nature and his speech likely not as developed as the others.

* WastedBeauty: Zigzagged with Kosuke, who is a popular actor with hordes of fangirl fawning over his good looks. In his high school years however, he's not as popular since he's in the Kendo club and the girls who watch him are unimpressed by how weak and pathetic he is during matches, and they rather disappointedly murmur to each other about how he's "handsome but weak".

** This comes to a head in Chapter 75 when he sees Kotarō and Ryūichi making a pinkie promise and he doesn't know who to be jealous of.

* GirlishPigtails: Kyōko wears her hairs in pigtails, which further emphasise how girly she is. They also serve as a way to tell her apart from her brothers as [[OutnumberedSibling the only girl]].

* OutnumberedSibling: Kyōko is the only daughter in the family.

* StrongFamilyResemblance: All of them look extremely similar to the point Kamitani calls them clones. Even Kyōko, [[OutnumberedSibling the only daughter]], looks a lot like her brothers aside from having pigtails to distinguish herself with.
