This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Duct Tape for Everything was missing the standard hidden comment about "one quote only please", so I added that after removing the new quote (which was already on the quotes page).
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.I agree that that would make a better quote.
Same here.
Worthy Opponent and No Body Left Behind have two quotes each. I prefer the first one in both.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I agree on both of those.
Animal Wrongs Group has two quotes.
I like the Onion article one best.
- Sigh*, I hate to admit it, but the Onion quote is funnier and more to the trope (I don't care about the Onion and it feels strange quoting them), but is it really a good idea to have a quote displayed on the front page that bashes a Animals Rights Group? Yeah, a lot of PETA fanatics are not all there and, yes, it is satire, but it just kind of feels awkward using the millionth joke made at PETA's expense.
The Onion quote is honestly just better, regardless of one's feelings on PETA. Much pithier.
Pick the Onion one.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman+1 for the Onion quote.
I told the judge when he sentenced me, "This is my finest hour!
I'd kill those farmers again just to save one more cauliflower!"
Nice. Make "I'd" into "I would" and you could make that into a Tanka. (5-7-5-7-7) Japanese poem in the same vein as a Haiku. (5-7-5)
It's the next couplet following the Arrogant Worms page quote. :P ...and it's better than the page quote.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableEither way, I like it.

On the other hand, it's not called Vegetable Wrongs Group (which was my other problem with the other quote).
I still prefer the Onion quote.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee. The Onion is so darn funny. Please keep that one. Also, Brevity Is Wit.
Thread is tl;dr and I have a policy question. I've seen people delete tropes' page quotes for being used on other tropes. Is it policy to only use a given quote on one trope?
In which case, the page quote we settled on for Orbital Bombardment in YKTTW needs to be replaced or removed since it was already in use on Nuke 'em.
Duplicates are frowned upon - not likely that the same quote works for two tropes equally.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe thread is not meant for reading start-to-finish.
When two pages have the same quote, it's likely that the quote fits one better than the other, and the wiki is more interesting if quotes are not duplicated. However, in this particular case I wouldn't remove the quote from either page — they both work well, though a replacement for one would be fine.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.I agree with this.
Speaking of the Nuke 'em quote, maybe the It's the Only Way to Be Sure quote should be replaced with the Schlock Mercenary one. It's a duplicate, plus just using the Trope Namer in cases like this is redundant.

Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
Not fond of the Austin Powers quote on Not So Different. It's a subversion, which is never a good idea. How's this one instead?
->The line between hero and villain is so faint, it might as well not be there at all. Disagree? Consider this: A group breaks into a residence, kills everyone inside, and makes off with anything of value. Robbers sacking a roadside cottage are named villains for such a deed, yet adventurers who storm a goblin warren and do the same are dubbed heroes. The difference? You tell me because I cannot see it. ->— Lord Robilar, The Book of Vile Darkness
edit: Blargh, quote formatting screwed up. You get the point.
