The Multiverse is a concept about which we know frighteningly little

Anime X Marvel is a video series of crossovers combining anime with Marvel Comics. Although a significant portion of the series borrowed elements from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, other elements from separate movies, shows and comics are used.

The series is created by PowerCore Productions.

The series contain the following tropes:

  • Adaptational Badass:
    • In My Hero Academia: Armored Adventures, Momo became the ninth wielder of One For All and her quirk was enhanced exponentially.
    • Normal people or at least ones that lacked offensive abilities are given spider powers like Miyuki Shirogane and Kazuma Satou.
  • Adaptational Intelligence:
    • Izuku Midoriya in canon was already a smart boy with his knowledge on quirks. In Armored Adventures, his intellect is significantly boosted to be able to make the Iron Man suits.
    • Having being raised by superhero/s, those like Naruto and Goku became far wiser individuals compared to their original counterparts.
  • Adaptational Superpower Change:
    • It is Momo who becomes the ninth wielder of One For All, not Izuku as what happened in canon.
    • Issei's Boosted Gear abilities are replaced with the Ghost Rider's.
    • In canon, Bell's magical attacks are fire-based but in The Last King, his are electric-based to reflect his position as the new God of Thunder.
    • Due to Miles being the vassal for Sukuna in Spider's Curse, Yuji trains under Danny Rand to wield the power of the Iron Fist.
  • Alliance of Alternates: The Spider-Men, though that was not actually Superior Spider-Man's intention. He wanted to recruit Loki's Avengers but the Illuminati's technology could only helped him find spider people like him, not helping that Loki's Avengers are composed of people that were considered anomalies, even by Marvel standards.
  • Alternate Self:
    • There are multiple variants of Peter Parker throughout the Multiverse. They are most prominent in The Princess and the Spider and The Spiderverse Saga.
    • JoJo's Bizarre Adventure -The First Avengers and The Rising of the Shield Hero - Man Out of Time has their own variant of Captain America.
    • Satoru Gojo has one from a universe where that variant became evil and has a Villain Team-Up with Vali Lucifer and Sōsuke Aizen.
  • Ascended Extra: Several characters have their roles expanded beyond their one-off episodes or movies like Melissa Shield joining U.A. following My Hero Academia: Two Heroes or those like Raynare having being Spared By Adaptation.
  • Big Bad:
    • The Dark Ones are the ones orchestrating most of the troubles throughout the Anime x Marvel Phase 1, including manipulating Black Heart and Scarlet Witch.
    • Kang the Conqueror to the entire Spiderverse saga, as he's leading a brutal conquest across The Multiverse.
  • Big Good:
    • Loki from the series, Loki has been travelling across the Multiverse, gathering the series' heroes to help battle The Scarlet Witch.
    • Otto Octavius/Superior Spider-Man, like Loki, is recruiting Spider-Man across The Multiverse to combat Kang.
  • Crisis Crossover:
    • Phase 1 ends with Loki, Peter Parker, Steve Rogers, Issei Hyoudou, Naruto Uzumaki, Bell Cranel, Izuku Midoriya, Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko forming the Avengers to fight the Scarlet Witch and the Dark Ones.
    • Phase 2 ends with The Movie, Edge of Time Parts 1 & 2.
  • Crossover: Each phase ends with a crossover event between the various series.
    • What if Naruto was in Highschool DxD, another series made by PowerCore Productions and not related to the Anime x Marvel series at all, intertwined with it when Mystic Adventures Naruto and Spirt of Vengeance Issei entered that universe.
  • Crossover Power Acquisition:
    • Spider-Man is granted the power of Return by Death.
    • 2002 Green Goblin acquires the Authority of Sloth after killing Petelguese.
    • A few characters from Naruto would learn Eldritch Magic from Doctor Strange and the sorcerers. Sakura and Sasuke would each respectively learn a different kind of magic, the former with Chaos Magic and the latter with Frost Giant Magic.
    • Tanjiro and the other Demon Slayers using Venom's powers.
    • Bell acquires Thor's magical hammer, Mjölnir.
    • Any anime character that gains spider powers.
    • Kang captures one of the Kurumi clones and steals her time abilities.
  • Dies Differently In The Adaptation: In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the Illuminati were killed by the Scarlet Witch. Here, having survived that event, several of them would instead be killed by Kang the Conqueror.
  • Friendly Neighborhood Spider: Most of the Spider-Men in the SpiderVerse saga are this. Some ranged from being cold and serious like Superior Spider-Man and Loid Forger to completely violent like Ryuko.
  • Fusion Fic: Most of the series blends both elements of anime and comic books into one setting. ReZero: The Princess and the Spider and Naruto: Mystic Adventures are the sole exceptions.
  • Kid Hero: Most of the main characters are teenagers that take on the superhero identities that were originally used by adults.
  • Let Me Get This Straight...: Mobius to Loki after hearing about the latter's adventure.
Mobius: So, let me get this straight. You've been recruiting anomalies from across the Multiverse. Namely a Spider-Man that got Isekai'd, a boy that gained the power of Thor, some Samurai kid that got a Symbiote, a version of Captain America that can use magic, a Ninja boy who became Sorcerer Supreme and...Oh yeah, a pervert that became the embodiment to the Spirit of Vengeance. You teamed up all this people together, you went and fought against the Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff, you stopped her from using the Darkhold and you somehow saved the Multiverse?
  • The Multiverse: Each fic takes place in their own separate universe, their stories only intersecting when a Crisis Crossover occurs.
  • Running Gag: Several of the Spider-Man centric stories would start with the "Alright, let's do this one last time" line like in the Spider-Man: Spider-Verse movie trilogy.
  • Shared Universe: It's revealed that Highschool DxD: Spirit of Vengeance and Jujutsu Kaisen: The Spider's Curse both take place in the same universe. Other series include Tekken: Born Again, Bleach: Midnight, The Testament of Sister New Devil: Cursed Hero, Baki: The Immortal Grappler and Black Lagoon: Valley of Death.
  • Spared By Adaptation: Multiple series has this where certain characters survived their canon deaths.
    • For the MCU, Tony Stark avoided his death after Peter took his place in using the Infinity Gauntlet to destroy Thanos.
    • Raynare from High School D×D was able to avoid her fate and performed a Heel–Face Turn.
    • Kyojuro Rengoku avoided his death in the Mugen Train Arc thanks to Venom's Healing Factor.
    • Junpei Yoshino survived his fate and became the Spot.
    • In Ben 10 Ultimate Heroes, using Clockwork, Ben reverses Coulson's injuries, saving his life.
  • The Stinger: Later series would implement this.
    • In The Rising of the Shield Hero - The Man Out of Time, Glass and her group encounter Aultcray Zemo who wants to form an alliance with them to destroy the Heroes and save their people.
    • In Part 1 of Danmachi: The Last King Season 4, Beta Ray Bill finally appears and goes deeper into the Dungeon to rescue Bell and Ryuu. Along the way, he discovers Mjölnir and actually picks it up.
  • What If?: The main premise.
    • "The Princess and the Spider" follows the MCU Spider-Man being transported to the world of Re:Zero after his death in Avengers: Infinity War.
    • "Dark Fury" has Tanjiro finding the Venom symbiote and forming a bond with it.
    • "The Spirit of Vengeance" is Issei (not having the Red Dragon Emperor Booster Gear) being turned into the Ghost Rider by Lady Mephisto.
    • "Mystic Adventures" has Naruto being trained under Doctor Strange.
    • "Armored Adventures is Izuku Midoriya becoming Iron-Man.
    • "The Last King" has Bell Cranel discovering Thor's Hammer, Mjolnir.
    • "The First Avengers" has Captain America joining Joseph Joestar in fighting the Pillar-Men while having to deal with Red Skull and Hydra. Surprisingly, Captain America avoids turning into a Human Popsicle and gets to marry Peggy Carter.
    • The "Spiderverse Saga" follows the premise of either Spider characters becoming one of the protagonists of the anime or anime characters becoming Spider-Men.
  • "Will Return" Caption: Phase 3 will employ this.
    • Demon Slayer: Dark Fury Season 3 ends with "Venom will Return" along with foreshadowing of old and new Venoms.
    • The Rising of the Shield Hero: The Man Out of Time ends on this.
    • Interestingly, Phase 2 will have one in Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Spider's Thesis where the series ends with "Shinji and the Eva Spiders will Return".
