Lost Aesop wick check called for by TRS relating to Broken Aesop, questioning how it's use.
Supposed to be Aesops set up by the work but forgotten (Forgotten Aesop being a redirect to it), but the use is nebulous and overlap with Broken Aesop or other issues.

- Series.Luke Cage 2016: A common complaint made about the show is that while racism is brought up, most of the conflict is still black-on-black. For example, "Black Lives Matter" and police brutality get mentioned, but white supremacy has nothing to do with the incidents shown on-screen and these issues are brought up by criminals who are hoping to smokescreen other agendas. Also, Rackham is stated after death to have mistreated Carl due to racism, but there's no indication Carl was treated any worse than inmates of other ethnicities. Also, in the aforementioned cases, Diamondback (a black man) is revealed as the underlying cause of both the increased police violence and Carl's prison abuse. Further, despite Word of God stating that show has the message of "a black man in a hoodie isn't a threat", Luke Cage is the ONLY person that applies to; many other black characters are henchmen or criminals wearing hoodies. Thus, the issues of police brutality and prison corruption have nothing to do with an accused system of white supremacy, which is the primary complaint of their detractors in Real Life, and a person could easily warp the show's aesop into "Yes, every black man in a hoodie isn't dangerous, but why take a chance?" Has a note saying it was added after deliberation. Still, issue of complaining under non-YMMV.

- Funny.Best Of The Worst 2017 Episodes: Rich: So they're exactly equal and... you know what? Just go throw out more suburbs, fuck it. It's all equivalent.
- TheSimpsons.Tropes I To M: The episode "Blood Feud" ended with the Simpsons trying to determine that the moral is either "a good deed is its own reward", "no good deed goes unrewarded", and "the squeaky wheel gets the grease", before ultimately dismissing the whole ordeal as a Random Events Plot and indulge in an "Everybody Laughs" Ending.
- Characters.Dont Hug Me Im Scared: Michael's story was supposed to prove to Yellow Puppet that everyone has a "Special Someone". However, the Story clearly does not have that:This is the story of Michael, the ugliest boy in town
Ugly and weak, they called him a freak
So he lived on his own underground
He lived on his own underground (x2)
Shrignold: You see? Everyone has a special one.

- Anti-Escapism Aesop: Zigzagged throughout Series.Caprica, where "V-world" holobands are often used by many bored people. Wise Beyond Their Years high schoolers Zoe Graystone and Lacy Rand regard its use to simulate Blood Sports, Human Sacrifice, and Wretched Hive crimeworlds as evidence of the decadence of Caprica society, and many of its users are shown to be overly dependent on it. However, this leads into a confused aesop about the creation of new life, as Zoe has used V-world to build a perfect digital copy of herself which replaces her after her death in the pilot, leading into yet another confused aesop when monotheists plan to use it to create life after death for believers. At the end, Zoe's parents visit their dead daughter's avatar regularly, turning the whole thing into a Lost Aesop.

- Anime.Pokemon Genesect And The Legend Awakened: The movie can't seem to decide on what it wants to say; while much of the story seems to focus on Genesect and Mewtwo trying to find their place in the world, it also seems to repeat Pokémon: The First Movies message of "all life is equal", and out of nowhere near the end, it seems to be "Everyone is your friend"; something that the final ten minutes harps on about. Also, does that include those who want to exploit others for their own benefit (as happened to the both of them by their creators)? Multiple Aesops but not setting up but not forgetting them.'
- SoYouWantTo.Avoid Breaking Your Aesops: Lost Aesop: The plot is written without the Aesop in mind, so whatever you think your characters should do has no bearing on whatever actually happens to solve the problem. About not having Aesop as opposed to setting up but forgetting.

- YMMV.Star Trek Picard: Anvilicious: When the crew arrives in 2024 Los Angeles in Season 2 episode 3, they are utterly shocked and disgusted by the society they see. Raffi sees the rampant homelessness in LA and rails against the evils of wealth inequality. Seven of Nine sees an out of control wildfire and rants about how 2024 society cares nothing about the environment as they destroy it with pollution and climate change. Rios ends up in a non-profit clinic that gets raided by ICE and is aggressively arrested by police due to suspicion of being an illegal immigrant. Raffi and Seven of Nine in particular wonder how society in 2024 even survives and decry these contemporary social ills as the possible causes of the Bad Future with the Confederation. Of course, if you don't know or don't care about American political issues, this episode may come off as confusing or uninteresting. Guinan's appearance in the next episode also has her repeating much of what Seven & Raffi say in the previous one. '''Pothole seems half correct in losing track of intended message, but other half irrelevant complaining and as whole contradicts Anvilicious which should mean it's clear the intended message.
- Tropes A to H: An Aesop: Lots of them, as expected from a kids' show. Many, many episodes have morals to impart, such as "The Kyoshi Warriors" ("sexism is bad"), "The Fortuneteller" ("we make our own destiny"), and "The Deserter" ("impatience is bad"). Few of them are broken, lost, or otherwise faulty.
- Anime.Kaleido Star: In the end, was it good or not to be competitive? Doesn't say what the Aesop was supposed to be.
- Recap.Philip K Dicks Electric Dreams S 1 E 4 Crazy Diamond: Approval of God: Indirect version. Dick said of his original story "Sales Pitch" that he regretted never putting any twists into it and having it be a simple robot-vs-human plot with an on-the-nose Aesop about pushy salespeople, and asked readers to imagine a better ending for it where the robot and human somehow end up on the same side in the end without it seeming schmaltzy. Sure enough, this adaptation keeps it unclear through the entire story whose side Jill is on — or for that matter whose side Ed is on — and has the most ambiguous "moral" of any episode of this show. Can't tell what it means by "ambiguous".
