Marvel Falls is a crossover with Gravity Falls and Ms. Marvel by Epiclot214

Kamala Khan was once an ordinary girl working at a summer job at the Mystery Shack. One day, she and her boss's great-nephew stumble upon a journal and a crystal that gives Kamala strange, inhuman powers. Together, she and the Pines Twins must learn the secrets of her powers as well as the mysteries of Gravity Falls.

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Instead of Mabel, Lil' Gideon is infatuated with Kamala. But this is only because she has super powers.
  • Adaptational Context Change: Kamala tells Wendy about Robbie wanting to fight Dipper and she breaks up with him much earlier than in canon.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Robbie's parents appear in chapter 9 when Kamala goes to Robbie's house to make him call off his fight with Dipper (which he refuses).
  • Adaptational Origin Connection:
    • Instead of Dipper, Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Durland make fun of Kamala/Ms Marvel after her claim that Toby Determined is Wax Stan's murder is proven false. Also it's a wax Yon Rogg who leads the wax statues instead of wax Sherlock Holmes, and he too suffers the same fate of melting in the sunrise.
    • Blendin is an agent of the Time Variance Authority.
    • Mermano the merman knows of the Terrigen Crystals and the Inhumans.
    • The dinosaurs under Gravity Falls are under the control of Sauron.
    • Bill Cipher drops a hint that he's met Captain Marvel in the past when he says that Kamala reminds him of another Marvel.
  • Adapted Out:
    • Chapter 13 has the pterodactyl replaced by Sauron. And instead of McGucket, the Pines, Soos, Kamala, and Doreen meet Lunella Lafayette/Moon Girl.
    • In chapter 15, the heroes bring in Devil Dinosaur to deal with Gideon instead of the gnomes. Unfortunately, the Gideon's pig whitle also works on Devil. Fortunately when he and Moon Girl arrive to fight Gideon's mech, the latter makes him dinosaur ear muffs to protect him from the sound.
  • Aesop Amnesia: Discussed in chapter 10. When the shrunken heroes are stuck in a jar by Lil Gideon, thanks to Dipper using the size crystals, Doreen questions why he keeps using magical items to fix his personal problems, after it always backfires on him.
  • Affectionate Nick Name: Bill calls Doreen = Acorn, and Kamala = Lightning Bolt.
  • Behemoth Battle: The climax of Chapter 15 has an Embiggened Kamala, Devil Dinosaur, and Doreen commanding a horde of squirrels into an approximation of her shape versus Gideon's mech.
  • The Big Damn Kiss: Kamala and Dante share one after they've defeated Gideon.
  • Big "NO!": Wax Yon Rogg when Kamala holds him up to the sun and he melts away.
  • Berserk Button: Insulting Captain Marvel sets Kamala off.
  • Bully Hunter: In chapter 5, Kamala drives crazy so Mabel will get car sick on Robbie, as payback for being a jerk to Dipper and especially for calling Captain Marvel lame.
  • Call-Forward:
  • Can't Kill You, Still Need You: Near the end of Chapter 8, Mobius tells the twins and Kamala that they're getting a slap on the wrist for their misadventures with Blendin's TemPad because they're far too integral to the timeline in some way that the TVA isn't sure of yet.
  • Chekhov's Gun: The Terrigen Crystal Lunella has from chapter 13, ends up breaking in chapter 15 giving Dante his Inhuman powers.
  • Content Warning: The author's note at the top of Chapter 7 notes that it will touch on a pretty sensitive issue, and sure enough, Kamala has to deal with people (namely Preston Northwest) disparaging her for her religion.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: Lil Gideon does NOT enjoy seeing Dante getting close to Kamala. So in chapter 12, Gideon sabotages his two attempts to ask her out by sicing a lobster and a skunk on him. Thankfully, Kamala and Doreen foil his third sabotage (which the animal this time is a wolverine) and turn it right back on him, allowing Dante to ask her out.
  • De-power: When Gideon shrinks Kamala and Doreen in Chapter 10, it also negates their abilities, save for Doreen's ability to communicate with squirrels.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: In chapter 11, Kamala reveals that she had a bad experience when she snuck out to a Halloween party. The host Zoe Zimmer and her friends were badmouthing Kamala's family and laughed when she defended them, causing her to leave in sadness. And she lost her spirit for Halloween as a result, with her parents not even having the heart to punish her for sneaking out after she came home and cried in their arms.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Like in canon Pacifica Northwest has no issues with mocking for Mabel being a Cloudcuckoolander, but she was sorry for Kamala when her parents say that 'there were barely any Muslins in Gravity falls in 1863' as an excuse to prevent Kamala from participating in Pioneer Day.
  • Fangirl: Just like in the comics, Kamala is a huge fan of Captain Marvel and being a superhero in general.
  • Fantastic Racism: Maximum hates humans and part of his deal with Bill will allow him to mistreat them. Of course being imprisoned by Lil' Gideon didn't help his output.
Maximus: You know, it's people like you that fuels my hatered for humans!
  • Freudian Slip:
Grunkle Stan: My head! I missed this guy! I don't buy that 'superpower' talk, but I guess this Ms Marvel ain't all talk after all.
    Kamala: Oh. Thank you.
    Grunkle Stan: Thanks? For what?
  • Fusion Fic: The fic combines the world of Gravity Falls with Ms Marvel, as Kamala and her family live in the said town and she works at the Mystery Shack.
  • Genre Savvy: Kamala occasionally lampshades things like Doreen saying that things in Gravity Falls that day are boring, only for the two of them to stumble onto Gideon summoning Bill.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Apparently someone else sent Maximus to lead Gideon to the Journal. It's later confirmed to be Bill, as Gideon finding the Journal is an absolute point, but for some reason in this particular timeline he needed Maximus's help.
  • Hypocritical Humor: When Robbie mocks Dipper for being interested in Wendy by saying that Dipper wears the same pair of shorts every day, Kamala mentally notes that Robbie himself is always wearing the same hoodie.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: In Chapter 2, Kamala doesn’t believe Old Man McGucket's claim about the Gobblewonker, but while she's scolding the Twins and Soos for abandoning Grunkle Stan's fishing trip, only for said monster to show up. Subverted in the end, as after she defeats it in battle, they all find out it was a robot controlled by McGucket as it was in canon.
  • Internal Reveal: While spying on Gideon's conversion with Bill Cipher, Kamala learns that the former is keeping an Inhuman prisoner in his basement. Of course, she's unaware that said Inhuman is Maximus the Mad.
  • The Knights Who Say "Squee!": Kamala, as always, is a big fan of Captain Marvel. She even uses the cheat code to summon her video game version to fight Rumble and save Robbie instead of just showing up herself as Ms. Marvel.
  • Literal Ass-Kicking: At the end of Chapter 7 Kamala uses her powers to stealthily kick Preston in the butt as he's entering his car so hard that he hits his head on the roof.
  • Locking MacGyver in the Store Cupboard: This is the reason Mobius gives as to why the TVA doesn't arrest Timely; if they take him to the TVA and he somehow manages to escape, he'll have access to the most advanced time travel technology in the multiverse, and as he was dangerous enough with just a bootleg device they don't want to risk it.
  • Mass Super-Empowering Event: At the end of Chapter 15, Maximus sets up a device to cover the entirety of Gravity Falls in Terrigen Mist.
  • Mr. Exposition: Mermando is familiar with legends of Inhumans and Terrigen, and clues Kamala in on them as thanks for her speaking up in his defense.
  • Mythology Gag:
  • Noodle Incident: In Chapter 14 Bill mentions that he's had previous encounters with Inhumans, and that most of the Royal Family is terrified of him.
  • No-Sell: Kamala tries to reason with the Wax Statues, telling Wax Sherlock that he always caught criminals, not become one. And that Wax Shakespeare expressed himself through art, not murder. Only for the former to point out that their only Wax replicas and not the real ones.
  • Right Behind Me:
    • Kamala says this when the Gobblewonker appears behind her.
    • Lunella also says this in Chapter 13, but fortunately it's her friend Devil Dinosaur behind her. Though the Pines, Soos, Kamala, and Doreen don't know that yet.
  • The Reveal: Kamala learns from Mermano that her powers came from Terrigen Crystals and that she's an Inhuman.
  • Secret-Keeper: Dipper and Mabel know of Kamala's identity as Ms Marvel and as the fic goes on, other people learn of it too.
    • Soos in chapter 2.
    • Lil' Gideon in chapter 4.
    • Wendy in chapter 5.
    • Doreen in chapter 6.
    • Dante almost in chapter 7 then finally in chapter 10.
    • Mermano in chapter 12.
  • Shipper on Deck: When Doreen notices the way that Kamala is looking at Dante during Chapter 6's party, she encourages the other girl to dance with him.
  • Sidekick: Doreen Green/Squrriel Girl becomes this to Ms Marvel.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Robbie Valentino and Preston Northwest become this to Kamala. The former is for always being a massive jerk to Dipper and for saying Captain Marvel is lame. And the latter is for treating her badly solely because she's Muslim.
  • Spared by the Adaptation:
    • In chapter 9, Dipper doesn't get beaten to a pulp by Rumble. Instead, Kamala summons Captain Marvel from the same game and the two battle before she defeats him and they both get sent back to their game world.
    • Soos isn't accidentally left shrunk in chapter 10.
  • Squee: Kamala's reaction when she learns that the Gravity Falls arcade has a discontinued game with Captain Marvel as a character.
  • Stupid Crooks: One of the burglars in the opening of Chapter 12 is clearly not brightest bulb. He breaks into Greasy's Diner just to steal Lazy Susan's coffee omelet recipe. He rebukes his partner saying that's a stupid heist that will make them laughing stocks to all criminals when they could be robbing a bank or a jewelry store like that's the lamest heist since you can't eat money like you can an omelet, even though you can buy food with money. When Ms. Marvel shows up, he runs directly towards the very exit that she's blocking off, allowing her to easily catch him, something she lampshades.
  • Take That!: Robbie says that the Captain Marvel movie is lame, while Kamala and Dante agree it's not perfect, both say it's still memorable and doesn't deserve so much hate.
  • Villain Team-Up: Chapter 15 reveals that Bill and Maximus have an alliance, in which Bill keeps Maximus from suffering from Rapid Aging, and Maximus helps bring about Weirdmaggedon for Bill, afterwards he can rule over the Inhumans while regular humans suffer.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: In Chapter 2, Kamala scolds the Pine Twins for ditching Grunkle Stan to go searching for the Gobblewonker, when he wanted to spend time with them. She then proceeds to lecture them about the importance of spending time with your loved ones. But she's interrupted by the Gobblewonker. When McGucket tells them about how his son never spends time with him and the Twins realize they've done the same with Grunkle Stan, Kamala gives them an 'I told you so'.
McGucket: You just don't know the length us old-timers go through for a little quality time with our family.
Kamala: [to the now remorseful Pine Twins] I guess you two understand?
    Dipper: Pretty much.
Soos: Dude, I guess the real lake monster is you two. Sorry. That just like-boom-popped into my head there.
  • Wham Episode: Chapter 15 drops a few big bombshells.
    • Dante is revealed to be Inhuman when he ends up exposed to mist from a broken Terrigen Crystal and ends up with flame powers.
    • Kamala's parents reveal that they've known she was Ms Marvel since the last chapter.
    • A newly freed Maximus unleashes a Terrigen Wave all over Gravity Falls which will doubt create more Inhumans.
  • Wham Shot:
    • At the end of chapter 4, it's revealed that Lil' Gideon has Maximus the Mad as his prisoner. And had also learned from him that Kamala's powers came from Terrigen Crystals.
    • At the end of chapter 13, Lunella is revealed to have a Terrigen Crystal, which she notes to Devil Dinosaur is how she got her psychic link to him, meaning she's an Inhuman like Kamala.
  • You and What Army?: Dipper 2 uses this line right before Doreen summons a squirrel army. She even says that she was hoping that he'd say that.
  • You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: Gideon yells this when Dante is revealed to be Inhuman from the Terrigen Crystal.
