We can do page locks for natter-magnet articles. If it keeps up, post in Ask The Tropers for Eddie to take a look. Incidentally, I chopped all the Crowning Moment entries from the page. If someone wants to put them up on the subpages, feel free.

Incidentally, the Lip Lock aversion - localisation included reanimating all mouth movements in the cut scenes - might be notable enough to be included, so I won't protest if that's restored. Wasn't sure though, and since the sight of the word "averted" generally makes my eye twitch on this site I erred on the side of removing it with the rest.

A lock probably isn't necessary, though I will be watching the page closely to see if the natter comes back. A guardian or two (which I'm happy to do) might be enough for it.

The Matrix suffers from quite a lot of Natter. I've been doing what I can. However, it has a rather long Fridge Logic section, and I was wondering if I should just cut that entirely or try to clean it out.

I'll try to clean up Follow the Leader later, but someone else can try in the meantime.

FoeYay.Live Action TV

I don't know or care to poke through the rest of the pages, but the discussion just on Dr Who and the Buffyverse takes up several pages. A lot is valid examples but it's hard to see the forest through the trees.

Busy with Launching a new trope atm, but seriously, this page needs help, especially with all the audience reaction tropes like YMMV, Ruined Forever and They Changed It, Now It Sucks!.

I went through it, but it could probably use a second going-over, I was pretty forgiving.

De-nattered and generally cleaned up the first part of RealLife.Cool Plane, up to and including the WW2 section. The rest I'll look at later.

There seems to be quite a bit of Natter in the Real Life section of All Men Are Perverts . Anyone want to take a crack at it?

That was easy. I chopped everything except the news story about the guy who saw the toddler walking alone near the pond and didn't try to take her somewhere safe for fear it would be treated as an abduction and the likelihood that a female in an internet chat room will be approached with sexual propositions.

There is a fair bit in Rummage Sale Reject. Some of it's quite interesting, but the page does not require it. Does anyone wish to take a crack at it?

I went through most of it save the Video Game section.

The Harry Potter related natter was readded by editor Superior to Ron the Death Eater, claming that it wasn't natter and citing There Is No Such Thing As Notability.

I took out a bunch There Is No Kill Like Overkill, but I didn't really have time to go over it super-thoroughly.

I think Author Tract has a lot, and I don't have the time to go through all of that. Also, it's becoming too much of "I dislike this author/genre so I will make it look bad".

RealLife.Cool Plane follow-up: I've borrowed Ash's chainsaw to further whack away at the crap that had accumulated, in the Cold War folder. There's still some natter, but I didn't want to totally neuter every interesting part, if only because some goober would go and put it back in later. tongue

Unless someone else steps up (which, so far, seems unlikely), cleaning up the last folder ("Gulf War and Beyond") will be a while. Given the flame wars over 5th generation fighter aircraft, the section as it currently stands will require a lot of work to get a useful folder that's less likely to attract all the shit currently residing there.

I'm going through the Misaimed Fandom page. In the Comic Books section, there's a long series of bullets about the Marvel Civil War thing. I'm a very casual comic book fan (Watchmen and a few issues of The Question), so I don't know much about that arc and I'm not sure how to cut the natter while still salvaging the example (if that's possible). Can someone help?

There's some natter in the Earths Children article. I did manage to get rid of some of it, but I'm not sure how to clear up the natter under Shown Their Work.

There's quite a lot of natter in the Fridge Horror page. Help with removing it would be much appreciated.
