So, as a counterpoint to the other thread, this is where we talk about entries that we find incredibly amusing and intelligent. To start us out, I present the entirety of Real Life, which had me cracking up when I first read it.

From Summon Everyman Hero, under Literature folder:

The good guys wanted leadership. They get a USMC Gunnery Sergeant (in full dress uniform). His first words to them: "Who's in charge of this circle jerk?" Well, from then on, he is.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.

There used to be this one thing (I think now deleted) on the Headscratchers page for Justin Bieber that didn't necessarily make me "Lol", but it did confuse the hell out of me:

  • Why won't the baby drink his milk? Why is he so cold?

Is there seriously something I'm missing here?

EDIT: It's still freaking there! And apparently a reference to something only vaguely related. So, not a Headscratcher, I'd assume?

[up]It's a reference to a Happy Harry cartoon called "The Justin Bieber Show." It's not a Headscratcher, it's someone making a lame joke.

The first three tropes listed on William Shakespeares Romeo And Juliet read as follows:

  • Ambiguously Gay: Mercutio.
  • Black Best Friend: Mercutio.
  • Black Dude Dies First: Mercutio.

[up] Isn't Black Dude Dies First supposed to be horror-specific?

As mentioned in TRS, Easy Logistics has an example in the Real Life section that begins 'Averted for most of human history'... and is longer than most of the other examples on the page. XD

"It's a game for little girls! I can't make past the first levels!

On the page for the E.T. video game (bolded for emphasis):

Kill Screen: Subverted. If you give Elliot at least 33 Reese's Pieces the score count will be glitched up, ET will turn black and the Scientist and the FBI Agent will never appear. You can still go on. It's just boring with no enemies around.
Doesn't that make the assumption that the game is exciting played normally?

[up][up] What scares me is, something that specific means that somebody actually did it! And the other scary thing is, I can imagine exactly how it would look.

From the Western Animation Dork Age page:

...as well as Fred and Barney in a Buddy Cop Show, patrolling the streets with a goddamn Shmoo, which was constantly molesting Fred.

Something about how obviously irate the editor was, plus the nonsensical sentence, never fails to crack me up.

I had to Google what "shmoo" means. I don't quite remember Barney and Fred being cops when the Great Gazoo was harassing them...

There's a joke about someone shipping a pair of mongooses to a zoo and being unsure of what the plural of "mongoose" is. They start out writing a note referring them to "mongooses", then try "mongeese", and eventually resort to writing "Enclosed is the mongoose you ordered. Also enclosed is the other mongoose you ordered".

  • Silly. It's polygoose.

Historical Badass Upgrade: Though it's irrefutably true that Washington performed most of the actions in the video, Cox and Combes give him several extra penises.
