This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

For Mondegreen, the United States Pledge of Allegiance (as quoted in the picture caption note) needs to have the comma after "one nation" removed. The phrase is "one nation under God," without comma.

- Dude, Not Funny!: The joke that involves Dante wearing a white wig and saying "Not in a million years" angered several fans. Even Angry Joe found it obnoxious as it appeared to be a Take That! to the negative fan reaction the game had.
- Trolling Creator: Tameemi Antoniades has often criticized the classic Dante and the series' fanbase during interviews.◊ The Dude, Not Funny! joke from above and Antoniades' physical similarities with the reboot's Dante don't help.

On the page Everythings Worse With Snowclones, it talks about the inversion of the problem with some tropes, like Our Monsters Are Different, as though it's a mystery why this one works. Would it be okay to include a possible reason being that this is one of the few name formats to actually spell out the trope (the name of a type of creature, and that they vary in stories), whereas most snowclones don't pass the clarity test (even the "everything's better with x" names)?

Because to me the trope names and the tropes' purposes don't look like the same thing. Subversions of common portrayals vs. all portrayals.

I admittedly thought the same thing as well, but since the point is that difference is often more common than similarity (with some exceptions), then that would explain the lack of misuse which plagues other snowclones.
