Main series

    In General
  • The Donbrothers will often use their powers to help out civilians with things such as retrieving lost toys or avoiding traffic accidents.
  • Despite the other Donbrothers not knowing that Tsubasa is Inu Brother, they still see his civilian identity a part of their group nonetheless.

Don-Episode 2: Big Peach, Small Peach
  • Despite Tsuyoshi's terrible luck, he's happily married to his caring wife Miho.
  • After Sanae stopped worrying about trying to look younger, she asks Taro how old she looks, and he once again tells her she looks 68, but this time adding that she now looks happy.

    Don-Episode 4: Onigiri Oni
  • Taro revealing the secret behind his perfect onigiri is the feelings he puts behind preparing it, showing that as a child he used to make them for his adoptive father, Jin.

    Don-Episode 5: Holed Up Dog
  • The team holds an impromptu birthday party for Tsubasa, after hearing out his story and learning that it was his birthday. Tsuyoshi offers up the cake he had planned to give to Taro as an appreciation gift as a birthday cake, while Taro sings Happy Birthday to Tsubasa while the others join in. They then give Tsubasa the strawberries from their respective cake slices, and the gesture is enough to make the normally standoffish fugitive nearly tear up. Making it especially heartwarming is when you consider the fact that unlike the teams before them, the Donbrothers have no idea that everyone present is actually a comrade they fight alongside with.
  • Haruka notes at the end of the episode that she understands Taro a bit better after hearing why he's so motivated to make others happy. And this time, she smiles while thinking about him.

    Don-Episode 6: Pheasant's Short-Lived Glory
  • Tsuyoshi duels Taro to try and fix Miho's condition and to prove that he's strong. When Taro comments that he said that he was disappointed before, Tsuyoshi states that Taro rejecting his offer to join his company only proves his strength.
  • Taro comments that him and Tsuyoshi may be more similar than he thinks, as they don't have any specialities, despite being on opposite ends of the spectrum.
  • At the end of the episode, Miho is glad that Tsuyoshi has gone back to his old self, remarking that she liked him a lot better when "he was failing just a bit".
  • Taro concedes to Tsuyoshi at the end, as he was able to make Miho smile out of sheer bliss - a talent that he admits that he lacks.

    Don-Episode 8: Long Haired Captive
  • Tsuyoshi and Tsubasa chatting about their loved ones is cute. Tsubasa positively melts when talking about Natsumi.
  • Sonoi helps Taro chase off some thugs that tried to break into the delivery van and they actually hit it off real well. It probably wouldn't work if they knew who the other one is.
  • Sonoi tells Taro that human lives are precious and must be protected, although conditionally. Taro agrees with him on all but the last part.

Don-Episode 9: Broken Taro And The Robotaro
  • It's not so obvious due to their stoic demeanor, but Sononi and Sonoza are genuinely concerned about Sonoi when he is stuck in some sort of trance, because they don't know what's going on and can't wake him up. They are still there to catch him when he comes back to his senses exhausted and horrified.
  • After Tokumei-ki's defeat, the host turns into a spirit and thanks the Donbrothers for playing with him, before flying back to where he belongs: the old man named Taichi. Basically they fulfilled a long time dream of an old man who didn't have friends in his childhood days. Afterwards the nurses caring about him comments on how he suddenly looks happy and that he must be having a sweet dream.
  • Whereas Shinichi at first schemes to use the opportunity to show up Taro, Tsuyoshi is only mildly taken aback, and Tsubasa barely reacts to Taro's sudden sickness; Haruka is very deeply concerned by it to the point of just calling him by his first name instead of the usual exasperated full name she usually gives him.

Don-Episode 10: The Rainbow the Oni Saw
  • After seeing Marina experience the PTSD in the middle of the fight against Kaizoku-Ki, Haruka rushes to Cafe Donbro and demands Kaito undo her wish, becoming once again the Onisister, freeing Marina from all plagiarism accusations, and seeing Marina's photo get an award.
  • The episode closes as a group of classmates pass by Haruka and call her a plagiarist, she ignores them in favor of the rainbow that is overhead.

Don-Episode 12: The Moon is a Loony Liar
  • Tarou and Sonoi share a moment under the moonlight discussing about lies. They are enemies, but while oblivious to each other's true identity, as civilians they treat each other as friends.
  • After messing up his co-worker Kiriyama's plans to see his mother due to his inability to lie, Taro decides to make amends by using his Don Momotaro form to take Kiriyama to the bus station where his mother waits, and even gives his co-worker a bunch of melon biscuits for his mother to enjoy.
  • Kirara Kira took being called out by the Donbrothers for lying about being an idol to heart, and instead actually became an idol for real instead, true to her grandfather's wishes.

    Don-Episode 13: Goodbye Taro
  • Sonoi and Taro's bonding moment, with the later promising to treat him to Oden. Sadly, circumstances exposed their true identities and they had to painfully call it off.

    Don-Episode 14: Substitute Jiro
  • In contrast to Taro's Friendless Background, Jiro does have friends in the village he grew up in with his first scene being saying goodbye to his boss and friends. With the trio that see him off the bus admitting that while they find his supposed delusions of being a hero annoying, they will still miss him.
  • Sonoi resents having exploited Taro's weakness, so he decides to protect Oni Sister from Sononi's attack as repentance.
  • Haruka, Tsuyoshi and Shinichi refuses to accept Taro is dead, and more importantly they reject the idea of having someone replace him. It goes as far as Haruka and Shinichi asking Kaito if they can use the Kibi-Points to bring him back, and given the implication in the preview of the next episode this puts them in negative Kibi-Points balance.
  • The sheer joy of the Donbrothers at the temporary revival of Taro. Except for Inu Brother, who was annoyed because he was in the middle of something.

    Don-Episode 15: Welcome Back Taro
  • Sonoi internally admits that when he saw Taro come back, even if for a moment, he felt a bit of joy. Later on, he helps the team figure a way to bring Taro back from the dimension where he was contained, and once Taro is back he silently promises to defeat him honorably next time.
  • Despite them failing to bring Taro back, Haruka and Shinichi have faith that he will be able to come back somehow, no matter how long it takes.
  • Just Jiro, Shinichi, Haruka and Tsuyoshi's reaction to seeing Taro alive again:
Jiro: (smiling) You remember me?! It's an honor!
    Tsuyoshi: (crying) I'm so sorry!
Shinichi: And now, a haiku: An ally thought lost / Once again stands before me / A gift like flowers
  • The entire exchange between Haruka and Taro, with him saying the Exact Words Haruka earlier thought he would tell her in this situation, him encouraging her to have faith in him and walk to him, and her running and tripping over him in an accidental glomp, while they both feel happy for him being back, deserves special mention.
    • In episode 6, Taro thought to himself that he'd never be able to make a woman smile in joy like Tsuyoshi did for his wife. However, he manages to get just such a reaction from Haruka, proving himself wrong and showing he has the capability for spreading more happiness and understanding others than he thought he did.
      Taro: My companions!
      Haruka: Say it again.
      Taro: My companions!
      Haruka: Say it again.
      Taro: My companions!

    Don-Episode 16: Darkness Switch
  • When Tsuyoshi questions Miho if she ever thought about breaking up with him, she just reassures him that he has nothing to be worried of and chants "You can do it!" many times to help improve his confidence. It works, making him fight more fiercely since she believes in him so much.
  • Taro is finally able to give an honest praise to his companions without dying for a second. While he actively tries to downplay it, it's clear as day that he genuinely appreciates the team now.
  • Taro is the only one who went to Jiro’s self-thrown welcome party, and still considers him his companion, despite not particularly liking the guy. Unfortunately calling him a "companion" is a bad idea.
  • In yet another display of Haruka's changing mindset towards the group and Taro, her rage directed at Jiro is not because he attacked and humiliated her (which has happened several times at this point from various characters), but because he was using the powers of the Donbrothers to attack Taro unfairly.

    Don-Episode 17: Light and Wings
  • Tsubasa goes out of his way to help a heartbroken Tanabe regain Kanako's love by using his prior theatre experience to make it seem like Tanabe is a hero. It doesn't go as expected at first, but once the Hitotsu-King is destroyed; the two are back together and so enamored with each other that they don't even notice him when they pass by. Tsubasa is more than happy with this outcome.
  • When Tanabe tries to move on from Kanako by going on a date with Sonoza. It really gives the impression that he is going to be rejected and turn into a Hitotsu-Ki, only for him to call off the date since he realizes that Kanako is truly the only one he loves.

    Don-Episode 18: A Jawsome Strike
  • Sonoi once again bonding with Taro, this time by challenging him to see who can help people the most because Taro still has work to do.
  • The team realizes as they're trying to strike Taro that using Gii-chan (his beloved childhood pet beetle) as a way to throw him off-guard was an underhanded move on their part, and they quickly stop.

    Don-Episode 19: Hello Ghost
  • Haruka and the others do their best to make it possible for Minako to pass on, as she has been waiting for Shinzo to call her for fifty years. Even if the dates didn't work to Haruka's favor, Minako still admits that she still had fun on them.
    • The fact that Haruka, despite being initially annoyed and creeped out by Minako haunting her, ends up empathizing with her so strongly and rallying the team to do so much to help her is a great example of how in spite of Haruka's rather abrasive personality; deep down she has a kind and pure heart as one would expect from any Sentai heroine.
  • Thanks to Tsuyoshi having met Shinzo before and still having his business card, he is able to call Minako after all these years. Their last call is bittersweet: they could never meet in person because they believe he looks too different, she knows they can't date because how he has got his own life to live, and yet he promises her that one day they will meet in a bright and beautiful place. With that, she finally passes on, and thanks Haruka as she ascends.
    • Shinzo never forgot her even after 50 years, even if he never found out the circumstances until now and assumed she just moved away.
  • Despite Engine-King throughly beating Don Onitaijin at its own game, Taro decides that the mecha is simply going to defend itself and wait it out until Minako is done with her call.
  • As much as Haruka is irritated by Hanamura trying to get back with her and how badly the alternate timeline in episode 10 showed their relationship would actually be, the fact that he's reaching out again suggests that the scandal is finally dying out and people are willing to give her a chance again. Haruka's found her place with the Donbrothers so she may not even care anymore, but it's still nice to see that won't haunt her for the rest of her life.

    Don-Episode 20: High Nose Elegy
  • Even after passing the leadership of Donbrothers to Jiro, Taro didn't abandon them, secretly assisting them behind the scenes in his Alter form. He's not even mad that they temporarily lost their heroic way either, simply saying that it's fine so long as they learned something out of it when they apologize and return to assist him.

Don-Episode 21: Extreme Way of the Ramen
  • After learning from Kaito that the current Donbrothers are the latest in a line of thousands of people who used the powers, and yet were the only ones who chose to fight Hitotsu-ki willingly, Taro praises them, or at least the ones present with him at Donbura at that point (Shinichi, Haruka, and Tsuyoshi). In a past episode he mentioned praises should be given only once, yet he did praise again the moment he learned how impressive his companions are.
  • Inspired by Shinichi's philosophy, Shirai starts up a humble ramen shop. When Shinichi comes by, Shirai instantly knows what he wants, and gives him an empty bowl to eat from. The episode ends with the both of them happily enjoying their company, in spite of what had occurred.

    Don-Episode 23: Inu, Become a Dog
  • Miho prays to the boy's dog, wishing him a peaceful rest. Tsuyoshi can't help but fawn over her kindness. At the end, this comes full circle as the two rebuild the boy's memorial.
  • Jiro's friends were excited to see him, and they hardly believe he can transform. But them seeing him pursue his dreams with such passion reminds them of their own dreams and makes a couple of them want to pursue their dreams again. Once he comes back from the bathroom, they continue to cheer him on. Rumi specially emphasizes how Jiro was passionate of his dream to become a superhero.

Don-Episode 24: My Son, the Puppet
  • The fact that Taro went along with the plan in the first place in spite of his inability to lie is heartwarming in and of itself, as it shows his dedication to making people happy. The same goes for Shinichi, Tsuyoshi, and Haruka helping Taro as well.
  • Even after lying about who he really is for most of the episode, Taro is still accepted by the woman who initially mistook him for her son. Taro even offers to give a back rub, leading to the second time Taro made a woman smile. Taro himself even smiles while giving the aforementioned back rub, as if he was aware of how happy he's making her.
  • Just after Koichiro was freed, Tomoko observes him through a corner and smiles, before leaving to wait for him at home.
  • After being returned to normal by the Donbrothers, Koichiro (formerly Ninja-Ki) decides to return home and try to learn piano again.

    Don-Episode 25: Heroes At Work
  • Despite it being a massive misunderstanding, the team helping each other out to the bone when they hear about a certain "friend's" problems in a heartbeat.
  • The team going out of their way to revamp the restaurant that Tsuyoshi consulted out to great success, allowing him to get his job back at his company.

    Don-Episode 27: A Serious Showdown
  • After Tarou and Sonoi's battle were interrupted by the Donbrothers, Jirou, the other Noutos and the Juutos; Sononi and Sonoza along with the Donbrothers decided to help hold the Juutos back so Tarou and Sonoi can focus.
  • Tarou and Sonoi support each other as they go to a secluded place both for the battle and to bandage themselves up. It's seen clearly that Sonoi catches Tarou when Tarou almost fell, and we're treated to a scene of them gently tending to the other's wound. It means a lot, considering they're supposed to be enemies, and also show just how much respect they both have for the other.

Don-Episode 28: The Secret of "The Secret"
  • Mizuho reveals at the end that Takeo believed that "The Secret" was a failure in his eyes. As his last wish, he asked her to burn the painting. Tsubasa concludes that the painting wasn't a failure after all - rather, it's Takeo's realization (therefore the actual "secret") that he couldn't express his true love for Mizuho after all. Mizuho tearfully states that she knew all of this time.

    Don-Episode 29: Mournings and Murasame
  • Sonoza is upset that he and Sononi weren't invited for Sonoi's funeral and, for once, it's Sononi that favors duty over emotion, but merely because the duty was his last wish.
  • Feral Jiro opens up about himself to Don Murasame, revealing how he was supposed to be fierce and ruthless, but gaining friends caused an other side of him to coexist with him. For once, the transition from Feral Jiro to his more friendly self goes smooth enough that he is allowed to hear most of that.
  • Mother mellows out further with Don Murasame, promising to pay more attention to what he has to say.
  • Even though Taro finds the Noto cuisine to literally have no taste, he appreciates the hospitality of the Noto Council and eats it anyway.
  • When Tsubasa goes feral while trying to wield the Ninjark Sword, Sononi genuinely sounds distressed when pointing out that this is not his style. When she is the one possessed, it's Sonoza who sounds distressed for what is happening to her.

    Don-Episode 31: Pupper Unmasked
  • Tensou-Ki's first host manages to shake off his possession after the waitress who served him bowls of katsudon shows interest in him.
  • After all that he's been through (a failed musician career, getting drafted into the Donbrothers after a misunderstanding, and turning into the second Tensou-Ki), Ryuji manages to reconnect and reconcile with his old flame Shoko.

    Don-Episode 32: Showdown Part Two
  • Taro is rather surprised and happy to see Sonoi is back from the dead, and before their one-strike battle at the end of the episode they are both smirking for a good while.

    Don-Episode 33: The Wasshoi Bird
  • With Taro still unconscious, Feral!Jiro takes care of him and hopes to see him wake up. Sure, it's because he wants to be the one to beat Taro, but he still goes the distance to see him come back.
  • Sonoi chokes on a Kibidango and both Sonoza and Sononi immediately hurries to aid him, but it is rather unexpected to see Tsuyoshi immediately get off his seat and hurry to his aid as well.
  • Haruka defends Kaito when Sonoi questions whether he's trustworthy, and she doesn't hesitate to say he's a trustworthy mysterious man.
  • Sonoza was quick to notice that Haruka still didn't get over her slump, and encourages her to overcome it herself, believing this is an opportunity for her to better herself, which does prompt her to take his advice as her chief editor to heart.
  • After Sonoi forced Shinichi, Haruka and Tsuyoshi to be consumed by their greed and become Taiyo-Ki, the first two immediately suppressed their Hitotsu-Ki at the sight of a revived Taro, and Tsuyoshi himself maintained a little bit of his politeness while as Hitotsu-Ki while also holding back some and becoming confused. He even prostrated himself before Taro.

    Don-Episode 34: Natsumi Meets Me
  • After getting his original personality back thanks to eating oden with wasabi, Sonoi gives Tarou a rather adorable smile.
    • And Sononi and Sonoza celebrating Sonoi being back to normal by smiling and hugging each other.

    Don-Episode 36: Dog Versus Dog
  • The team and Kaito attempt to cheer up a despondent Tsuyoshi by treating him to a selection of parfaits at Donbura. While it doesn't quite work (since they inadvertently push Tsuyoshi's Trauma Button by mentioning his wife), the fact that they still took the time and effort to care for one of their own is heartwarming enough.

    Don-Episode 37: I, Ni, Za and Shi
  • Right after Sonoza gives his Prima Donna Director criticism to Haruka's new attempt at the manga, he immediately softened his tone and gave her words of encouragement.
  • This episode shows just how comfortable the Nouto trio has grown to be around the Donbrothers, so much that they can casually eat oden together and even form a brief alliance against the much less likable Sonoshi. There are some more moments, such as while Don Momotaro is fighting Sonoshi, Sonoza is shown cheering for him while Sonoi and Sononi also seem to look worried for Tarou; and after it's revealed to Sonoshi that Tarou only faked death to fool them, Sonoi and Tarou are shown putting their hand on the other's shoulders comfortably and naturally.
  • After Sonoi hesitates to kill Sonoshi and explains that he cannot bring himself to kill a fellow Nouto, Tarou firmly puts his hand on his shoulders for comfort. Sonoi looks touched (and even shy) by this.

    Don-Episode 38: Gobbledygook Cooking
  • Tsubasa is extremely concerned for Tsuyoshi's well-being after seeing him having a doll as his Replacement Goldfish for Miho.
  • The reason Sonoi joins in on the feud for the eggs between Shinichi and Tsuyoshi is because he wanted to give them to the oden cart owner, wanting to taste his oden when made with quality ingredients.
  • Despite the chef coming off as a snob earlier in the episode, later when he and Tsubasa encounters others victims of Denshi-Ki starving, the chef makes a point that a cook's duty is to take care of people's dietary needs, and the two puts their heads together to cook dishes for everyone using the fruits they found inside the pocket dimension.

    Don-Episode 40: Dangerous Love Wagon
  • Sononi had the chance to give Tsubasa a Mercy Kill to spare him from being ruthlessly hunted by Don Murasame, but seeing his sorry state and temporary sensory failure, as well as her own eagerness to learn about his love, she pretends to be Natsumi and saves him from Don Murasame. Eventually, once he gets better, he returns the favor by saving her from Don Murasame, wanting to understand why she saved him.
    • Tsubasa finally explains why he fell in love for Natsumi and the answer is both more plain than expected, and at the same time holds a deep meaning: nothing. He just loves her no matter what, he doesn't feel a reason to it. He could have said it was her kindness or her beauty, but even if she lost her kindness and beauty he would still love her, so there's really no explanation as to why he loves her so much. This answer is what caused Sononi to start actually falling in love with Tsubasa and not in a good way.
  • Don Murasame starts seeing Tsubasa as a friend once the latter saves him from a Cat Juto and ignoring his mother's protest.
  • The hot-blooded driving instructor who passed Haruka firmly believed in her, refusing to give up until she could pass the practical test.

Don-Episode 41: Serving the Santa Clause
  • It is revealed that doing a secret Santa for the humans is a Noto tradition to show gratitude for the brainwaves they received from humans through the year.
  • Taro meeting Santa at the end.
  • Turns out when Santa visited Taro as a kid, he was out of toys and needed donations, which Taro agreed to, and they even spent some quality time together playing cards.

    Don-Episode 42: Don-Lifting Family
  • Taro admits that he felt left out for most of the fake family scheme, and that apparently upset him to the point of causing him to hiccup at the thought.
    • Once again it's Haruka showing interest on Taro, as she was the one who apologized and explained why they didn't ask him for his help at first, and later approached him by the end to ask if he was upset that they left him out the loop.
  • Tsubasa, when passing by Shinichi's house, fondly remembers of the fake family he had for a moment, smiles widely and clicks heels while walking away, clearly overjoyed by those memories.

Don-Episode 44: White Revealed, Black Revealed
  • Sonoza is finally able to properly understand human emotions, acknowledges that Haruka has finally surpassed herself, and was about to leave her as he "has nothing more to teach her". Yet, she stops him and asks him to continue being her chief editor, to which he hesitates for a moment before accepting.
  • Sonoi finally being able to understand art, painting a beautiful picture of a park that he's happy with.
  • Even if Sononi lied to Tsubasa and almost made him kill Natsumi through the Crane Juto, Tsubasa still went the long mile to try to find help and keep her alive. He won't admit it, but he does feel something strong for her and it can't be just anger.
  • Immediately after realizing what he almost did, Tsuyoshi rushes to help Tsubasa push Choudenshi-Ki away from Sononi. He may have tried to kill his teammate, but the DonBlaster chose him for a reason.

    Don-Episode 45: Kakamura, or Gagamura
  • The Noto Trio discusses the possibility of joining forces with the Donbrothers, while Sonoi still has his pride as a Noto (and lacks a dream), Sononi just wants to fulfill her dream of being close to Tsubasa and Sonoza sees it as the perfect opportunity to mentor Haruka and fulfill his dream of being a chief editor.
  • His grooming of Jiro to be his template and successor as the Forest of Slumber's guardian notwithstanding, Terasaki is shown to genuinely care for him, expressing happiness that he has found friends outside of the village.

    Don-Episode 46: A Natsumi Night's Dream
  • Terasaki is moved when Sonoi reveals he plans on using the Ring of Forgiveness to release all the purged humans as his gesture of true sincerity.
  • Taro, cementing his place as the guardian of the Forest of Slumber, declares first and foremost that he doesn't consider the Juto's existence to be a crime, and that their only crimes were against humans. And rather than seeking extermination of them, he just sentences them to live in the forest and cause no more trouble.
  • Crosses as a tearjerker, but Terasaki using the last of his strength through illusions of Jiro's friends to cheer him on, showing just how much he means to him.
  • All Hitotsu-Ki hosts, even those presumed dead due to how their purging showed the cube shattering, are now back to the human world! And hopefully free from the possession as well.
  • Tsubasa finally reuniting with Natsumi at the end.
  • The production photo includes two shots of the two Noto Trios together holding onto their pair.

    Don-Episode 48: The 9 Donbros
  • Sononi saving Tsubasa and Natsumi from the cops. He may still hate her, but she still cares about him enough to not let him and his love have harm on him.
  • Sonoza keeps encouraging Haruka to continue making manga, because it makes people happy, and also explaining he used it to seal Murasame because he wanted the later to find peace to his troubled existence while reading through it.
  • Dangerous Jiro reassuring his other self that they still have each other, just before the two fuse. Keep in mind that Dangerous Jiro is the original personality and thus would have every right to reclaim his body; instead, he willingly submits to the split personality.
  • After defeating the Hitotsu-Ki and the Nōto Overseers, the new Donbrothers celebrate their newfound teamwork, with Shinichi and Sonoi giving each other the credit. Notably, the trio is on First-Name Basis with Shinichi, something which he wasn't with the other Donbrothers.
  • Taro and Sonoi sharing smiles together at the end.

    Don-Episode 49: Last Memories
  • Tsubasa is quick to notice Kijino still hasn't overcome his loss of Miho and tries to encourage him to become the kind man he used to be, and encourages him to meet Natsumi proper.
  • During his job resignation, his boss tries to put a tough front, even though he's on the verge of breaking in tears, and eventually he cracks and admits he can't imagine the company without him.
  • Taro points out to Jiro that it is very possible that Jiro made "Rumi's" stew subconsciously based on Terasaki's cooking.
  • Natsumi reveals she remembers her life with Kijino in her dreams, where she was Miho, and admits she was genuinely happy with him.
  • When Tsubasa goes on the run again, Sononi pulls all the stops to prevent the police from arresting him, eventually going a little overboard as he points out.
  • At Taro's birthday he acknowledges he learned what happiness is and refuses to admit it was being with the Donbrothers and the Noto Trio. Predictably, he dies temporarily because of that, to which everyone comes to the obvious conclusion that his happiness comes from being with his friends.

Don-Episode Final: We Have Made True Bonds
  • Taro being genuinely happy that the other Donbrothers, despite the hardships they had endured, do not regret joining him and fighting by his side. On top of that, they all developed their personality thanks to being a Donbrother:
    • Haruka stopped dreading being called a plagiarist by her classmates, and now it has become more of an Affectionate Nickname.
    • Shinichi acknowledged that he wanted to reach something beyond his grasp but couldn't, but now is comfortable with keeping his feet on the ground.
    • Kijino decided to move on with his life in a newer place whilst willing to save others, so maybe one day he can be saved as well.
    • Tsubasa admits that his pursuit for Natsumi ended in an anti-climatic way, but he will continue to fight to protect the love of others.
  • After overcoming the shock of Taro forgetting even him, Sonoi warms up a smile and cites how oden can bring some familiarity between strangers who just joined them.
  • Taro gets moved by Haruka's manga so much that it manages to bring his memories back for one last festival.
  • The "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue:
    • Tsubasa and Sononi settling down into their Outlaw Couple role. Tsubasa may have lost Natsumi and still is a wanted criminal, it is heartfelt that he now has a devoted Sononi for companionship, which likely implied that Tsubasa eventually forgave and returned Sononi's feelings.
    • Sonoza looking on proudly as Haruka receives her award. It's quite touching to see how far Sonoza has come to learning about emotions that he was curious about in the beginning, to eventually be able to express them genuinely in the end.
    • Despite being on the lam, and being two of the most distant teammates, Tsubasa and Sononi are somehow there at the award ceremony, dressed up and not at all in danger of being arrested. They wouldn't miss out on their comrade achieving her hard-fought success. In general, the surviving eight Donbrothers being up on stage with arms around each other shows how far they've all come, and how closely they've bonded from being strangers and enemies.
    • As Tsuyoshi prepares to move out, he's approached by none other than Natsumi, who asks him if he wants to continue the dream together.
    • Haruka answering the door for a delivery, and sure enough, it's Taro.

Movies and Specials

    Avataro Sentai Donbrothers VS Zenkaiger
  • After regaining his memories, Taro decides to drop by Sonoi's oden stall and they share a moment together. Taro complimenting Sonoi's oden is just the icing on the cake.
  • While in the hospital, Jiro gets a visit from a nurse named Hikari Asada, who looks exactly like Rumi. Given their interaction, it seems even he got the happy ending he was missing.
  • Tsubasa realizing he's truly happy on the run with Sononi and them running off together. Looks like she got the guy after all!
