Kids

    Dudão
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dudinho.png
The protagonist of the series. He's a Christian, overweight 11-year old boy who looks forwards into teaching his friends about Christianity and good morals.
  • Big Fun: He's usually the nicest kid.

    Binho
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/binho_1996.png
Dudão's best friend. Despite also being Christian, he is a very whiny kid and easily gets on arguments and grudges with the other kids, but always learning his lesson in the end.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: In a comic, one of his ears gets huge after a bee stings it. After Zuca teases him for it, Binho suddenly becomes very racist, saying that Zuca only did that because he's black, and all black people are like this. He only learns to not be racist after he gets stuck on top of a palm tree and Zuca has to save him.
  • Lost Aesop: Despite the events of the aforementioned comic, in later stories Binho calls Zuca a "dry java plum"note , and compares Zuca's hair to steel wool, meaning he's still being racist.

  • Only Known by Their Nickname: His name is never said, although his real-life counterpart is named "Fábio", so it's most likely the abbreviation of the diminutive "Fabinho".
  • Youthful Freckles: He seems to be younger than Dudão, and has freckles.

    Paçoca
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/6840dfc552277f896b65c0d4844a888f.jpg
A mischievous, troublesome and atheist boy, who can be considered the main antagonist between the children.
  • Brats with Slingshots: In a coloring image, he hit a bird with a slingshot.
  • Dumb Blonde: He has much less knowledge than Dudão both in school and in Christian values.
  • Signature Laugh: "Ah! Ah! Ah!" instead of the more traditional "Ha, ha, ha!"

    Rebeca
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rebeca_hd.png
The only girl in the gang. Like Binho, she's Christian but not very well-behaved.
  • Does Not Like Men: In the beggining of the comic "Ioiozando", she's mad at the boys for always thinking they're better, and practices the yoyo so she can win against then and prove girls are best. In the end of the story, she's instead convinced by Dudão that boys and girls are equally great.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: In a comic, she starts swearing at everything (albeit it's censored, of course), justifying it because everyone else also swears other than Dudão and Binho. However, in her way to a free ice cream festival, she accidentally bumps into a man and swears and him... Then he turns out to be the host of the festival and doesn't let Rebeca enter until she promises to never swear again.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Besides a few background/one-off characters, there are no other girls beside her.

Teens and adults

    Zuca
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zuca_1996.png
A black, poor boy who likes making fun of others.
  • Abusive Parents: He says he beats up other people because his dad beats him too.
  • Would Hurt a Child: In the comic "Catiripapo", he starts slapping people in the back and calling this move a "catiripapo", being this trope since he did it in Dudão and Paçoca.
  • Would Hit a Girl: In the aforementioned story, he pushes Rebeca into the ground before introducing the "catiripapo" to Dudão.

    Tato
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tatu_1996.png
An athetic kid who always wants to be the best in everything. He's impulsive and violent, frequently hitting his peers when they annoy him.
  • Berserk Button: If you win in an competition against him, he'll get furious and beat you up.
  • The Bully: Can be considered one to his friends, as he often uses physical violence against them.
  • Meaningful Name: In Portuguese, "Tato" means "tact". Fitting name for a characters who often gets physical and uses his fists against people who enrage him.
  • Sore Loser: He'll beat the pulp out of anyone who dares be better against him in any sport or game.
Tato: (running in front of a boy in wheelchairs): This loser wanted to be better than me!
Dudão: "Loser"? Don't you see that he can't walk?
Tato: [It's his] problem! He wanted to be better than me!
  • Would Hurt a Child/Would Hit a Girl: He hits all of the kids, usually for minor reasons such as beating him in a game. He starts a fight with Rebeca when she does better yoyo moves than him, and Dudão and Baldinho end up involved in the fight too.
  • Wouldn't Hit a Girl: In a single comic, he says he won't hit Rebeca back for accidentally throwing a rock at him because "she's a woman and very weak" (although he was actually going to hit her at first, until Dudão convinced him not to).

    Pita
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pita_remaster.png
A nerdy, smart boy, which doesn't stop him from making fun of Dudão like the others.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: In a polemic story where he gets a "feminine" hairstyle (complete with a pair of earrings), everyone either thinks he looks like a girl because of it, or that he is a girl.
Random guy: Excuse me, little girl.
    Pita: I'm actually a man!
    Random guy: I dunno!
  • Never Bareheaded: Rebeca even states that his forehead has never seen the Sun, because he's never takes the cap off.
  • Non-Standard Character Design: From 1996 onwards, only one of his ears is visible at a time instead of two like the other characters.
  • Never Bareheaded: He's always wearing a backwards red cap.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: He's the only character who wears glasses and happens to also be a nerd.
  • Wouldn't Hurt a Child: Unlike Tato and Zuca, he doesn't get on fights with the kids, but still abuses them verbally.

    Baldinho
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cospe_cospe.jpg
The youngest kid in the gang. He often repeats parts of the sentences his friends say.

    Seu Jesão
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kasino.png
Jesão holding a "No to Violence" sign
Dudão's father. He's a religious man like his son, and strongly opposes violence.
