     Pre-Reveal
2022 Sentai guesses
  • Living Weapons who can take on human forms
    • Each member will be patterned around a distinct weapon from a past Sentai.
    • To contrast with Zenkaiger, there will be multiple female team members. I mean, this is already basically
    • Confirmed with the series' Evil Ranger, Don Murasame/Ninjarksword.
Sentai weapon gijinka anyway, so may as well play into it by having more than one girl.
  • Seafaring
    • The bulk of the show would be set at sea; our heroes will live on a huge ship that serves as their base, their smaller individual vehicles will be jet skis, the cast will wear boat crew uniforms and swimsuits, and the mentor will be the ship's spiffily dressed captain. Even the civilians will be people who go out sailing for leisure or the crews of cargo freighters and fishing vessels. The only time we'll see our heroes off of boats is at docking bays or beaches.
    • There will be two villain factions; one made up of pirates and another made up of sea monsters. The final villain of the season will be a sea monster who takes over the pirate fleet.
  • Mesopotamian Mythology
    • The team would each be based after creatures of Mesopotamian myths, giving them animal motifs but with a little something extra. The villains, in contrast, would be demons with names based on preexisting ones from the myths.
  • Owls
    • All the heroes will have suits and abilities based on a different species of owl.
    • The monsters will be owls that are fused with other animals.
    • The villains and mentor will be humanoid owls who hail from an alien planet or realm. The mentor will give the heroes their arsenal in order to stop the malevolent ones.
  • Sharks
    • The heroes' home base would be in an aquarium.
    • Don Murasame/Ninjarksword is shark themed.

     Pre-Premiere
The "avatar" theme
  • It might play up to the warriors being physical avatars remotely controlled by their civilian identities, the color-coded sunglasses some are shown wearing in the trailer may be the control device.
    • Jossed. They're able to transform into previous seasons' teams with the Avataro Gears, becoming avatars of the originals.

Kaito is the same one from Zenkaiger
  • The bit about him being an alternate version of the original is merely to throw people off and to avoid spoiling Zenkaiger's ending arc.
    • That seems unlikely, given that if there’s any disconnect between the reveal of a character and the way they’re portrayed, it’s more to do with the casting choices rather than outright lying.
      • What are you saying exactly?

Kijino's daughter was supposed to be the pink ranger.
However, her mother protested against it, so he had to take the role himself.
  • It might have to depend on how old his daughter is.
  • Jossed. Tsuyoshi is a newlywed with no children yet and was directly chosen to be Kiji Brother.

Kaito is going to be possessed by the God of the Worlds.
  • Which will explain his personality and suit change.
    • Additionally, his role will be to oversee the world of DonBrothers.

The Monsters of the Week are akin to Another Riders
  • The two monsters we see have motifs similar to Ryusoulger and Tokkyuger. This is on top of the Tokkyuger-styled mech combination mirroring that of the Ride Armors.
    • Confirmed on the Hitotsuoni being based off Sentai, but Jossed in that they do not have a correlation to the Alters like the theory suggests.

How Zenkai Juran/Juran Tyranno would come in to form Don ZenkaiOh
  • Zenkaizer Black summons a copy of him.
  • Don Momotaro Avatar Changes into Zenkai Juran and combines with Enya Rideon himself.
    • This one seems jossed, as leaked magazine scans show Don Momotaro becoming Zenkaizer when using the Zenkaiger Gear (unless similar to the Gears in Zenkaiger, the Avatar Changes are random in some way or they can pick which Ranger to become).

Inoue will includes his trademark elements in Donbrothers
Considered his previous works, I had a feeling Toshiki Inoue will includes his trademark elements.
  • A lot of soap opera drama

  • Love triangle or Love Dodecahedron
    • Considering that Tsuyoshi's wife and Tsubasa's love interest are played by the same actress this could end up happening.
    • Confirmed in #34. The premise is thanks to a misunderstanding, Tsubasa/Inu Brother mistakes Miho/Crane Juto for Natsumi, and this creates tension between Tsuyoshi and Tsubasa.

  • A lot of big misunderstanding
    • Most likely involving Tsubasa's arc about trying to prove his innocence.
    • Already happening as of Episode 1 with Haruka being framed as a plagiarist
      • And further with Haruka failing to understand who Taro is because she wasn't given a description of him

  • Any characters that get wet in the river

  • A Hate Sink character

The Big Bad will be modeled after Moonlight Mask.
Seeing as how the villains (at least the ones revealed thus far) are modeled after previous Toei Tokusatsu heroes, it would only make sense that the leader of them would be modeled after the one that started it all.

In a V-Cinema spinoff, the Avataro Sentai Donburis and Donfragrance teams will actually show up.
It'll be similar to the appearance of the Doubutsu Sentai Go-Busters.

There will be future/alternative Sentai who will somehow end up in Donbrothers
Much like the Future Riders from Zi-O, there'll be originally made Sentai who will arrive during an arc of Donbrothers.

Taro will tell a lie by the end
His bio makes a big deal of him being unable to lie. So why not subvert it by the end, probably by him lying that he'll come back after a battle or something tragic.
  • Or simply lying just as a small happy joke that others quickly discovered.
  • He tried in Episode 12 and almost died from it.

The Giant Mecha fights are tiny mecha fights instead for this series
Which will justify why the Alters are tiny mecha.
  • Battlefield will be on a small Phantom Zone-like field similar to LBX: Little Battlers eXperience.
  • Battlefield is protected by a Force Field; one cannot enter the field unless they are a tiny mecha/Alter.
  • However it is still necessary to defeat the Monster of the Week in tiny size potential because:
    • To restore/recover the human that became the Hitotsu-Ki.
    • Damage to the battlefield landscape will cause actual damage to those landmarks in real-life.
  • Everything confirmed except the tiny mecha fight part; Don Momotaro uses the Alter to fight human-sized opponents.

    Post-Premiere
The inferior Hitotsu-Kis aren't Killed Off for Real.
There are somewhere in cyberspace limbo like Jin (think a VR recycle bin) and can be restored like Zamigo Delma's victims in LuPat.
  • Confirmed! In fact, that doesn’t only apply to Hitotsuki, but to anyone personally defeated by the Nōto, as shown with Don Momotaro himself. Actually, they’re in some kind of a virtual prison, just like Jin is and how the original poster predicted; and not in some kind of recycle bin since they’re not actually deleted.

Tsubasa being framed for a crime was part of the world's masquerade setting up a Confidence Sabotage as a result of discovering them.
Much like how Haruka's life went downhill thanks to a copy of her work that claims plagiarism against her which came out of nowhere.

Everyone bound to become a Don Brother or Hitotsuki unknowingly misused their Kibi-Points
  • And the reason misfortune or greed clung to them is part of the equivalent exchange.
    • That might explain why Kaito just knows someone died or not for an Avataro Gear to be retrieved: when they die the Kibi-Points stays, but when they are released the Kibi-Points resets to zero.

The "peach" Momoi is supposedly born in is an escape pod.
His real parents are in conflict with Noto, so they send him away to safety before the enemy group gets to them.

The Sixth Donbrother Guesses
Assuming there is one, that is, and that it isn't Zenkaiser Black.
  • Theme guesses:
    • Urashima Taro
      • Will be a fisherman seeking to connect to a different world after having met a Hitotsuki woman who saved him.
      • Weapon of choice: Fishing Rod sword and Turtle Shell shield.
    • Kintaro
      • Would be a Hitotsuki-possessed human with immense strength who has been wrestling away the enemies with his bare hands.
      • Weapon of choice: Rusty Axe that becomes a pair of Gold Axe and Silver Axe.
    • Tamamo-no-Mae
      • Hitotsuki-possessed woman who has bonded with the Hitotsuki's lust for revenge after they were both wrongfully accused of a murder. Fears Inu Brother at first and doesn't join the Don Brothers untiltheir interests fully aligns.
      • Weapon of choice: A mirror of polished metal that is thrown like a Frisbee and allows her to copy others' appearance and objects.
    • Queen Himiko
      • A woman who has been imprisoned by the Noto for having seen their arrival and trying to stop them. Once she is released she joins the Donbrothers.
      • Weapon of choice: a ringed staff that shoots energy bullets.
    • Rumors claim he would be a single warrior carrying a Tiger vs. Dragon theme.
  • A Noto who defected after learning what they were doing to their own species and to humans.
  • A Hitotsuki who was not erased and learned to appreciate all kinds of emotions that they came to understand.
    • Additionally, it would be a target that the Noto have been hunting for a long time.
  • An Anoni who will bond with Momoi Taro and will swear to follow him out of either respect or debt for being saved.
  • The guard (or a successor) of the seal containing the Jūto, which broke due to their negligence (possibly as part of being The Slacker). He would then come into conflict with the Donbrothers, claiming that his business is to only contain the Jūto outbreak and could care less about the Nōto nor the Hitotsu-Ki.
  • Someone named Donald. He'll be a Black Ranger, so they can make a "Don Burakku/Burako" joke.
  • A rival to Taro who engages him in Ham-to-Ham Combat

There will be an inferior/color-based Hitotsu-Ki that manages to evolve further into the advanced version (that we viewers know as being based on previous Sentai series), right before it can be killed, either by the Donbrothers or by one of the Noto.
Evolving to avoid being killed is a situation that sometimes happen with an enemy in tokusatsu series, and usually will cause the bad guy general/leader involved (if there's any) to be interested and decided to let it alive to see its performance. Plus, with this series intended since the start to have separate stages for the enemy monster, one of them undergoing evolution from lesser stage to advanced stage is bound to happen, it's such an obvious idea for a future event in a series like this.

Taro is a Nōto.
His ability to bring good fortune is a variation of the Hitotsu-Ki creation ability, bringing out the best in others instead of the worst so they can achieve their goals.
  • Sort of confirmed: He's a member (and one of the survivors) of the Don Clan that was executed.

    • A greater politician.
    • Jossed. He's an idol fan.

    • A dirty cop
    • A cop or security guard who takes their job too seriously
    • Confirmed. A cop obsessed with catching criminals to gain enough credit for an award.
  • Kiramager
    • A suppressed student who wants to be an artist.
    • Jossed. Mashin-Ki was an artist, just not a student.
  • Zenkaiger
    • A Kikainoid who's not happy with the recent changes from the finale.
    • Yet another version of Kaito.
  • Akibaranger
    • A normal human, just dressed as a monster, who distracts the Donbrothers and Noto from the actual monster.
    • Alternately, one of Taro's coworkers at the delivery place, since Nobuo Akagi also worked a delivery job.
  • Kakuranger/Hurricanger/Ninninger
    • A person who becomes a Hitosuki multiple times getting stronger each time.
      • Jossed, Ninninger was a man trying to be a ninja. He does return as Mahou-ki, so semi-confirmed?
      • Ninpuu-ki is the director of the film adaptation of New First Love Hero, played by Kuwaga Raiger's actor no less.
      • Ninja-ki was a man looking for purpose in his life while hiding from his mother.

Haruka was supposed to be part of the Sono group and is a Noto but interference from Zenkaiser Black made her a Donbrother
The Oni's are depicted as Momotaro's enemy unlike the rest of the group, and Haruka initially had some negative character traits compared to the more honest other members. She also initially confused the Sono guys as her allies because they fit her view of a "hero" while Taro did not. And she had near perfect luck and everything going her way until her initial encounter with Taro at which point her fortunes reversed, while the other Brothers had the opposite. And considering she has no parents but lives with her aunt, it could be she's a Noto unknowningly that was raised as a human and was originally supposed to be like the Sono trio. Note that there's 5 Donbrothers and 3 Sono's but if Haruka was originally on the other team it would have been an even 4 on 4. However Zenkaiser Black, seeking to interfere in the game for whatever his purposes are saw that she received the glasses instead.
  • If she became one of the Sono group, she would likely be called "Sonoyo"
    • While this seems unlikely at this point, Oni Sister DOES gets a slight makeover in episode 22, to resemble Bishojo Kamen Poltrine just like how the other 3 Noto's warriors forms are based on older defunct Toei heroes.
  • That being said, Sonoshi, the fourth Nōto general, appears in #37 and is a different person entirely.

Haruka's misfortune will get progressively worse, before it takes a major turn for best
  • And she will then be freaked out because things are going too well.
    • The good fortune will last for a few days, before things returns to normal.
      • This sort of happens in Episode 10, but it was due to Haruka's choice to use her points to get her old life back, and she returns to her usual life of misfortune due to her own choice by the end.

Haruka will overcome her plagiarism issue by writing a manga about her experiences as a Donbrother.
Not exactly the first time a Toei tokusatsu did this, but it's pretty apt.
  • Confirmed, but backwards: her future self actually caused the plagiarism issue by writing about her experiences as a Donbrother in the future.

Once the Donbrothers gain access to the Gokaiger Avataro Gear, they will start using it to get around the Avataro Gears' color restriction by becoming the Gokaigers and then using Ranger Keys.
Inu Brother, of course, would be out of luck with this strategy, unless it's possible for one of the others to pass him a Mobirates and key to use.

Miho Kijino, Tsuyoshi's wife, and Natsume, Tsubasa's girlfriend are either twins or the same person
  • Well, episode 6 showed Miho meeting up with "Nacchan" (short for Natsume?) at the end, so it's likely they're not the same person.
    • jossed, miho's a Juuto copying Natsumi.

On how the Crane Juuto is somehow Miho and Natsumi at the same time
It started with the original Juuto copying a real Miho long ago, after which something happened and she had to grab a new human persona, leading to the original kidnapping of Natsumi. Since this never happened before, the Miho personality ends up bleeding through, meaning that even if the real Miho is rescued, she never got to know Kijino, looks completely different anyway, and Kijino still ends up alone.

The other four Rangers will get their own mechs, weapons, and possibly bikes
Taro is way more skilled than the rest of the Rangers and is the only one with a personal weapon, a bike, and mech. I believe that when the other Rangers are able to catch up to him they will each gain their own equipment and mechs so that they can fight alongside him as equals.I am guessing that each of them (except possibly for Inu Brother) will gain a mech formed partially out of one the mechs from Zenkaiger.
  • All five Rangers get their own mecha, and both Oni Sister and Inu Brother get personal weapons of their own.

Taro himself is a Noto.
Let's see... near-inhuman levels of natural talent, check. Insistence that his way is just, check. Inability to understand people emotionally, check. Being found by his foster father in a pod that exited a strange portal, check.
  • This is partially confirmed as of episode 13 that he's the Heir to the Don clan, a family from the Noto realm. However given they were treated poorly because of their desire to live alongside humans it's possible Taro is only half Noto from a Noto and Human relationship. This would seem to track with Taro having normal eyes and a normal emotional range unlike the Sono trio, but also being unable to lie (which Sonoi finds odd despite being a Noto himself and does not have such an issue) and having his powers fail him every few years till he recharges them which might be a result of a hybrid nature.

Tsuyoshi will pull a Face–Heel Turn.
He only cares about his wife and even made sure that Sonoi kills Mashin-Ki due to believing the latter to be Beyond Redemption for kidnapping his wife. Eventually Love Makes You Evil kicks in, which causes him to become to either join the Noto Layer or become a Hitotsuki due to his distorted love.

  • Miho could also possibly replace Tsuyoshi as Kiji Brother (or in this case, Kiji Sister) as a result, to add to the twist.
  • If Tsuyoshi does become a Hitotsuki, he will be Choujinki, because he is bird themed and his negative desire is based around love, which was a main theme in Jetman.
    • Jossed. In fact, Tsuyoshi ends up becoming Gekisouki!!!

There will be a special Zenkaiger Avataro Gear where Zenkai Juran is presented instead of Zenkaiger.
Don Momotaro can use it to become Zenkai Juran.

The true connection between Tsuyoshi's wife and Tsubasa's girlfriend is...
That Natsume is Miho's frequent customer. They look similar because Natsume like Miho's hairstyle and uses similar beauty products.
  • The basis of this guess is that while Episode 8 seems to set up that Natsume could be Miho, Tsubasa mistook a stranger as Natsume early on.
    • Jossed. Miho is a Juto, and the Juto copy the appearance of humans. So Miho is physically a copy of Natsume, but not actually the same person.

Tarou's weakness from episode 9 will come back again in the team-up with 2023's Sentai team.
  • Jin says it happens "once every few years", which means it's not likely to happen again during the run of the show, but given that the Vs. movies tend to happen around the end of their respective series, that could be enough time for the weakness to recur. If not then, it could also happen in a Returns special or even in Donbrothers 10 Years After if there is one.

When Taro finds a profession or hobby that actually makes him happy, it will be the one thing he isn't instantly skilled at, and will have to learn how hard improving himself really is.

Taro will be defeated in a standup comedy challenge.
  • Because he can't lie and is usually too stern.

The reason Jin is so vague when giving advice to the Donbrothers is because he's being held captive by the Noto or some of their associates.
  • It's also why Kaito isn't open about saying he's an ally to the Donbrothers, and why transforming into Zenkaizer Black in #9 was a last resort.

The artist whose manga Haruka supposedly plagerized will appear.
  • Confirmed, but their identity was kept hidden as they wore a rabbit costume!
    • Now fully confirmed: it's a future version of Haruka herself!

The reason the Noto are killing the Hitotsuki is because if left unchecked or even spared, they become Juto
It seems rather coincidental that one of the Hitotsuki that was spared by the Don-Brothers ended up being a Juto. Perhaps this is what happens if they were left alive? Could be a dark twist for Don-Brothers and a case of Nice Job Breaking It, Hero.

Kaito IS the Kaito of Zenkaiger and remembers this
  • When he receives the Gokaiger gear he has an odd reaction of a wistful smirk as if he's remembering something that hasn't happened before. Who could he be thinking of? Zocks and Flint, his two friends who based their entire gimmick off of Gokaiger.
    • He also flipped down a sign reading "Colorful Sundae" in the prior episode.

Tsuyoshi will find out Miho is the Crane Juto
  • If she is based on The Crane's Bride, Tsuyoshi will one day see Miho either in Bestial form or folding many cranes, and after that she will flee, which can lead to the following possibilities:
    • Her revealing that she was originally Natsume and ran away because Tsubasa saw her true self;
    • Tsuyoshi reassures her that she is the Miho he loves, and that nothing between them will change;
    • Miho will be erased in front of his eyes. And while he is down in the dumps:
      • Sonoi or Sononi will question themselves whether things could have been different;
      • Haruka will ask Kaito if anything can be done with the Kibi-Points to bring Miho back, with Tsubasa overhearing them and using his Kibi-Points to wish Miho back to Tsuyoshi.
    • The reveal that the Juto are not the malicious monsters the Noto thought to be.

If the theory that Juto were once Hitotsuki is true, the Crane Juto was once Choujinki
  • Failing that, Ninjaki due to the crane-motifed Ranger being the leader.

Taro didn't actually die
  • Taro himself might be just temporarily contained to come back later on.
    • Confirmed.

There'll be a Super Mode that will kill the Juto for real
  • Half-confirmed: while Goldon Momotaro is heavily implied to be more than capable of killing Juto, Taro decides to use it just to intimidate them into not attacking humans again.

At some point someone, possibly a villain will release all the trapped Hitotsuki at once
It was shown that unless defeated by the Donbrothers they retain the ability to transform so it could be a villain's plan to unleash them all at once overwhelming the Donbrothers.
  • Half-confirmed: Sonoi did release all trapped Hitotsu-Ki, but as a gesture of good faith so the Donbrothers accept his group as allies.

The series actually takes place in a virtual world.
Much like SSSS.GRIDMAN, the story we the viewers are watching is actually set in an entirely artificial environment. The Donbrothers' sunglasses actually let them access the world's source code; when they call out Avatar Change, that's literally what's happening; it's why they can earn Points and trade them for rewards! It's likely the Hitotsuki are just glitches in the program, and the Noto are meant to be a security program to keep them in check.

Donbrothers!Kaito is copied from Zenkaiger!Kaito by the creator.
  • Perhaps Black Kaito is actually "God" just disguising himself as a copy of Kaito.

This series is part of Zenkaiger's universe.
More specifically, it takes place in Meta World, one of the many world unused by Tojitendo.

Avataro-Ki will be The Psycho Rangers.
Namely, five monsterish versions of the Donbrothers.

Tsuyoshi isn't normally this protective and violent, the Juto controlling Miho is making him that way.

Sonoza will bond with Haruka.
He has shown interest in "First Love Hero", the version she supposedly plagiarized, and might find a way to link back to her and ask her to teach him about laughing and crying.
  • At first Haruka's reaction will likely be to internally question herself "Why do I always attract the weird ones?!", but she will go through and try to help him anyways.
    • Not confirmed just yet, but in the preview from episode 21 he's kidnapped her to question her on it and is going to have significant time with her one on one.
    • Confirmed, they have something of a editor/mangaka relationship even after the kidnapping AND figuring out each other's identities.

The reason Taro is constantly attacking the Donbrothers is because none of them are the original users.
It will be revealed that Taro remembers the changes in time because he isn't a part of the Kibi Point system, and only begrudgingly accepts anyone else as Donbrothers because the originals were his True Companions. Jiro can do the same, but will only remember the current team.
  • Seemingly not just Jossed, but the exact opposite happened. In #21 we learn that the current team are the latest in a long line of Donbrothers, but their choice to stick with Taro and fight Hitotsu-Ki actually earns them praise from him.
  • It was revealed that he was hardening them up for fighting.

Naoki Shiina will turn out to be an alter Haruka
  • And an exact copy of her at that from the Noto Layer.

The Noto generals, Don Murasame and the Donrothers will work together against the bigger bad in the end
  • Surely there must be a bigger threat that started all this and they can put their heads together to defeat.

Naoki Shiina will turn out to be Kaito
  • Kaito's trying to help mold Haruka into a better person via causing her to lose her obsession with being famous through that one award, but the situation with Marina had her learning the wrong lesson and thinking she needed to give it up entirely. Through competition he's trying to inspire her to return to her Manga dreams, but for less selfish reasons than fame.

Naoki Shiina was affected by Haruka's misforune.
Shiina is highly talented in his/her own right, but Haruka's curse somehow changed his/her identity to that ofHaruka's. This is how he/she also copied Haruka's cooking and not just her art.
  • Jossed: Shiina is simply Future!Haruka.

Naoki Shiina is actually Haruka's ex-boyfriend, who framed her for plagiarism as a way to assert control over her in their relationship.
  • Jossed. Naoki Shiina is future Haruka.

The mechanics of the Nōto Layer was what made Shinchi's imagination real.

Kaito is possessed by the Penguin Juto
Would explain his different personality and the fact that he's wearing a tuxedo.
  • While it has been revealed that Jiro is the Penguin Juto, Kaito is still not off the hook.
    • Jossed for Jiro: Terasaki (his father figure) is the Juto who was raising him to become his successor as the Guardian of the Forest of Slumber as his template is dying of old age.

Shinichi will be the one to start solving the mysteries of why the Donbrothers setting is the way it is
He doesn't currently have his own story arc going on, and with him being such a metaphysically-oriented guy it would make sense for him to become curious about the nature of the Nouto Layer, the Donbrothers powers, and everything that came with them.
  • He does ask Sonoi about the nature of the Donbrothers' powers in #33.

Don Murasame is part of the Don clan
  • And possibly was created by the matriarch of the Don clan as a form of penance for her clan having created the Juto.

Sonoi will come back
  • And this time he can just let go of his need to rival Taro, as he lost their duel.

There's another category of Juuto
  • The T-Rex Juuto. Specifically, it's the Juran that makes up half of Don Zenkai-Oh. If Kaito really is the Penguin copying the original Kaito, then it would make sense for Juran to be a Juuto copy as well.
    • Jossed, the Jūto endgame came and went without any additional categories.

The Penguin Juto is among the first one ever made
  • In addition to that, the Penguin Juto will be the hardest to track because they won't show any signs of who they are.
    • And they may have come over their desire to eat Anoni.

The Juuto are tied to the Hitotsuki somehow
  • Perhaps as a sort of reason why Hitotsuki are such a common occurance nowadays?
  • Jossed. They're completely unrelated phenomena.

Jiro will gain an upgrade that unites his two halves into a stronger whole
  • Semi-confirmed; Jiro's two personalities do merge together, but whether it results in a powerup remains to be seen.

Kaito is a Time Lord and Cafe Donbura is his TARDIS

Tsuyoshi will end up being the final boss
  • Seriously, this guy has been the MOTW twice already AND got another ranger arrested. Not to mention helping to murder a man. Dude's not well.
  • Another possibility is he will actually become a Dark Ranger and be replaced (temporarily?) by someone else, possibly Miho/Natsumi.
  • Likely Jossed, given that the closest thing we have to a Final Boss this time around are the Nōto Overseers and Minoru Ohno as Ohsama-Ki.

Jiro is in part Juto
  • Since he has been aching badly ever since he got attacked by Don Murasame, to the point he is unable to leave his bed.
    • That would also explain his split personality: every Juto so far has a "disguise" and their actual (usually feral) personality.
    • Given that the Don Clan created the Jūto in the first place, Jiro was perhaps the "test run".
    • Turns out he's not a Juto yet, but rather was being raised to succeed the Penguin in being the Guardian of the Forest of Slumber. Still doesn't let him completely off the possibility of being part Juto.

Miho is just pretending to be Natsumi
  • She's probably suspicious that Tsuyoshi knows the truth and is trying to shake off the suspicion by acting as if she was actually hypnotized instead.
    • Confirmed in #35: Miho was merely pretending. Tsubasa finds the real Natsumi inside the Juto world.

Tsubasa inadvertently found a way to rever a Jūto's possession
He used a Trigger Phrase to turn Miho back into Natsumi, which means that it's theoretically possible to turn people like Sayama back to normal humans.
  • If this is true, it might affect the Kaito is the Penguin Juto theory. To both be true, it either must need more than just the Trigger Phrase (Like who says it is important) or Kaito's Trigger Phrase is not "Zenryoku Zenkai" somehow
    • Unfortunately, that is not the case. She was just playing them both.

Alternatively, there never really was Miho or Natsumi, merely a Crane Jūto playing both
She's playing both Tsubasa and Tsuyoshi like a fiddle.
  • Miho IS the Crane Juto. But she did play Tsuyoshi and Tsubasa like a fiddle when it came to pretending that she was merely under amnesia.

Tsuyoshi's Feelings for Miho are not 'real'. Those were created by the Crane Juto to facilitate the story its creating
  • Since the Crate Juuto are known to create stories, it can be that Tsuyoshi's feelings are not real, but created by the Juto to make the story its creating reality. That would explain the unhinged obsession: Since the Juto were created by the Don Clan, who were Noto and the Noto are known to not understand feelings (yet), the Juto confused Obsession with Love, which are not the same.

Donbrothers!Kaito is Zenkaiger!Kaito in the process of been possessed by the Goranger's Gear. His final goal is ensure the Donbrothers are strong enough to defeat him
  • This Kaito has been described by Haruka as "A Man of Mystery" and the Gorangers are literally the "Secret Sentai". It can be that in the middle of their travels between worlds, the Zenkaigers got in trouble with the Noto and they induced the transformation to Hitotsu-ki in Kaito and the Kikanoids. Somehow they were able to run away without been destroyed by the Noto and now they are stuck in the middle of their transformation. Kaito is acting the way he does because a mix of the Gorangers gear influence and trying to not upset it by been too open about his intentions, while the Kikanoids got possessed by the Zenkaiger Gear (Several people been possessed by 1 Gear was confirmed possible already) and became Kaito's Mecha but without personality (Like, a straight mecha without AI or personality that needs to be piloted). So, this Kaito will become either the sub boss before the final battle (As their last test to see if the Donbrothers have finally become an actual team) or the 11th hour Final Boss, revealed after what should have been the Final Boss. In both cases, the fight would be against Himitsu-ki and Kikai-ki, represented by a less colorful variation of Zenryoku Zenkai Oh piloted by Zenkaiser Black.
    • Seemingly Jossed, given that Himitsu-Ki was just a regular Hitotsu-Ki and Kaito seems to have no role in the endgame beyond being the Donbrothers' support.

Tsuyoshi is so emotionally unstable due to a third Hitotsu-Ki or Juto Possession/Control
  • Taro already jinxed it, claiminig what happened twice can happen a third time. So this time it might be that the Hitotsu-Ki to possess Tsuyoshi will be associated with extreme emotions being extreme overall. Slaying the Hitotsu-Ki will make him much more reasonable than he was before.
    • If the possibility is Juto Possession/Control, Tsuyoshi is still Tsuyoshi, just being manipulated by the Crane Juto in order to make him work poorly with the team in order to make it harder to fight off the Juto.
    • Well, what'd you guess? Come #45 and he DOES have a third Hitotsu-Ki!

Naoki Shiina is a Juto and Haruka is their victim
  • But in a rather unusual twist, she was never taken to the Juto world because Naoki Shiina needed her in the human world.
    • Jossed, Naoki Shiina is just Haruka's future self. She did find a way into the Forest of Slumbers though, to rescue Tsubasa.

The season ends with Taro taking over from Kaito
...becoming a more hands-on Trickster Mentor for the next Super Sentai.

Tsuyoshi will be replaced as KijiBrother by the end of the series.
Due to his mounting instablilty, it's seeming more and more likely Tsuyoshi is going to cross the line at some point and get the boot. For extra irony considering how much Tsuyoshi's selfishness has hurt Tsubasa, his replacement could be Natsumi. Yes she'd still be "KijiBrother"
  • Jossed. Tsuyoshi stays KijiBrother throughout the series.

The other Donbrothers will somehow use the Nouto Layer to enter Tsuyoshi's mind and cure his insanity
I say this mainly because I've been playing Persona 5 and think he'd be a pretty good candidate for a change of heart.
  • Jossed. Tsuyoshi overcomes his issues on his own.

Miho will manipulate Tsuyoshi against all others Donbrothers and the Noto Layer
It will be by feigning ignorance when Tsubasa and the other attempts to expose her, and relying on Tsuyoshi's obsession for her.
  • And it might backfire as soon as the real Natsumi also appears, resulting in a massive Oh, Crap! from the Crane Juto.

The Crane Juto is the one who saved Tsubasa from the Juto dimension.
Just because it's Natsumi's dream to see him safe.
  • Jossed in #43, it's Naoki Shiina that saved him.

Kaito will be the "final boss"
So to say, he will give the Donbrothers a graduation challenge after all Hitotsu-Kis and Juto have been destroyed and both the Noto Realm and Earth are saved.

There is an infinite chain of Killer Robots each meant to act as a failsafe for the previous one.
Don Killer was the failsafe for the Donbrothers, Don Killer Killer was the failsafe for Don Killer, so why wouldn't there be a Don Killer Killer Killer and so on as additional failsafes?

The Penguin Juto's ability/trait is to project one's duality
So to say, that has to do with Penguin being "black and white", but in this representing one's Yin-Yang. Possibly their ability once they control a host is to create two distinct personalities from their template: one who represents their good aspects, and one that represents their dark (or in Jiro's case, wild) aspects. In any case, dark is not necessarily evil.
  • Jossed given the Penguin is confirmed to be Jiro's father figure, Terasaki, who is not only a friendly host but also turned himself into a Juto willingly and guards the Forest of Slumber.

Killing the Juto doesn't kill the template
  • The Crane Juto must have said that killing them kills the host/template to protect herself and other Jutos, but the truth might be that killing the Juto awakens them template from the slumber. However if they are still in the Forest of Slumber they will be unable to escape by themselves and soon be caught and used by another Juto.
    • Jossed(?): Sononi confesses she lied to Tsubasa, and "Miho" insists to Taro that she doesn't tell lies.

Haruka will resume her manga career under the identity of Naoki Shiina.
Since her alternate self isn't around to clear up the plagiarism charges, the best option Haruka has left is to put on the costume and start using it to submit her manga as Naoki.

Tsubasa is teaching Sononi about the pain that love can cause
By rejecting her and not wanting to see, Tsubasa wants Sononi to experience heartbreak and want to reach for him with her own words of love.
  • Two things hints to this: him wishing her being brought back to life, and his face briefly twisting into sligh smile when he saw her waking up, before he forced a grumpy expression. Plus, he's an actor and he didn't let her see his face (even the camera conceals his expression well).
  • However, as Tsubasa is originally looking for his girlfriend, he could just want to avoid another romance that would complicate their relationship.

Tsuyoshi will become a new wanted criminal in Tsubasa's place
Since the police are investigating about the Juto, Tsubasa being their informant about them, and due to how violent Tsuyoshi is when it comes to Miho, it might be possible that the police might arrest him (again) for involving with a Juto and defending the enemy. And perhaps also, for almost killing Tsubasa.
  • Jossed. Tsubasa is still the one on the run.

Tsuyoshi will use his Kibi points to separate Miho from Natsumi.
A happier ending would be when Tsuyoshi understand the full situation and use his wish to both him and Tsubasa have their loved ones. In fact, he will discuss his wish to make sure it won't go wrong.
  • A problem with that is that presumably it would cost at least 80 points for that, and he currently sits at 52. As for why 80? Well, Haruka's reality-altering wish cost 81 points, Shinichi and Haruka's TEMPORARY "revival" of Taro cost a total of 200 points shared between the two, Tsubasa's wish to see Sononi revived cost him 117 points.
    • Jossed. "Miho" dies, but Natsumi ends up falling for Tsuyoshi when Tsubasa's new loner persona causes them to fall out.

Kakamura's people are real, just not IN Kakamura
  • That's to say Terasaki copied them from another village so Jiro could have friends.

Jirou will have a Split-Personality Merge
  • His hair style in the previews is a different one entirely from the other two. Perhaps they come together?
    • Confirmed. Dangerous Jiro merges with regular Jiro after reassuring the latter that they'll always be together.

Inusuka Tsubasa WILL die.
  • One of the leaked preview images mentions that Tsubasa is sitting at the same pose as Gai, perhaps Inoue's at it again considering it's not the first time someone dies at the final episode?
    • But what pose you mean? Any reference?
      • this comparison at Toei's official site, it got taken down cuz it came earlier, before the 9 Donbros episode to be specific but the implications are grim if they are comparing him with Gai of all people.
      • Jossed!

DonZenkaiOh will make a return in Donbrothers vs. Zenkaiger.

Donbrothers vs. Zenkaiger will show a proper power for the Flashman Gear after being used only as ammo for the Geartlinger Bazooka.

    Power Rangers Adaptation Guesses

Title guesses
  • Cyber Samurai
  • Data Defenders
  • Avatar Heroes

The Zenkaiger aspects will be cut to make the seasons more stand alone

This season won't be adapted.
  • Hasbro has plans to stop using Sentai footage completely, so there'll probably only be one more adaptation after Power Rangers Dino Fury, and it won't be the show that's still running when they're filming!
    • Pretty sure the Toei split is still a rumor right now.
  • Time to acknowledge the elephant in the room; While a show being themed around/highly referential to the legend of Momotarō works just fine in Japan, it wouldn't for a show aimed primarily at American children, who are unlikely to even know the story. Being an introduction to the story would be a lot to ask of a Power Rangers show, while excising the elements of it would be hard and lead to awkwardness from the get go. Throw in that there are several other recent Sentai seasons to adapt, Hasbro could probably afford to skip a season.
    • Considering that Cosmic Fury (Dino Fury's sequel) is a Third-Option Adaptation wherein Kyuranger robot footage is used alongside original ground fights...

The Momotaros characters will be rebranded as generic, stock heroes.
For example, saru could become Kong, oni could be an Amazon, inu could be a Heroic Dog etc.

This season gets blended with Zenkaiger for another Super/Megaforce thing
Both seasons have the borrowing of past Ranger powers so they could use that. Zenkaiser could be reimagined as an as-yet-unseen precursor Ranger treated as a Canon Immigrant; the rest of the Zenkaigers maintain their connection to the past Super Sentai they're based on; and the Donbrothers will be reassigned to other past seasons. DonMomotaro = Power Rangers Ninja Storm, OniSister - Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue (due to an accident she's based off the monsters of that season), SaruBrother = Power Rangers Lost Galaxy (both have a blue ape Ranger), InuBrother = Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers (since they had a black Ranger and used the Wolf zords from Kakuranger), KijiBrother = Power Rangers Ninja Steel (based on the Firebird component of the Blaze Megazord).
