TLP Crash Rescue - Fixing prematurely launched TLPs and pages

Just found YMMV Climactic Non Finale which was launched yesterday, is not indexed, doesn't appear to have undergone any crosswicking, and looks like it could be a potential complaining-magnet.

Looking at it's YKTTW archive also shows that whilst it did have 5 hats, it also had 1 bomb, so shouldn't that mean it technically only has 4 hats.

Saw that. Kinda seemed like "Dénouement, but with complaining."

Hm, that is one example where the early YKTTW drafts actually seem better than the final product.

Paranormal Mundane Item just got launched, but still needs work. And probably for Mundane to go before Paranormal in the name, because that's what it's about.

What's weird is that the sponsor, ~Just Troper, agreed to rename the trope to Mundane Paranormal Item but then launched the trope as Paranormal Mundane Item. That said, I think it only needs the rename. What other work does it need?

Like Snowy Nights suggested that Paranormal should go first because it's a mundane item that turns out to be paranormal, and not vice versa, and I went along with this. If you want to rename it, I'm Ok with that.

first thing I saw was using Roman numerals for centuries, which isn't standard and is obviously confusing for those who don't know Roman numerals.The first sentence could do with rephrasing.

Yeh, the rules of adjectival order would put Mundane first.

Replaced Roman numerals with ordinary ones, you can rename if you like.

Judicial Wig is an appearance trope, but for judges and lawyers. The description even says "This may seem like People Sit On Chairs to some Tropers." I think this trope could be cut.

Every example is a judge, and unlike Scales of Justice, this is not a particularly common symbol of a concept (whereas Scales of Justice can be seen in various religions and other cultures).

Someone has launched Caught in the Ripple — it had been taken over by Morgenthaler, but somebody thought it was launchworthy a bit early and hit the button, not doing any of the work afterwards, either. To the extent that the notes are still at the top. Can we get a simple unlaunch, please?

Seconded. Toxic Holy Grenade did not participate in the discussion for that draft at all (unless it was under a different handle). Tempted to call it a troll launch.

This troper has some editing problems, too. Adding Word Cruft on Break Up Make Up Scenario, adding something about tomboys being lesbians on Tomboy, and adding some (arguably) useless information on Argument of Contradictions. Note that all of that was in the descriptions of tropes.

Found FanficRecs.Media and FanWorks.Media which appear to be someones fanfiction, the mods may want to lock them after it has been dealt with since I think other edktors have done similar things before on those pages

Dungeon Travelers 2 has only two tropes listed, after I took lolicon off for being misused/questionable.

- Well, there's a Characters page... With ~6+ tropes... And it's an RPG, so it likely has Character Levels, Hit Points, Mana Points, etc...

- Copy over the tropes from the Character Sheets? I know Fighteer said not to do that ~3 months ago on ATT... And that there was more discussion elsewhere, but I forget what the conclusion is...

"In the wiki's organizing structure, a basic principle is that any particular example of a trope should exist once across all of a work's subpages."

The proper action would be to move the tropes from the Characters subpage and then cut the latter.

Superman Substitute was recently launched, but I'm not sure if it should be mentioned here or the expy clean-up thread. The first line of the description even says this is Expy but specific to Superman expies. I'm not sure if it should be cut, but it seems too strange not to at least mention here.

I get the feeling that there is something tropeworthy about that, but it seems to be covered by Flying Brick and The Cape.

Sentient Stars was recently launched. AFAIK a trope's name shouldn't be pluralized unless it's essential to the definition, which isn't true for this trope since some examples have nonsentience/nonsapience being the norm for stars. I propose cutting the current article and transplanting the content to Sentient Star (or, preferably, Sapient Star, since "sentience" can mean things other than "self-awareness" or "human-level intelligence" even in fiction, whereas "sapience" is much more consistently defined) and changing the handful of wicks appropiately.

Another recent launch is Sci-Fi Flyby. Is this really a trope?

Star singular would probably be better, but I think Sentient is quite adequate. I had actually been planning to propose Living Star. The examples all fall under Sapient, but I don't see any reason to force that to be the bounds of the trope.
