The alpha werewolf of the pack Mason was part of who comes to Mystic Falls in search of him.
- Alas, Poor Villain: While she was an antagonist, it's hard not to feel sorry for her when she gets sacrificed by Klaus.
- Asshole Victim: An antagonist in season 2 who tortured Caroline and killed Rose, but gets used as a Human Sacrifice by Klaus.
- Dark Action Girl: She is very strong and a capable fighter.
- Fur Against Fang: She's a werewolf who has a particular dislike of vampires.
- Jerkass: Jules was a complete bitch and she showed no remorse for hurting Rose.
- Lack of Empathy: She shows zero remorse when she discovered that Rose was dying of her werewolf bite, or that she had innocents killed when she went berserk fighting Damon.
- The Leader: She's the alpha werewolf of her pack.
- Mama Bear: She's protective of her other pack members, and wants Revenge on Damon due to him killing Mason.
- The Mentor: Under Mason's request, she mentors Tyler on the ways of a werewolf.
- Only One Name: Her only known name is Jules and her full name is never given.
- Smug Super: She's incredibly proud and arrogant of her werewolf abilities, and looks down on humans and even vampires. She even believes she can fully control herself as a wolf in the fullmoon (she can't).

Richard Lockwood's younger brother and Tyler's uncle. He's also a werewolf a member of Jules' Pack and comes to Mystic Falls to assist Katherine.

- Character Death: He was killed by Stefan while trying to capture Elena for her blood.
- Fur Against Fang: Just like his lover, he's a werewolf with a special enmity against vampires.
- Jerkass: Clearly despises vampires, gleefully tortured Caroline while she was his prisoner, and was overall very inclined to use violent methods.
- Only One Name: He's only known by the name Brady and his full name is never given.
- Torture Technician: He helped Jules kidnap Caroline and tortured her with wooden bullets and a watergun filled with vervain water.

- Character Death: He was killed by Elijah when he purges Jules' pack.
- Fur Against Fang: Just like his lover, he's a werewolf with a special enmity against vampires.

- Smug Snake: He's just as arrogant as Jules, but doesn't really have the strength to back it up. When Elijah shows up and slaughters the pack, he just cowers and hides.
- Torture Technician: Sadistically tortures and kills Alaric.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: Dies on the episode he's introduced.

The leader of a Werewolf pack that Klaus tries to take over and turn them all into hybrids.
- Came Back Wrong: To say Klaus' attempt to turn her into a Hybrid went wrong would be putting it lightly, as she becomes catatonic and starts crying Tears of Blood, and when he snaps out of it he goes berserk and tries to attack Klaus, forcing her to kill her permanently.
- Forced Transformation: Klaus gives her the choice to join him or die, and she'd much rather die than be turned into a vampire. Unfortunately, he was lying and he forcefully feeds her his blood before killing her
- Interspecies Romance: Her lover is a human, who stays in her werewolf pack to be with her.
- Killed Off for Real: Killed twice by Klaus, once to turn her into a hybrid, then when she went berserk and attacked him, with the second death being permanent.
- The Leader: She's the alpha of her werewolf pack.
- Only One Name: She's only known as Paige and his full name is never given.
- Red Shirt: Doesn't get time to show much of her personality before being killed off by Klaus.
- Sacrificial Lamb: She dies to establish Klaus still needs more from Elena/Katherine in order to have his hybrid werewolves, else they will Came Back Wrong.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: Dies in the episode she's introduced.

A human member of Paige's werewolf pack.
- Only One Name: He's only known as Derek and his full name is never given.
- Red Shirt: Doesn't get time to show much of his personality before being killed off by Klaus.
- Token Human: The only human in Paige's werewolf pack, due to being her boyfriend. Unfortunately for him, this makes him into a bloodbag when Klaus takes over the pack and needs human blood for his hybrids.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: Dies in the episode he's introduced.
- What Happened to the Mouse?: Klaus killed him when he no longer had a use for him, but since he had Klaus' blood in him, he should have become a vampire, but he's never mentioned or shows up again.

A werewolf member of Paige's werewolf pack.
- Came Back Wrong: To say Klaus' attempt to turn him into a Hybrid went wrong would be putting it lightly, as he becomes catatonic and starts crying Tears of Blood, and when he snaps out of it he goes berserk and runs away, forcing Stefan to track him down and put him down.
- Cold-Blooded Torture: Stefan tortures him by using him as a dart board and throwing wolfsbane-coated darts all over his body every time he refused to answer a question.
- Killed Off for Real: Killed by Klaus to turn him into a hybrid, and then put down permanently by Stefan once he went berserk and attacked Damon.
- Sacrificial Lamb: He dies to establish Klaus still needs more from Elena/Katherine in order to have his hybrid werewolves, else they will Came Back Wrong.
- Trauma Conga Line: In the little time we get to see him, poor guy gets his two female friends killed gruesomely, is tortured by Klaus and Stefan and forcefully turned into Klaus' first attempt at spawning a Hybrid. Then his entire pack gets similarly turned against their will, and they all agonizingly turn into mindless berserkers who have to be killed off or just die of their own. Ouch.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: Only lasts for two episodes before he gets Killed Off for Real.
Tyler's Pack

"I have no one else to tell. I'm sorry about earlier. It's just, I'm alone with this. What's gonna happen to me? I'm gonna turn on the next full moon, and I won't be able to stop it. I'm scared."
Matt's best friend, though the two couldn't be more different - Tyler seems to be nothing more than a Jerk Jock, and the son of the town's Mayor. But his parents are very unpleasant people... and Tyler has actually inherited more from his father than just womanizing ways and a hair-trigger temper... The Lockwood bloodline are actually potential werewolves, and following Katherine's plan in the second season Tyler becomes a full werewolf himself.

A werewolf estranged from her clan who came to Mystic Falls. She helps Tyler break his sire bond with Klaus and form his own pack.

A hybrid werewolf that was forced to be part of Klaus pack, but broke out of her sire bond to him with Tyler and Hayley's help.
- Affectionate Nickname: She's nicknamed Kim.
- Defector from Decadence: He used to hybrid from Klaus' pack, but defected and overcome the Sire Bond with the help of Tyler and Hayley.
- Hybrid Monster: She's a hybrid vampire/werewolf sired from Klaus' bloodline.
- Off with Her Head!: She's killed by Klaus via decapitation.
- Only One Name: She's only known as Kimberley and her full name is never given.
- Painful Transformation: She has to transform over and over again in order to break her sire bond to Klaus, a process she describes as breaking every bone in her body over and over again.
- Rebellious Spirit: She thinks Tyler and Hayley's methods of breaking out of the sire bond are too severe, and rebels against them when they try to force Adrian to go through with it.
- The Starscream: She challenges Tyler's position as the alpha of the pack, but he defeats her and establishes himself as the alpha.
- Targeted to Hurt the Hero: She attacks and tortures Caroline in order to show her defiance to Tyler's command in the pack and to hurt Klaus who's in love with Caroline.

A hybrid werewolf that was forced to be part of Klaus pack, but broke out of her sire bond to him with Tyler and Hayley's help.
- Defector from Decadence: He used to hybrid from Klaus' pack, but defected and overcome the Sire Bond with the help of Tyler and Hayley.
- The Generic Guy: Doesn't have much of a personality other than hanging around Kim and following her orders.
- Hybrid Monster: He's a hybrid vampire/werewolf sired from Klaus' bloodline.
- Only One Name: He's only known as Adrian and his full name is never given.
- Painful Transformation: He has to transform over and over again in order to break her sire bond to Klaus. Unlike Kim and Tyler, he doesn't have the Nerves of Steel to take it and remains sired to Slaus for much longer.

A hybrid werewolf that was forced to be part of Klaus pack, but broke out of her sire bond to him with Tyler and Hayley's help.
- Defector from Decadence: He used to hybrid from Klaus' pack, but defected and overcome the Sire Bond with the help of Tyler and Hayley.
- Hybrid Monster: He's a hybrid vampire/werewolf sired from Klaus' bloodline.
- Only One Name: He's only known as Chris and his full name is never given.
- Red Shirt: Doesn't get much personality before being killed off.
- Sacrificial Lamb: He's killed by Jeremy and established as a threat as a Vampire Hunter.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: He dies before his personality can be established. Even his name is only learned posthumously when Tyler laments his death.
