Main Characters
Jake
Jake is the former manager of Luna and recent widower who has now chose to work with a researcher to bring back his late wife.
- Anti-Hero: Jake is a soft-spoken and kind-hearted man who tries to help those he cared about, but he will kill as many succubi as he needs to bring back his late wife. It doesn't help that he makes them fall in love to help his work.
- The Casanova: Through usage of Carnal Essence, Jake's able to improve his skills, allowing him to communicate and eventually win multiple succubi over.
- Chekhov's Skill: Jake was mentioned to have been taught by his father how to use a rifle. He is seen wielding one during the earliest cutscenes, shooting a stranger assaulting his wife.
- Contrasting Sequel Main Character: Faust was much more overtly antagonistic and selfish in his work, very openly detesting his makeshift daughters and showing no remorse when it came to disposing of them. Jake is a lot more reserved and hesitant when it comes to what he has to do to resurrect Luna, as well as being willing to try and connect with the succubi emotionally, to the point he can choose to run off with one instead of bringing Luna back. Not to mention that Faust is heavily implied to be stuck in a time loop of his own creation compared to Jake unambiguously dying at the end.
- Determinator: Played With. Jake is slightly reluctant to work with Philip and the Hallowed but he'll do anything for Luna.
- Hiding Behind Your Bangs: At least one of Jake's eyes is always covered by his hair, though it changes depending on which way he's facing. This helps indicate that Jake is both demure and deceptive, willing to make deals with demons and then sacrifice them in pursuit of reuniting with his beloved. When he's doing something emotional, such as sacrificing a succubus or bonding with one in conversation, it changes to regular bangs.
- Massive Numbered Siblings: It's mentioned that he is the eldest of five siblings in the official artbook.
- Seeks Another's Resurrection: Everything he does involving demon summoning and sacrifice is all to resurrect Luna.
- Sexual Karma: Jake is able to have sex once he's won a succubus heart, and the majority of the time, it is depicted as genuinely affectionate despite his partners being literal demons.
Phillip
The mysterious man that informs Jake about demon summoning, presenting him with a letter from Luna in order to convince him to go through with it.
- Authority Equals Asskicking: As the current king of succubi, he is a very strong fighter.
- Archnemesis Dad: Mother in his case. He hated his mother and wanted to overthrow her.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: He took the form of a human and manipulated Jake to get what he wants.
- The Casanova: As the king of succubus, he has a harem of them.
- Evil Mentor: He's the man that properly instructs Jake how to summon and sacrifice succubi, and his motives are far less noble than Jake's.
- For Science!: He claims that the reason he's helping Jake summon demons and ruin lives is for research.
- Satanic Archetype: Specifically to Lucifer in his case, based on the snake-vest and slit mouth.
- Secret Identity: His true identity is Asmodeus, the Incubus King.
- Walking Spoiler: Phillip's true history and backstory are major revelations during the main plot.
Luna
Jake's beloved wife and a succubus leading a rebellion against Asmodeus, who died from a stranger's assault.
- Authority Equals Asskicking: As Yrellea, she was the queen of Succubus who lead a rebellion. Empowered by the Carnal Essence from Jake, she was able to wipe out Asmodeus.
- Belated Love Epiphany: Realizes that she truly did love Jake. This happens not only after she'd already killed him, but causes her to become a human, likely ridding her of the essence and power she could've used to bring him back.
- The Chessmaster: She manipulated Jake and countless men to empower herself through seduction and marriage pacts.
- The Lost Lenore: Jake's immense love for her, even after her passing, is what motivates his current actions.
- Posthumous Character: She was murdered in the game's backstory.
- Pyrrhic Victory: In the ending where Jake manages to revive her, she succeeds in her rebellion to overthrow Asmodeus but it comes at the cost of her true love, Jake.
- Secret Identity: Her true identity is Yrellea, the Succubus Queen.
- Walking Spoiler: Initially presumed to just be Jake's motivation for his actions, her full backstory is a major spoiler.
Willard
The most influential businessman in Jake's town, and the owner of its Hotel.
- High-Class Glass: His portrait always depicts him with a monocle for his right eye.
- Light Is Not Good: Despite always wearing dapper white clothing, Willard willingly works alongside a Succubus to bring her back to life.
- The Napoleon: He is an extremely short man, and tries to compensate with his wealth and very tall hat.
Lady Aphrodite
A old woman who runs a brothel.
- Buxom Beauty Standard: Fitting her status as a Love Goddess, she has a noticeably larger chest that most women, including the succubi.
- Fanservice with a Smile: She intentionally dresses in revealing clothes as part of her job.
- Miss Kitty: She's a brothel mistress who's notably older-looking than the women she employs.

A young woman who runs a 'questionable' school for young girls
Madam M
A young woman who runs a school to teach young girls' manners.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: The blue to Mistress X's red. It is noted in the artbook.
Demons
Succubi
The Succubi Jake summons up from the demon realm to help him resurrect his wife. In General
- Ascended Extra: Berith, Ornia, Kalys, and Shyasta were each the focus of their own short comic in the days preceding the game's release. The comics were then compiled as free DLC.
- Body Horror: Some of the succubi have this to a mild degree, although no matter what inhuman features they have, they don't have any negative impact to their ability to gather Carnal Essence.
- Character Development: Jake can help each of the succubi go through this, and it's required to get their good ends, as otherwise their character flaws remain when they turn human, leaving them not very well-adjusted women.
- Second Love: Each succubi has two endings where they become this for Jake; one where he helps the succubus overcome her character flaws and result in a happy relationship, and one where they become human, but have issues.
- Succubi and Incubi: They are succubi, and Jake is using them to collect Carnal Essence from men they sleep with.
- Technicolour People: Most of them have skin colour that isn't associated with humans.
- World of Technicolor Hair: As with their skin, most have unnatural hair colors, such as the Orinas' green hair.
Berith
A species of succubi known for their pride. They were also known as the right-hand man of the first Succubus Queen.
- Control Freak: In her bad end, she ends up controlling Jake's life.
Kalys
A nervous species of succubi that was a prisoner in the Demon Realm.
- Blemished Beauty: One of the pre-release comics shows that one received her notable facial scar from another demon for even considering freedom in the human world. An official screenshot
shows that it's possible for Jake to tell her nothing's wrong with her despite it. - Happiness in Slavery: Subverted. It initially appears that she's fine with her status as a prisoner, but dialogues reveal that Kalys are simply clueless and lack enough self-esteem to stand up for themselves.
- Slave Collar: She has one as her nature as a prisoner to another succubi. She loses it if she becomes human.
Taura
A species of succubi known for their short temper and love for fighting.
- Amazonian Beauty: She's noticeably larger than the other succubi (and Jake), yet still looks good enough to be a succubi.
- Covered with Scars: Unlike a majority of the succubi, Tauras are covered with battle scars.
- Domestic Abuse: Should she turn human and not bond with him, she will often pummel Jake into a bloody pulp out of frustration.
- The Lad-ette: Unlike most succubi that turn human, Tauras are the only ones that wear suspenders and clothing fitting for a boy.
- Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: If her flaws are fixed, a Taura would devote their strength to protect Jake.
- Playing with Fire: Tauras are able to generate fireballs from their bare hands.
- Unfulfilled Purpose Misery: Should Jake have a strong enough bond, he asks what else she wants to do should she never be able to challenge Yrellea.
Ornia
A species of succubi known for their envy for others.
- Absurdly Sharp Claws: Instead of regular fingers, their hands have extended claws with blood-red tips.
- Blind Obedience: They are absolutely obsessed with their master.
- Driven by Envy: Their defining trait is being envious.
- Too Many Mouths: They have an additional large mouth in the back of their heads.
Cozbi
A species of succubi known for their lust for money.
- Buried Alive: Both she and Jake end up like this in her bad end, as Jake allows her to collect so much stuff that it's enough to crush the both of them.
- Greed: The deadly sin they're defined by, leading to hoarding valuable possessions.
- Trash of the Titans: Cozbi's rampant greed leads to her collecting enough treasures to potentially bury her and Jake in her bad end.
Agash
A species of succubi known for their love of order and discipline.
- Blinding Bangs: Her human form has these in place of her blindfold.
- Blindfolded Vision: She's still able to perform her duties despite having a blindfold on her eyes.
- The Unreveal: She never reveals to Jake, and the players, what's underneath her blindfold.
- Yandere: She turns into one in her bad ending, tying him up in bed so he can never leave.
Dialen
A species of succubi known for their love for humans.
Luzbel
A species of succubi known for their love for knowledge and exchanging such.
- Blue Is Calm: A borderline case, as she has blue skin, and even in their bad ending, Luzbel doesn't beat or abuse Jake unlike the majority of other succubi.
- Bookworm: Her kind loves to gain knowledge.
- The Comically Serious: Although Luzbel do crack a joke or two, their regular demeanor is this in comparison to the eccentricities of other succubi.
- Glasses Are Sexy: Luzbel are noted to have these in spades.
- Intrigued by Humanity: She's deeply interested in human culture, human history, and the human condition - the book she has with her at all times is full of notes she's made about them. You have to encourage this interest (instead of focusing the conversation onto demons/magic) to get her good ending.
Lyst
A species of succubi know for their lust.
- Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: She can't comprehend why people would choose to have sex with one person, even the one they love, instead of having sex with lots of different men.
- Happily Married: Although Lustful Cannot Comprehend Monogamy, should Jake spend time connecting emotionally with her, she will learn that a person could enjoy simply having sex with the ones they love, and will devote herself to Jake in her good ending.
- Naughty Tentacles: Her most notable trait is lustfulness, and she has tentacles around her chest acting as brassier, which also symbolize her association with sirens.
- Pink Is Erotic: One of the most lustful breed of succubus and she has pink hair, skin and eyes! In her human form, she wears a classy dress of varying shades of pink.
- Really Gets Around: In her bad end, she retains her immense libido, causing her to cheat on Jake.
Hala
A species of succubi known for their insatiable hunger.
- Belly Mouth: Her "tummy mouth" has a mind of its own to the point it eats Jake's furniture.
- Big Beautiful Woman: She's one both in her demonic form and also in her human form.
- Blinding Bangs: She has these both in her demon and human forms.
- Extreme Omnivore: She'll eat anything that's edible, and even things that aren't edible like Jake's chairs.
- I'm a Humanitarian: In her bad ending, she's seen eating Jake with his severed head on a plate and holding his severed arm in her hand.
Bastet
A species of succubi known for their skill in gaining artifacts and knowledge pertaining to the human world.
- Ancient Egypt: Decked out in a fanservicey outfit reflecting this general aesthetic (e.g. a large, gold-lined necklace and headdress), and the species name is identical to that of the Ancient Egyptian cat goddess. It's even more invoked in her good ending as she and Jake go to an Egyptian setting for further adventure.
- And the Adventure Continues: In her good ending, she and Jake go off in search of further adventure in Egypt.
- The Scrounger: She's regarded as this by other kinds of succubi: resourceful, canny, good at finding things other succubi are into (like bones), providing information, and doing favours in general.
- Sexy Cat Person: They're catlike succubi with long, thin tails, clawed hands and feet, and Cute Little Fangs.
Nocti
A species of succubi known for their hedonistic lifestyle and incredible strength.
- The Alcoholic: She frequently indulges in alcoholic beverages and consuming Carnal Essence as part of her hedonism.
- Beware My Stinger Tail: Unlike most Succubi, Nocti as a whole possess syringe-like tails that can directly suck out Carnal Essence without needing the standard method.
- Comfort Food: Drinks in her case. Noctis love to drink alcoholic beverages and, should Jake fail in advising her properly, Nocti will drink every single day like a maniac upon turning human.
- Functional Addict: Due to their immense fortitude, only the strongest beverage can even make them slightly intoxicated. They will keep on drinking until they passed out only to wake up and continue drinking again.
- The Hedonist: Nocti beat at the sound of their own drum, drinking and sleeping and generally doing whatever they please whenever they please.
- Purple Is Powerful: Noctis are known to be the strongest of all succubi, surpassing Taura and even Enyo and they have purple hair and their body parts are purple in color.
- Sleep Cute: In her good ending, Nocti will forsake her horrible lifestyle and spend their time with Jake, preferring to hold him in her sleep.
- Stranger Safety: Played with and eventually Subverted. Noctis will simply take whatever meal offered by their supposedly friend, the Kasu, as part of their experimentation. If the Players get it right Nocti can learn not to take food and drinks from people they barely know courtesy of Jake's advice.
- Stepford Smiler: Downplayed. Conversation with Nocti can reveal that the Nocti doesn't feel comfortable with Kasu but simply doesn't know why and simply accepts it and move along.
- Unwitting Test Subject: Noctis are used as lab rats by Kasu for their research about Carnal Essence and the Noctis involved doesn't even know because they were drugged beforehand.
Enyo
A species of succubi known for their lust for blood and violence, surpassing the Taura by a great deal.
- Armor-Piercing Response: Has these imposed and delivered unto others. Should players get it right, they are able to ask Jake what is the difference between him and them as he killed for his wife and they for their lord, rendering him silence.
- Ax-Crazy: Their lust for violence and blood surpasses even the Taura.
- Boyish Short Hair: Has these as a common feature.
- The Dragon: As a species, the Enyo are the enforcers of Asmodeus, shortly after his ascension to the throne.
- Expy: It was revealed in an interview with the developers that her design is inspired by a combination of popular characters, including the Xenomorph, Kamen Rider Kuuga, and even Trigon of Teen Titans.
- Meaningful Name: Enyo is the Greek word for violence, and is also used to collectively call the Three Furies (Erinyes), matching with their bloodthirsty nature.
- Power Fist: A magical variant as her giant fists were one of the many gifts given to her kind by Asmodeus.
- Plain Jane: Arguably as Enyo transformation to a human caused her to lose her [1] and tail, looking the most normal looking amongst all succubus turned woman.

A species succubus dedicated to the studies of Carnal Essence and very much enjoys it
- Nerds Are Virgins: Heavily Subverted. As a succubus, this comes with the territory and one of their request when summoned is to ask Jake to assign them to the local bordello.
- Mad Scientist: The living embodiment of it as this even applies to their entire species.
- Token Evil Teammate: Arguably. While most succubus species dislike one another, they never went as far as experimenting on members of other succubi species without their permission
