General All-Purpose Crossover Fiction Thread

A crapload of my stuff.

Neon Knights: Mega Crossover featuring Neon Genesis Evangelion, Rebuild Of Evangelion, Gurren Lagann, Code Geass, Full Metal Panic, some light Gao Gai Gar, eventually will include Gundam and a certain other Gainax show that I will not name yet. Also people from other universes that I use for minor characters because I don't want to make too many OCs.

Burning Vengeance: recommended on the Eva fanfic thread. Shinji is a Ghost Rider, but this story actually flows a fair bit differently from the other Eva GR fics out there.

Spirit of a Ranger: Evangelion crossover with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. (probably) Better Than It Sounds, even though the action hasn't started up yet. I'm trying to keep a sense of Original Flavor with it, at least as much as I can.

Prodigal Son: currently just a What If?-style one-shot, but I'll continue it if I get more feedback from people. Basically, Shinji gets dropped into the world of Durarara and is almost immediately set upon by the Slasher. He then absorbs all of Saika's Yandere but maintains enough of himself that he doesn't become a new Slasher himself, per se. If I ever continue it, it'll probably have lots of Mind Screw.

The Next Decade: Also a What If?-style oneshot at the moment, alternately just a prologue. Shinji becomes the successor to Kamen Rider Decade.

Shinji and Super Smash Bros.: Not so much a crossover as it is an Affectionate Parody of Shinji And Warhammer 40 K, using Super Smash Bros. Currently just one short chapter, but I'm almost ready to update it.

I actually got my lazy ass moving and started to write the Metal Gear Solid / Kingdom Hearts crossover I've had in my head all this time (the concept in a nutshell is Shadow Moses Island being one of the worlds Sora and Co. visit). I've had a bit of hard time since 1) English is my second language, and 2) I've never done something like this before; but I won't use that as an excuse to make a lousy story.

So far I'm in the middle of chapter 1; I got concepts of how the story as a whole would go on, but I'm mostly making up the smaller bits of story as I go.

Double post time! I finished the first chapter of my crossover: Light and Darkness in Shadow Moses (the rhyming was accidental). Sora, Donald and Goofy see this new and uncharted world appearing from the shadows between the worlds; and decide to go see what's the deal with it (damn, I suck at making synopsis).

I had a idea for a Massively Mulitplayer Magical girl crossover with shades of Alternate Universe to boot.

It's still pretty raw, but here's the jist:

Basically it's an There Can Be Only One style tournament where the competitors are magical girls from different dimensions who are competing for a wish that can change fate because something happened in each of their worlds that altered how the stories are supposed to end (ie: In one world The Sorting Algorithm of Evil was skipped and enemies to strong to beat showed up way too early). Each universe has one representative (with a single exception that I'll get to later), with patron as the source of their power.

(Some of) The competitors are:

Sailor Moon, aka Usagi Tsukino, representing the Moon Kingdom, with her patron being Queen Serenity.

Wedding Peach, aka Momoko Hanasaki, representing the angels with her patron being Aphrodite.

Sakura Kinimoto, with Clow Reed as her patron.

Homura Akemi, representing our favorite Pink haired Reality Warper, Godess Madoka.

Now it gets interesting: Nagisa Misumi (Cure Black) and Honoka Yukishiro (Cure White). Since they have to be together to transform, they are considered a single magical girl, and can act as a team. Both must be defeated in order to gain a victory. Their patron is whoever the hell is in charge of the original Pretty Cure world's powers.

Those are just some of the girls I've considered. Also, it's not necessary to use main characters (Homura is tricky since you can say she is the main character, and isn't). And Enemies from the respective series will show up as mooks to be defeated, with their energy going towards empowering the wish. Killing a monster from their world earns the most energy, but they can still gain such from killing monsters from a different world. Also, killing the other competitors is not mandatory, but not against the rules, and is totally up to the girls themselves.

There are other series I planned to use (Tokyo Mew Mew, Mai Hime, etc) to keep up high numbers, and I admitedly still haven't figured out who set the whole thing up, or why the girls stories got so screwed up yet.

Also, I haven't watched most of these shows, so that makes it hard for me to do, however, it's a free idea, so anyone who's feeling ambitious can give it a shot(it would not be the first time I put out an idea and someone else ran with it. It would be the second time though if your a regular on the Fate Stay Night fanfiction thread, where I did just that).

Hm... How will Mentor Mascots play in the tournament?

If they got em, they can use em. if not, then they ain't doing shit.

And yes, Kyuubey can be his loveable self as well.

Adding to my current Idea:

• Planned on having Sailor Moon and Wedding Peach having a bit of a rivalry (playing up their similarities through comparisons of their animes, while using any relevant Manga info to play up differences)

• Some girls will have some Clark Kenting going on, most specifically the ones who can't be recognized outside of disguises. Homura technically won't but will compensate by using her Moemura look as her disguise, and using stealth tactics to avoid anyone getting a good look at her. As for everyone else, that will depend of the whims of the writer.

• There will be the occasional Macguffin Hunt, where finding a certain object will increase the amount of energy exponentially (maybe defeating a certain monster, and collecting it's essence as a jewel or something along those lines). This will makes things more hectic than usual.

• Some girls will get super forms based on certain Eleventh Hour Super Power and Mid-Season Upgrade situations from their stories:
  • Usagi will have her super forms (Though I was thinking of Skipping Eternal, as I think it's too overboard, and just give her a similar level of power at Super)
  • Momoko will have her DX look
  • Sakura won't change appearance, but will be able to power up her cards to Sakura cards
  • Homura will have her Post Madoka look and the powers that world granted her.

- These forms will use up a -lot of power at first, so they will need to be used strategically. However, with enough time, they can be mastered. For other characters, it will be up to the writer whether they want to make up something or not.

That it... but I also have another idea in my head:

A Urusei Yatsura / To Love Ru crossover. It starts with Lala ending up in a random person's bathtub after Teleporting just like in the beginning of her series...

Only that bathtub is on the cruiser Lum was taking to earth, and Lum is still in it.

Same deal as the Magical Girl Crossover; I haven't really seen either series, so I can't really write it (or to be more precise, I feel it should be written by someone who knows both series, or is willing to watch both). It may also crossover with a third series, possibly Love Hina (Keitaro's immortality would really be put to the test with these two, even more than Naru). I considered the thought that both end up engaged to him just like their main series, with the revelation that this punny human is about to become the ruler of two of the most powerful alien empires in existence (and may be able to unite them as well). That would be some real political craziness.The only request I would. Ask is that at one point, the girl engage in a Humongous Mecha battle, with their mechs looking identical to Neo Okusaer and Go Okusaer.

Why those two? I just like their design, and Fanservice fembots would make sense for two(three if you count Love Hina) notorious fanservice series.

Handsome Rob: For your Magical Girl There Can Be Only One thing (which in my head I am calling Magical Girl Melee), I would add Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha.

Oh yeah. I forgot to mention Nanoha! I had her in mind as well.

She'd be based on his first series look, with her super form being her movie look. All other character traits apply.

So yes, you would get to see Nanoha blasting the crap out of Sakura Kinimoto if necessary.

I was thinking that Nanoha's Super Mode would be her appearance in Striker S. If you felt like including more of the franchise, you could also use Vivio from Magical Fighter G Vivio.

Has anyone ever done a Ben Ten and My Life As A Teenage Robot or a Ben Ten and Megas XLR crossover where Jenny or Megas gets upgraded by Ben's Upgrade form? Haven't watched much of Ben Ten, but you can't tell me that wouldn't make an excellent Eleventh Hour Super Power.

Also, what would you tropers like to see in a The Spectacular Spider Man and Transformers Animated crossover?

That's not bad. Though I haven't read much of Vivio. Like I said, most of these stories I haven't seen, and wouldn't have the patience to actually look up, so I decided to try the same thing I did in the Fate fanfiction thread and put it out there for anyone to try.

You mean like a homage to Spidey's appearance in the early issues of Transformers G1 comic? That'd be pretty cool.

I was going to suggest Subaru to represent Striker S, but figured you'd want to keep it to Magical Girls rather than include Magical (almost)-Women.

OH MY FREAKING GOD. The idea of 'The Button' being taken Up To Eleven is somewhere between High Octane Nightmare Fuel and Awesomeness Overload.

More or less yeah. Though Subaru is only in her mid teens, so she still kinda counts, but I thought Classic Nanoha would be better.

Yeah, probably better to keep it to those whom are not restricted to Japanese soil.

Are you thinking of taking it on?

Not really, the only series mentioned that I'm familiar with are Card Captor Sakura, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and the Lyrical Nanoha franchise. And knowing me, it'd probably turn Subaru and SaintKing!Vivio as the most likely victors, with Sayaka Miki as the probable third-runner. On the other hand, I could also make Sakura incredibly dangerous to her opponents. After all, depending on what point in the timeline used, she's got more than enough power for it.

Even aside from the above points, though, I simply haven't as much time to do all the writing I'd like with my own ideas, much less pick up on somebody else's. Having said that, however, I'd be more than happy to be a collaborator/beta/sounding board for whoever does pick it up, though. And I am interested in Sailor Moon and Pretty Cure, I simply don't have the time to investigate them properly (have read the manga for Sailor Moon up to around the point where Rei shows up, though).

Oh well. that's how it goes.

Also, any takes on the To Love Ru / Urusei Yatsura possibly third series idea?

I'd love to see someone try.

If it's Urusei Yatsura and To Love Ru, the third series in the crossover should be Keroro Gunso.
