Name: Doctor Horrible
Universe: Doctor Horribles Singalong Blog shortly after the song "Brand New Day"
Appearance: Image here◊
Powers/Skills: Quick costume changes, gadgeteering genius, singing ability
Equipment: Freeze ray (freezes time on a localised area for a short while), Stun Ray (very flashy gun that stuns people. Has tendency to explode.)
Entry Point: C
"Why did you pick this Character?": I try to pick characters close to my personality. I can emphasize with Doctor Horrible quite well
edited 11th May '11 12:03:29 AM by Taneb
@ Taneb:
If you're willing to have the Freeze Ray take a while to charge up and require a lot of energy to use (I think I remember this being the case anyway, though I could be wrong), then that sounds fine. I'll be looking forward to seeing what sort of things he manages to invent over the course of the season.

@Thunder: I agree with you on the invincibility. The breaking guard a little less so. Gene already has several moves that can break someone's guard, the God Hand mode simply allows all moves to break guard. However I'm happy to concede if you don't change your opinion.
And don't worry, there shall be several Dragon Kicks, I'll make sure of it.
Sometimes I even amaze myself. Currently: Nice and sneaky likeYou've got a point about the guard-breaking, now that I think about it. Alright, that sounds fine.
Here goes, finally, S3 is here!
- Name: Experiment 625, Reuben.
- Universe: Lilo And Stitch.
- Appearance: The avatar.
- Powers/Skills: I'm finding the link to the discussion page where this is listed and accepted by Dr.Thunder.
- Equipment: Sandwiches, sandwich ingredients.
- Entry point C.
- Why Did I pick this character?: Due to his personality, it is literally just like that of my own irl, I love his wisecracking personality and love for sandwiches. The Slacker, classic.
Is it OK?

- Name: Reala
- Universe: NiGHTS into Dreams, after the events of both games. The "bad ending" of Journey of Dreams applies (so that Nightmare and the Nightmarens are definitely not completely wiped out)
- Appearance: Image◊
- Powers/Skills:
- As a first-level Nightmaren, he has higher cognition and demonstrates free will, unlike the lower-level Nightmarens.
- Unlimited free flight
- Paraloop: While flying, Reala emits trails of stardust from his hands. Completing a closed loop with these trails creates a strong gravitational field in the area of the loop. Enemies and objects inside the loop will get caught in the center of the field and take heavy crushing damage from the intense gravity, while objects nearby will simply be pulled towards the loop for a (very) brief period of time. (Note: This is a pretty ridiculously strong attack, in-universe. I'm attempting to tone the raw power down quite a bit.)
- Drill Dash: Can rapidly spin to increase flight speed at the cost of maneuverability. Can use this to deliver high-power impacts by dashing head-on into a target (capable of breaking weak stone walls, for example).
- Touch-Dash: A standstill variant of the Drill-Dash, Reala can grab an object (or small enemy), rotate around the object to aim, and launch the object by Drill Dashing into it.
- Can command third-level Nightmarens (more or less mindless Mooks who can't really do a whole lot), should they be available; he has no power to summon them at will.
- Equipment: Only a regular Persona. It doesn't grant any special powers; it is simply a symbol of loyalty to Wizeman, the god of Nightmare. (This is the gold, feathered mask seen in the linked image.)
- Entry Point: C
- "Why did you pick this character?": The NiGHTS games are some of my absolute favorites, both in terms of gameplay and plot (the world is quite well-developed for a two-game series, the first of which didn't have much but a few simple CGI scenes to push the plot). Representing this series was the second thing that jumped to my mind. (The first was to play Alex Trebek. That was a short-lived idea.) Anyway, Reala is IMO the most well-developed character in the series, and probably the most fun to play.

- Name: Rogue AKA Anne Marie Raven
- Universe: Marvel Universe, though from the relative past, circe the 1990s in terms of publication.
- Appearance: Links◊
- Powers/Skills:Rogue is a mutant.
- Power Absorption:
Rogue also absorbs gross physical characteristics from a victim, but her physical appearance does not change when she absorbs abilities and memories from a normal looking human being. The victim's abilities and memories are absorbed for what in the RP would be a 6:1 ratio, meaning that for every one post of actual contact, Rogue has six posts to utilize that power before it fades away. Those touched are rendered unconscious by contact with her, though some powerful beings, including Juggernaut and Mojo have resisted this effect. Any person rendered unconscious by Rogue's touch will wake up when Rogue loses their power. While in this RP, her use of this power will be involuntary.
This transfer is usually temporary, lasting for a period of time relative to how long contact is maintained, but the transfer may become permanent in certain cases. For example, she absorbed Ms. Marvel's powers permanently due to unknown reasons (Ms. Marvel's strange mix of human and Kree DNA may have had something to do with it). Most often the process happens instantly when Rogue touches someone, but in certain instances where a being has possessed an extraordinary level of power they are able to resist her, and she may only share part of their memories and power.
Her power is proved to be lethal. Mutants are proved to be stronger than humans because mutants have mutated genetics, which means that her power does less lethal effects for most mutants than humans. Her flirt, Cody Robbins, was in coma state for 3 weeks with just a brief touch. If she had touched Cody a bit longer, he had been already dead. It proves that if she touches her victim too long, she may kill her victim because of too much loss of energies due to the absorption, except if she voluntarily kills her victim with her deadly touch. Although mutants are stronger than humans, she can still voluntarily kill mutants with her deadly touch as she wishes. Generally, most characters in the RP would be stronger than normal human if they actually have a power that Rogue would be able to absorb.
As Rogue is absorbing the total psyche of a person, there is a risk of a personality overwhelming her and taking control of her body, including Spiral and Mr. Sinister who both proved to be the dominant personality. It has also been shown that even though Rogue forgets the memories she has absorbed when a psyche returns to its body, 'echoes' of their personalities remain buried in her mind.
Robotic beings are immune to her power as are undead. Depending on the amount of organics left, she can usually affect cyborgs, though not take any powers granted by cybernetics. Powerful enough beings can withstand her touch and attempt to impose their own will on her or cause a feedback loop.
Due to unknown factors Rogue permanently absorbed superhuman powers from Ms. Marvel, though those powers have disappeared after battling Vargas. It has been suggested that Ms. Marvel's unique physiology played a role.
- Super Strength (from Ms. Marvel): For the purposes of this RP, Rogue possess this power equal to the strengh of other characters in this RP with this ability.
- Flight (from Ms. Marvel): She has the ability of flight, though for the purposes of this RP, it will be fast, but not fast enough to break a challenge.
- Equipment: Her X-Men outfit, as pictured, which is designed explicitly to not tear as to avoid accidental contact. She also has a jacket which has pockets to store things like her keys and wallet, though keys and a wallet will more than likely not be useful at all in this RP.
- Entry Point: Either A or B, but not C as it has Kirby in it, who has similar powers.
- "Why did you pick this character?": Because I believe Rogue in general is an interesting character in terms of personality. Like many Marvel characters, Rogue has a flaw, but her flaw is that her power is also her curse. She is unable to know the touch of another being, and should she use her power to its fullest, she could lose her very sense of self in the process.

Wizard Needs Food BadlyGeez, let's get some love for Group B.
@ Bamack:
Yep, that looks fine. I already looked at it earlier, but just find the post so we can reference it if necessary.
@ Lavos:
Sounds good to me. I appreciate you taking it into your own hands to balance your character. I don't really know much about Ni GHTS, so this should be interesting.
@ GG:
Looks good.

- Name: May
- Universe: Pokemon Emerald, about four years after she returned from the last City and three-and-a-half years after she became Champion.
- Appearance: Here. She's my avatar as well.
- Powers/Skills: She's a Pokemon Trainer, with a team consisting of Gardevoir, Blaziken, Mightyena, Linoone, Ludicolo and Skarmory. -phew- That took a lot of link-pasting...
- Equipment: Aside from her team, May will have a backpack containing a fold-up bike, some berries and healing items (let's say six Hyper Potions, one for each of her Pokemon), three Pokeballs (although I don't expect her to use them) and stuff like a change of clothes, food and money. She'd also have a Pokenav, but it didn't work in the last City and I'd be surprised if it did in this one.
- Entry Point: Um... Let's go with B.
- "Why did you pick this character?": I chose May in Season 2 mostly out of nostalgia. Emerald was my favourite Pokemon game, and since I was at the high point of my semi-regular-recurring-Pokemon-obsession-cycle, I wanted to choose a character from that franchise. So I picked May. The reason I'm bringing her back is because I gave her a fair bit of Character Development last season and I want to expand on that. I like May.

Anyway here's BlackwallLooks good, Kiri.
- Name: Jim Raynor.
- Universe: Starcraft 2, just before the incursion onto Char to rescue Kerrigan.
- Appearance: Have◊ pictures!◊ Armor too!◊ (Unless he finds it during the season, he won't have that rifle though.)
- Powers/Skills: A badass normal, Raynor is trained in use of power armor and a variety of weaponry. In fights he seems to be a combat pragmatist, yet understands the ideas of honor enough to even befriend certain Protoss.
- Equipment: Besides his hand cannon revolver with one bullet left, Raynor would be entering with his customised power armor and a C-14 impaler. The power armor will be stuck on him until he finds a mobile barracks which I plan on having entered in later on.
- Entry Point: B, because it has the least number of people so far.
- "Why did you pick this character?": After fretting over choosing between Raynor and Altair, I have decided to go with Raynor because more people I asked for suggestions suggested him than Altair, though I'm keeping Altair in mind as a backup character choice. I have a preferance for protagionists because I can fit that mindset better, and badass normals because I have more fun being creative with them in combat. Where as my previous character choices covered one or the other, Raynor (and Altair) manages to fit both. Also, I've always been a fan of the Starcraft series, and picked Raynor as a candidate for this season while playing through Starcraft 2.
Also, a GM note: The entirety of RED team has already been reserved, but will not be appearing right away this season. Signup post(s) for them will be made at a later date.

You are reading this.•Name: Geralt of Rivia
•Universe: The Witcher-verse, shortly after the book The Last wish
•Appearance: A pic◊ And another pic◊
•Powers/Skills: He's a master swordsman, having his reflexes and senses enhanced by various mutations to the grade that the can parry/block/catch an arrow in flight. He are also capable of casting simple spells called signs, the first is Aard which is basically a telekinetic push infront of him. The second sign is the Igni sign which unleashes a burst of fire infront of Geralt. The Third sign is the Yrden sign which places a magical trap on the ground that can either repell, damage or inflict diffrent alinments. The 5th sign is called Quen which creates a protective shield around Geralt. The last sign is the Axii Sign which quite simply confuses the opponent. He's also very resistant to poisons and diseases, and is a skilled alchemist/chemist, capable of brewing several potions, poisons and make bombs with resources he gathers from his prey and the nature.
•Equipment: A silver sword for monsters, a steel sword forged from meteorite iron for men, a dagger for skinning, and a metal hook and an amulet that warns for magic and monsters.
•Entry Point: B.
•"Why did you pick this character?": Well I chose Geralt mainly because I'm a Witcher fan :P.

OBLIGATORY SIGN UP POST, GO!
- Name: Aki Kawachi
- Universe: Originally a generic one, then the Facility and its associated pocket dimensions, then 40K somehow. Not quite sure how that happened. Anyway, 4 years have passed since the end of the last season.
- Appearance: Don't play that game. Taller though than she was last season, I guess. And spottier too, puberty is a bitch.
- Powers/skills: Fuck, this means I have to remember all the fuckers.
- Powers: Healing Factor, limited enchanced strength due to modified muscle density (within reason; she could kick your ribs in but she's not gonna be lifting any cars or anything ricockulous), shotgun hands (just roll with it), increased agility, implanted blades in the lower forearms, yadda yadda yadda. Generally pretty durable, as well. Or at least, more durable than a normal squishy person would be.
- Abilities: Large amounts of combat prowess and a reasonably good shot. No social skills to back that shit up, though. Like, at all. Aki is a silent awkward blight on the surface of the universe, into which conversations fall and character interaction is never seen again.
- Equipment: The longboat Cain gave her and some .410 bore ammunition provided she can get it. Oh, and the first volume of the Imperium's Commissariat training programme. Other than that nowt, lad.
- Entry Point: A, which does indeed stand for awkward.
- "Why did you pick this character?": In all honesty, prodding aimlessly at my parental instincts is the only way I can feel anything any more.

- Name: Riku
- Universe: Kingdom Hearts; indeterminate time after Kingdom Hearts II.
- Appearance: Boom.◊
- Powers/Skills:
- Dark Aura: Launches a number of orbs of Dark Fire at the target.
- Dark Shield: Creates a temporary barrier of Dark energy to block attacks. Works similar to Reflect only without damaging the attacker.
- Equipment:
- Keyblade: "Way to the Dawn"
- Entry Point: No preference.
- "Why did you pick this character?": Seemed like a good idea at the time.
@ Claw:
Looks fine, although the syntax appears to be rebelling against you. Also, your character seems to be missing a fourth sign.
@ Deadbeat:
Okay.
@ Mal:
No way, get out. We don't want your kind around here.

- Name: Red
- Universe: From the Pokemon universe, four years after being in the city, and thus four years after Heart Gold/Soul Silver.
- Appearance: Whoop.◊
- Powers/Skills: Red himself doesn't have any particular powers and skills, just a mind to strategize things and is rather agile to dodge things thrown at him. He has six Pokemon on his team, however.
- Pikachu: Volt Tackle, Iron Tail, Quick Attack, Thunderbolt.
- Lapras: Blizzard, Brine, Psychic, Body Slam.
- Snorlax: Blizzard, Shadow Ball, Crunch, Giga Impact.
- Venusaur: Sleep Powder, Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb, Frenzy Plant.
- Charizard: Flare Blitz, Air Slash, Dragon Pulse, Blast Burn.
- Blastoise: Focus Blast, Blizzard, Flash Cannon, Hydro Cannon.
- Equipment: 6 Max Potions and 6 Full Restores.
- Entry Point: C
- "Why did you pick this character?": Reprising him from the second season, as well as to elaborate further on his character built on the previous season. *

A pie bus falls into a multiversal convergence point. Hilarity ensues.Okay, looks good.
- Name: Susan Sto-Helit
- Universe: Discworld
- Appearance: [1]◊ She also has a birthmark visible when she blushes- Three faint lines on her cheek, inherited from Mort.
- Powers/Skills: As the granddaughter of Death himself, she 'inherits' * some of his abilities: In her own world, she can "walk through walls and live outside time and be a little bit immortal", as well as taking over Death's job whenever he needs a break. For this universe, it's doubtful she'll be able to live outside of time, since she's not the City's Death, and so it basically boils down to:
- Intangibility enough to walk through walls if she needs too
- Death's Compelling Voice, which might work and might not. Its effects are very limited, and only works with complete reliability on the undead.
- Possibly the ability to sense death when it happens?
- Equipment: I haven't quite decided yet (and it's up to the GMs as well), but she may have Death's Scythe * with her. If not, she'll just have a perfectly normal, slightly bent fireplace poker◊. Which she uses to kill Eldritch Abominations, the nightmares of children, and this guy.◊ It's doubtful the Pale Steed of Death, Binky, would come along. Death needs him.
- Entry Point: No preference, but stick her somewhere interesting.
- "Why did you pick this character?": Because it'll be a refreshing change from 40k's utter bleakness to Discworld's sarcastic optimism. Also, because Susan is the greatest.
edited 11th May '11 3:23:02 AM by Hydrall
@ hydrall: If the compelling voice only really effects the undead it might be OK. I don't see anything wrong with the death sense either.
As for weapons, I would have thought Death needed his scythe. Personally, I'd give her the sword instead, but the poker of doom is also an awesome idea
Anyway, Susan is very accepted, once we iron out the voice thing.

- Name: Jenny "XJ-9" Wakeman.
- Universe: My Life As A Teenage Robot
- Appearance: See avatar.
- Powers/Skills: Do-Anything Robot, see list of powers/abilities/gadgets in discussion thread. She's more or less got a gadget for any situation, although for obvious reasons I'm not taking that as carte blanche to blatantly godmod (Discusssed and approved by Dr Thunder).
- Entry Point: Group C
- "Why did you pick this character?": Because MLAATR is a surprisingly underrated show, despite being extremely good, and Jenny is adorable.

- Name: Sub-Zero (Real Name: Kuai-Liang)
- Universe: Mortal Kombat, somewhere just after Deception and before Armageddon .
- Appearance: Just link a picture, please. Can do!◊
- Powers/Skills: Sub-Zero is a Cryomancer, possessing the power to flash-freeze objects and the air itself. He is also a proficient fighter, trained in Shotokan Karate and Dragon Shaolin Boxing.
- Equipment: Nothing of note. Possibly a Kori Blade, but that might not count since he forms it on the battlefield.
- Entry Point: No Preference. Unless Flanker starts actually playing. In which case wherever he goes.
- "Why did you pick this character?": I am a big fan of Sub-Zero. I would have been Shepard, but the massive amount of possible customisation and Garrus being around swerved me away. The appearance I picked is my favourite yet: Mortal Kombat 9 attire, even if it is a bit off. since I stated between Armageddon and Deception.

Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.Here goes nothing:
- Name: Cloud Strife
- Universe: Two years after the events of Final Fantasy VII, which is during Dirge of Cerberus
- Appearance: Concept Art◊, CG Render◊ and DoC appearance◊.
- Powers/Skills:
- Limit Breaks. Rarely used, though.
- Slight control over the Fusion Swords. Also rarely seen, but naturally part of a few limit breaks.
- Equipment:
- Fusion Swords. To put simply, a set of six swords that combine to one.
- Fenrir. His motorcycle first seen at Advent Children and holds the Fusion Swords.
- Entry Point: C (?)
- "Why did you pick this character?": It isn't a matter of why, but why not. But if you really need an explanation, well, in Dissidia, he's defined as a pick-up-and-go character, meaning he's easy to play as even for beginners to get the hang of it. More than that, out of all the Dissidia characters, he's the one I know about the most. I've considered Laguna Loire, Kain Highwind or Squall Leonhart, but I don't know them as well as Cloud.
@ Locoman: Thunder already approved your list of gadgets, so AFAIK you're good.
@ Plumbum: Welcome to the RP. Unfortunately I know pretty much squat about Mortal Kombat. Going by your wiki links, the only thing I'd have to question his ability to freeze opponents solid. Still, if the attacks that do that are dodgable, and its possible to defend against it, it might not be so bad.
Thats pretty much the only problem I can see, though.
@ Leonheart: Looks good to me.
edited 11th May '11 4:59:05 AM by Gaunt88
@ Luke:
The invincibility seems a tad too strong, especially given how powerful Gene already is. Let's say no invincibility and the God Hand's unleashed state makes it much easier for him to break someone's guard, rather than automatically breaking it. Does that sound alright?
Other than that, it all sounds okay. I'm looking forward to some Dragon Kicks.
