  • Affably Evil: This character is undoubtedly villainous, but they have an amount of politeness and courtesy typically reserved for more heroic characters.
  • All-Loving Hero: A character with limitless love for others.
  • Almighty Janitor: A low-ranking character is extremely powerful.
  • AM/FM Characterization: Musical choices of a character clue us in to traits about them.
  • Anti-Villain: A villian with redeeming qualities.
  • Barrier Maiden: Key to the universe staying in balance.
  • Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: A team consisting of an attractive girl, a brainy girl, and a fighting girl.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: A character renowned for their kindness is NOT to be messed with.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: A character that appears nice on the outside is actually a terrible person.
  • Character Alignment: Nine different moral alignments characters can fall into:
  • Classical Anti-Hero: An otherwise heroic character has some sort of vice they must overcome.

  • Dissonant Serenity: A character reacts placidly in a situation where they should have a more intense reaction.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: A villainous character has a clearly defined limit to their villany.
  • The Face: The member of The Team who has the most Street Smarts.
  • Face of a Thug: Intimidating character is actually really nice.
  • The Fashionista: A person characterized by their love and skill in the field of fashion.
  • Fairytale Motif: The use of a recurring image in fairytales to symbolize something.
  • Four-Philosophy Ensemble: A four/five man group consisting of a logical skeptic (The Cynic), a sentimental idealist (The Optimist), an objective but versatile thinker (The Realist), and a charcter less than interested in the primary conflict (The Apathetic).
  • Four-Temperament Ensemble: A four/five man group consisting of an energetic and affable character (Sanguine), an ambitious leader (Choleric), an introspective and solemn character (Melancholic), and a calm and friendly character (Phlegmatic).

  • Perky Goth: A character with a dark clothing aesthetic isn’t as glum or aloof as most goths. In fact, quite the opposite!
  • Personality Powers: Superpowers aligning with personality traits.
  • Plucky Girl: A brave and optimistic heroine.
  • Politeness Judo: Getting your way by being polite.
  • The Pollyanna: An unwaveringly idealistic character.
  • Pragmatic Hero: A hero who’ll resort to morally questionable actions for the greater good.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: A high-energy and passionate character teamed up with a low-energy and collected character.
