This fic contains the following tropes:
- Bullying the Dragon: Subverted. Levi gave Eren a very brutal No-Holds-Barred Beatdown and people started to fear he might transformed into the Hulk in retaliation but it didn't happened because Eren isn't angry at all. Levi used this as proof about Eren's control over his transformations.
- Chest Burster: Hulk's official appearance is when it bursts out of the Attack Titan's chest cavity.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: The Attack Titan was taking out Titans left and right but when it undergone its Hulk form, to say it enacted a slaughter would be an understatement.
- Dead Man Writing: The series begins with reading through Eren's memoirs, stating that if anyone is reading this, either humanity hasn't destroyed itself or maybe they did.
- Destructive Savior: While Hulk is technically on the humans' side, that doesn't make him no less destructive as the Titans. A case shown when after the Colossal Titan disappears, a frustrated Hulk takes it out on the town though thankfully people had been evacuated long ago.
- Dirty Coward: Eren lampshades on how the Colossal Titan immediately disappears after being overwhelmed by the Hulk. Makes sense considering the latter's true identity.
- Horrifying the Horror: The first confrontation between the Hulk and the Colossal Titan results in the latter disappearing after being hit one by time by the green monster.
- In Spite of a Nail: Although Annie was captured, she still enters into her crystalline prison thanks to the Leader's help.
- Metamorphosis Monster: Hange Zoë hypothesizes that the Attack Titan was a cocoon stage similar to that of a caterpillar's and the Hulk is the completed form.
- Mook Horror Show: The Hulk proceeded to kill and maim waves of Titans.
- Mythology Gag:
- The story describing the Hulk as a counter to Titans mirrors Tony Stark's lines to Loki about the Hulk in The Avengers (2012).
- From the same film, Hulk uses the Puny God line only changing it to "Puny Titan".
- Neck Snap: The Hulk punches a Titan so hard that its head rotate to a 180 degrees.
- Point of Divergence: The Hulk's actions not only save most of the Levi Squad's lives but also incapacitate the Female Titan/Annie Leonhart to be apprehended by the Survey Corps.
- The Power of Hate: Eren pouring all his blood and sweat into his training in joining the Survey Corps has been solely fueled by his desire to get revenge on the Titans that ate his mother and ruined his life. This rage would take a physical form through the Hulk.
- Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: Hulk's signature line is "Hulk Smash" which Hange Zoë lampshades on.Hange Zoë: You really like saying smash a lot.
- Revenge: Eren's whole motivation which is transferred into the Hulk.Hulk: Hulk...Titan...Die....
- Spared By Adaptation: Most of the Levi Squad survives the Female Titan's assault thanks to Hulk intervening.
