Toran Republic
For Apple and Futch, see Suikoden Recurring Characters. Caesar Silverberg
- Brilliant, but Lazy: He's a Silverberg, part of the Suikoden Badass Family of strategists, and skilled enough that veteran tactician Apple defers to his planning instead. But he's also a slacker and even looks sleepy
- It Runs in the Family: His last name is Silverberg, and with one exception, every mainline game in the series has a Silverberg working as The Strategist for at least one of the sides. The family as a whole is that tactically gifted.
- Non-Action Guy: He's a strategist, not a fighter. He's also quite lazy, so he probably wouldn't help even if he was a fighter.
- Teen Genius: The youngest strategist in the mainline titles, most sources place his age at sixteen or so.
Augustine
Vincent De Boule. The prize was the rose brooch he wears on his chest.
An aristocrat from Gregminster, Toran Republic. Six years ago, he won a male beauty contest hosted by - The Fighting Narcissist: He's III's only Narcissist character — the first, second and fourth games all feature two or three.
- Something about a Rose: His prize-possession is a the Rose Brooch, having won it in a male beauty contest.
Emily
- Badass Adorable: Emily has a very high number of hits per turn.
- Spin-Offspring: Of Ronnie Bell and Mose from the original Suikoden. While not a towering amazon like her mother, she's just as strong.
Fred Maximillian
- Combination Attack: Can perform the "Maximillian Attack" (with Rico) and the "Adonis (Pretty Boy) Attack" (with Franz and Futch).
- Legacy Character: Captain of the Maximillian Knights, which his grandfather once led.
- Shock and Awe: Joins with a Sword of Thunder Rune.
- Spin-Offspring: Fred is the grandson of Maximillian from I and II.

- Bifauxnen: Rico, who even has a boy's name.
- Bodyguard Crush: Rico appears to have a crush for Fred.
- Combination Attack: Rico can perform the "Maximillian Attack" with Fred.
- Making a Splash: Joins with a Water Rune.
- Spin-Offspring: Rico's (grand?)father is implied to be Sancho.
Sharon
- Combination Attack: Performs Dragon Knight attack A&B with Futch and Bright. Also has a combination attack with Emily and Sanae Y.
- Spin-Offspring: Of Milia from I.
Twaikin
- Our Dwarves Are All the Same: Is a dwarf and loves to dig tunnels.
- Power at a Price: Has a Warrior Rune, which switches half of repel capability to attack power, attached.
- Shovel Strike: His weapon. It's named "First Dig", "Second Dig" and "Big Dig".
- Stone Wall: Has the highest HP in the game.
Dunan Republic
For Lily and Tuta, see Suikoden Recurring Characters. Bright
- Ascended Extra: Showed up for one scene in the second game where he hatched and was officially adopted and named by Futch. In Suikoden III, he's a full-fledged party member.
- Gentle Giant: He's a towering, white dragon... who imprinted on and was raised by Futch.
- He's All Grown Up: Remember that cute little baby dragon from II? He definitely grew up.
- Non-Human Sidekick: To Futch, in the previous game.
- Our Dragons Are Different: He is based on the western-style dragons: scaly, reptilian and breaths fire.
- Playing with Fire: Bright shoot Fireballs for long-range attacks and has the Spreading Flame Rune.
- Power Up Mount: If you place Futch and him on the same team, Futch will ride and attack simultaneously with him.
Landis
- Evil Laugh: A very creepy "Yuh huh huh..."
- Eye Patch Of Power: Well, it's a mix between an eyepatch and blindfold since you can still see one eye.
- Luck-Based Mission: He randomly joins in battle if you wander a specific area with an open slot in your party. You can get him without meaning to in the very first battle, or you can spend over an hour running in circles without success.
- Madman in the Attic: After recruited, he stays hidden in Budehuc Castle underground cave.
- Sinister Scythe: He wields a scythe and uses it accordingly.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Of Sid from the second game. Some fans wonder if they're the same person.
- Winged Humanoid: He is a Winger.
