This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

I think so.
I'm fine with that. I'd prefer to stick with just the third panel though, since it ends with the trope name and gets to the heart of the trope more effectively.

Alright, I'll make that switch.
The quote on True Beauty Is on the Inside is just a rebuttal to the trope. It doesn't inform it.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Right. It should probably be removed.
Kick The Son Of A Bitch has two quotes. Which one do we want to keep?
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI prefer the second one, since it's shorter and doesn't reference dogs.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I don't really see what the first quote has to do with the trope.
I agree with the two tropers above me.
The current quote for Final Fantasy X-2 is just gushing about the game's transition effects. Could use something more relevant.
agree about Kick the Dog, get rid of the first quote
Pandering to the Base could use something more Tropes Are Not Bad.

I am thinking one of Yuna's quotes....hrmmmmm...
Light 'em Up has two quotes. I like both. Which do we keep?
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerI think the second one is more relevant to the actual trope. The first quote is pretty, but it doesn't really have anything to do with light as an Elemental Power.

Agree. I don't even see how the first quote is relevant.
I'm thinking No Man of Woman Born should keep the first quote, since the second one is already on the page image.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerBliss Stage has two quotes with weird formatting and they are quite long.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPersonally, I'd lean towards keeping the first one.
Hailfire Peaks has a quote with no attribution.

Oh sweet, Page Quote Picking Thread? Yes, please.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I put up the current quote on Pimped-Out Dress, but it actually doesn't really inform the trope as much as Conspicuous Consumption. Anyone know of some quotes that inform this trope, preferably that don't look like just Costume Porn descriptions?
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Hobbes Was Right doesn't really seem to fit the definition. It looks more like Eviler than Thou.

Fight smart, not fair.I don't really think that "some tvtropes editor" really qualifies as a valid quote source. Self-quoting seems awfully cheap to me. It misses the whole point of a "quote".
The bottom quote on the quotes page seems like a good replacement to me.

Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
Would the text from the third and fourth panels of this, or at least the third, work well enough for Drunk with Power? Especially since it invokes the trope?
