• It is already two episodes in and Jin is being a Cryptic Mentor with Poor Communication Kills for what reason? Why can't he just tell Haruka what she needs to know? Or better yet, why not tell his son about Haruka's search for her. If Haruka dies, this is all on him.
  • I could make a snarky comment by saying that it's Toshiki Inoue's Signature Style, but we're literally two episodes into the show. Be patient. At the risk of being overly optimistic, wait for things to potentially play out to see if an explanation is given.
  • He could very well just be playing Trickster Mentor . He arranges for Haruka to figure out Taro on her own to get over her initial notions that heroes had to be mysterious tall dark and handsome guys (ie, the bad guys here) so she understands how the world works better.
  • Given his current position, he is not in a home advantage; telling the full story would most likely out his son to his enemies in the process.
  • The above was correct until Sonoi found out on his own, of course. But it is very possible he has very limited knowledge of the outside world and very restricted privileges.
• Just why is everyone okay with the fact that Tsuyoshi let a Hitotsu-ki die? Why doesn't Taro call him out on it, given how stern he is with the team usually?
  • Taro has been shown to not know how to react when a Hitotsu-Ki is slain before him, and by then the others weren't exactly aware of each other's identity. Plus they have a good synergy going, so why let that drag them down?
  • They might not even know it was intentional and not Tsuyoshi just being a clumsy idiot. He never said anything and it was only in his own inner thoughts that we see he deliberately wanted that guy to die.
  • Back then they didn't know who Kiji Brother was (and Haruka, as she justified in a later episode, didn't remember him because he looks too average), so they didn't know his reasons and were unable to demand answers from him after the fight. In addition, he is one of the most helpful of the Donbros, so his past and future deeds added up to his favor.
