This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Sorry that I can't link it, but without a discussion in the Five-Man Band thread it can't be added.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe thread in question. Check it up there.

5098, 5099: Done.
RE: the Naruto request - As was said, linking to scanlations is verboten.
5101: If it's been discussed, that's fine, but I'm not doing the legwork to find the discussion. Where does the discussion start?
Can you un-wikiword Locked Pages in... well... Locked Pages? It's a recursive link.
I now go by Graf von Tirol. On FiveManBand.Comic Books, need Literature/ added to Orlando A Biography and {{Raffles}}.
(Honestly not sure those are valid examples, but that's a discussion for another thread. And since I'm not sure they're not, might as well namespace 'em.)

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. On Monster/Film, please change the Wick for Hannibal Rising from Main/HannibalRising to Literature/TheSilenceOfTheLambs.
Thank you very much.

Check out my site. The George The Animal Steele Fan Page! http://www.angelfire.com/fl3/jasonsite/gsteele.htmlThis is more of a peripheral question: Is there any plan of replacing Administrivia with Sandbox.Administrivia?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman, Done.
I, personally, have no objections, but that's something that Eddie may need to approve. I'll mention it.
No objection.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyOne item before that switch is performed: I think the Get Known link (currently in the very last section) should be more prominent, possibly under "Editing Basics", but can't think where exactly to put it/how exactly to phrase it. Could someone, mod or otherwise, do it? Ta.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Put it under "The Basic Stuff", at the bottom of the file, like so: Get Known: How to get access to this site.
Also, I added some index tags into the sandbox so that the index bar isn't disrupted by auto-redirects like Ask The Tropers.

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanInheritance Cycle The Who Wants to Live Forever? example includes wangst (there may be more pot holed), can it be removed? It's a wee bit offense to me and it's supposed to be a YMMV any ways.
Don't make me destroy you. @ Castle SeriesOn the Monster/Film page, please change the wick for Main/{{Hannibal}} to Literature/TheSilenceOfTheLambs. Thank you very much.
Check out my site. The George The Animal Steele Fan Page! http://www.angelfire.com/fl3/jasonsite/gsteele.htmlOn George W Bush:
- Please move Beam Me Up, Scotty! and Fan Nickname to Trivia.
- Remove Never Live It Down. It wasn't showing a red YMMV dot because the page type was set to Useful Notes instead of Creator. Now it is, and it needs to be removed since we don't usually do YMMV on living people.
5109 - 5113, 5115, 5116: Done.
5114: Do you have another way to rewrite that example? I haven't read the books...and to be frank, a troper's personal feelings about an example are irrelevant.
A couple of requests for Locked Pages:
- Costa Rica needs to be taken off, as it's open.
- There are several references for "New policy" that need to be changed to Content Policy.
- Euroshlock needs a locking reason added, assuming that the locking tool has one.
Just make wangst angst.
The idea is that the character doesn't know if there is a God. An heaven or hell. Every race has their own deities (except the elves). Since he gets taught by all the races, he has no idea who to believe. Also, he is thrust into a war and gets to see about a hundred or so people in a heaped up pile being burned, so he may be a little concerned that the same would happen to him. Oh, and when he saw those corpses, he was 15 and IMMEDIATELY was almost killed.
Short version: He has a reason to be worried and upset, so angst makes more sense than wangst.
Don't make me destroy you. @ Castle SeriesI'd like to cross-wick a newly-launched trope. I'm not familiar with the work, so I'm posting the example as it appeared in ykttw discussion with some added formatting.
The locked page is Gor.
- Translation by Volume: In Savages of Gor, where a Red Savage (Fantasy Counterpart Culture to Native American) of the Dust Leg tribe talks slowly and loudly in his native language to a Beautiful Slave Girl who only speaks Gorean.
Hope it's all right.
EDIT: The quote doesn't view quite all right in my post. I'm not sure why as it looks OK on the trope page.

Fair enough; it's done.
I put that in the first section; is that right?
I think that's right. The troper who posted that example in ykttw mentioned literature, not the movie series. Thanks!
For Underboobs, please add from Dog Days Yukikaze and Adelaide, who both sport this look with their swimsuits.
On the complete monster page, I think we came to the conclusion to cut everyone but Kronos, Kalas, Martins, Kern, and Daimler from he Highlander TV show example.
