    Nightly Procession Digimon

Level:Child (Kokuwamon), Adult (Kokatorimon, Unimon, Kiwimon & Thunderballmon), Armor (Elephamon & Flybeemon)
Attribute: Data (Kokuwamon, Kokatorimon, Kiwimon & Thunderballmon), Vaccine (Unimon), Free (Elephamon & Flybeemon)

A group of Digimon that enjoyed racing, they were dragged into a death race by Sistermon Ciel and left with no choice but to race against her if they didn't wish to be absorbed by MetalFantomon. They are comprised of an Elephamon, a Kokatorimon, a Unimon, two Kokuwamon, three Kiwimon, four Thunderballmon, and six Flybeemon.

  • And I Must Scream: Anyone who is caught by MetalFantomon or tries to quit the race is absorbed into MetalFantomon's scythe, and can do little more than beg to be let out. Such a fate befalls Unimon, one of the Flybeemon, one of the Thunderballmon, and Elephamon.
  • Claimed by the Supernatural: They all bear a red skull mark somewhere on their bodies, a symbol that they are forced to abide by the contract with MetalFantomon.
  • Mr. Exposition: Elephamon explains the rules of the race to the main characters.
  • Uncertain Doom: The remaining Digimon in the race rush into the portal that leads back to the Digital World, but were they able to escape from Sistermon Ciel and MetalFantomon? Were they eventually absorbed into the latter's scythe or are they still running? As of now, no clear resolution for them has been given.

    Sealsdramon's Victims
Voiced by: Yasuhiro Takato (Gorimon)
Level: Adult (Gorimon & Flymon), Armor (Salamandamon), Child (Monodramon)
Attribute: Data (Gorimon & Flymon), Virus (Salamandamon), Vaccine (Monodramon)

Several of Sealsdramon's 1000 targets. The victims shown were a Gorimon, a Salamandamon, a Flymon, and two Monodramon.

  • Innocent Bystander: They were simply living their lives until Sealsdramon killed them.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: One of the Monodramon as they're eating.
Monodramon #1: I hate to admit it, but this is one thing this world does right!
Monodramon #2 It's nice and fre- *Stab!*

    Koemon

"Let's play."

Voiced by: Makoto Tsumura
Level: Child
Attribute: Virus
Attacks: Mischievous Hoop

A monkey Digimon that was mistaken as a Zashiki-warashi haunting an ocean resort.

  • Breather Episode: He's a rather harmless but mischievous Digimon whose debut episode was sandwiched between Episode 13 and Episode 15, the former where the Serial Killer Sealsdramon and GulusGammamon first appear, and the latter where Phelesmon sets up a deathtrap to turn women into stone and the threat level of enemy Digimon in general starts skyrocketing.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: He's a Virus-type Digimon, yet he only acted out because of Granny's disappearance, and even then, his pranks are harmless at best and annoying at worst.
  • Mischief-Making Monkey: The supposed Zashiki-warashi actually turns out to be a lonely Child level monkey Digimon seeking attention.
  • Not Evil, Just Misunderstood: He's less evil and more just lonely and wants to play with someone since Granny is preoccupied elsewhere. At worst, it just acted as The Prankster when the other guests wouldn't play with him but was willing to make up for it after the kids manage to make fireworks for him, returning Kiyoshiro's underwear to him at the very end.
  • The Prankster: Pulled pranks on resort guests, due to an elderly member of the staff called Granny being unable to watch fireworks with him. Most of his pranks were rather mundane, mainly just making messes and pulling the drain on a bath. The worst he did was steal Kiyoshiro's underwear.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: His eyes glow red when in the dark, making him look pretty creepy and giving the impression that he's a threat like other malicious Digimon. Once the group discovers his identity, his eyes lose the glow and stay innocent-looking for the rest of his episode.
  • Zashiki-warashi: Was mistaken for one.

    Hawkmon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hawkmon_7.png
Voiced by: Rika Nagae, Arisa Sekine
Level: Child -> Armor
Attribute: Free

Two Hawkmon who befriended a human child named Kazuma. They were the ones who informed Hiro and the others of Kazuma's disappearance.

  • Spanner in the Works: Not only were they the ones who informed Hiro of Petermon's kidnappings, but they also play a vital role in stopping him by evolving into Orcamon and canceling out Petermon's whistle. This also inspires the other captive Digimon to evolve as well.

    Petermon's Victims
Level: Child -> Adult
Attribute: Virus (Elecmon (Violet), Gazimon, Hagurumon), Vaccine (Bearmon), Data (Kamemon) -> Data (Thunderballmon, Gawappamon), Vaccine (Hanumon, Gryzmon), Virus (Guardromon)

A group of Child-level Digimon (Elecmon (Violet), Gazimon, Bearmon, Kamemon, and Hagurumon) kidnapped by Petermon and forced into his Never-ever Land. All of them would eventually evolve into their Adult levels (Thunderballmon, Hanumon, Gryzmon, Gawappamon, and Guardromon, respectively) after witnessing the two Hawkmon evolving into Orcamon, as they wished to grow up as well.

  • Back for the Dead: The Hanumon in this group may or may not be the one that died in episode 31; Angoramon implies that they knew each other.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Elecmon (Violet) was on the receiving end of this from Petermon, who, during a friendly game of soccer, threatened to kill them when they simply wondered about being taller, showing his true nature that he was willing to kill Child-level Digimon if they have the slightest mention about evolving into Adult levels.

    CaptainHookmon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/captainhookmon.png
Voiced by: Kenyuu Horiuchi
Level: Perfect
Attribute: Vaccine

A Sea Man Digimon who offers to have Petermon join him on his flying ship.

  • Deus ex Machina: He literally shows up out of nowhere, confirms to Petermon that Hiro isn't lying, offers Petermon to join him on an adventure which Petermon took, and left with him.
  • Irony: His basis, Captain Hook, is well known for being Peter Pan's Arch-Enemy, the two both invoking The Only One Allowed to Defeat You in many adaptations. Here, CaptainHookmon's arrival is what solidifies Petermon's Heel–Face Turn, as he offers Petermon the chance to join his crew, and the subsequent sword duel is depicted as them just having fun rather than a duel to the death.

    Morphomon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/morphomon.png
Voiced by: Hitomi Owada
Level: Child
Attribute: Vaccine
Attacks: Rinrin Therapy

An insect Digimon. They got taken hostage by a researcher as they played in the net, and to free themself, they let loose their Rinrin Therapy, as red scales, into the Real World to seek help. However, the scales instead drove every Digimon that came in contact with them insane. Clockmon would ultimately rescue them.

  • Bad Powers, Good People: A cute and friendly insect Digimon who only wanted some help, but their scales have the ability to mutate other Digimon into berserk insect types. Downplayed, in that Morphomon's state of mind implies that the scales themselves are harmless when it's calm and the satellite they were imprisoned in was distorting the intent of the signal.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Any Digimon who touches Morphomon's red scales will grow insect-like features on their body, have glowing red eyes, become extremely aggressive to humans, make hissing sounds, and crawl and fly around to attack anyone near them. When the brainwashing is snapped off, the Digimon acts as if that never happened.
  • Non-Malicious Monster: Morphomon genuinely only sought help by releasing their Rinrin Therapy scales into the Real World. Instead, due to their mental state, they sent every Digimon that came into contact with them into a frenzy, and nearly sent every Digimon in the entire Real World into the state.

    Herissmon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/herissmon_3.png
Voiced by: Hirokazu Miyahara
Level: Child
Attribute: Data

A small hedgehog Digimon living in the subway tunnels beneath the mall.

  • Mr. Exposition: He's the one who informs Hiro, Ruli, Gammamon, and Angoramon about the Kodokugumon swarm infesting the mall, and tells them how to get to the mall from there.

    Meicoomon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/meicoomon.png
Voiced by: Chō
Level: Adult
Attribute: Unknown

One of the Betsumon's victims who stole his identity. Not to be confused with the Meicrackmon Vicious Mode in Episode 50.

  • Broken Bird: Due to a Betsumon stealing Meicoomon’s identity, he becomes broken and depressed.
  • Loss of Identity: He suffered an identity crisis after a Betsumon stole his identity. He becomes unsure if he is real or not.
  • Mythology Gag: Just like in Tri, Meicoomon is shown as a lonely cat who lost what's precious to them.
  • No Body Left Behind: After having his last conversation with Gammamon, Meicoomon disappears.

    Darcmon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/darcmon_6.png

Voiced by: Mitsuki Saiga
Level: Adult
Attribute: Vaccine

An angel Digimon that lost track of Manticoremon.

  • Adaptational Heroism: Much like Piccolomon before her, Darcmon's initial appearance in the anime was in the movie Digimon Frontier Movie "Island of Lost Digimon", where she underwent Adaptational Villainy and was one of the alter-egos of Murmukusmon that he used to manipulate a Civil War so he could use the slain Digimon as resources for his plans. Here, she's Truer to the Text, being an angelic Digimon simply looking for her lost servant/pet, Manticoremon, and gladly takes it back with her once the kids and their partners beat it, promising to keep a better eye on it.
  • Angelic Beauty: She's an angel Digimon and she's certainly a sight to behold.
  • I Gave My Word: She promises Ruli and Angoramon that she won't lose track of Manticoremon again, "on [her] honor as a Darcmon".
  • Weak Boss, Strong Underlings: Downplayed. As an angelic Digimon, Darcmon is certainly stronger than others of her level, but she is still just an Adult level. Her servant/pet however, Manticoremon, is at the Perfect level, and was able to quickly defeat both BetelGammamon and Thetismon, requiring the debut of Lamortmon to take it down. Justified in that, on their own, Manticoremon are mindless savage beasts and require angelic Digimon like Darcmon to keep them in control and give them direction, lest they attack everything around them in their hunger for Virus Digicores.

    Shadramon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shadramon_0.png

Voiced by: Nobuyuki Hiyama
Level: Armor
Attacks: Flare Buster

A dying insect Digimon who was implanted into the body of Kiyoshiro's friend by a Nanomon.

  • And I Must Scream: Being trapped within the body of a human causes him as much shock as the human that he was planted within. He's also aware that Nanomon is controlling him to attack the party but can't do much about it.
  • Back for the Dead: After Thetismon separates him from Tamotsu's body, he disintegrates instantly as he was intended to.
  • Body Horror: When he manifests fully from Tamotsu's body, Shadramon has his limbs, head, and wings sticking right out from it. It's not painful, but Shadramon was able to take over his mind, and Nanomon can control Shadramon by drilling into Tamotsu's ear.
  • Book Ends: His episode begins with him losing a battle on top of a hillside and dying at night, only to be "resurrected" by Nanomon. At the end of the episode, he's separated from Tamotsu by Thetismon and disintegrates on the same hill the next night.
  • Came Back Wrong: He was "resurrected" by Nanomon in Tamotsu's body moments before death, but his body is stuck within the human, with his limbs, wings, and head eventually sticking out from the human's body. When they're separated, he disintegrates in a matter of seconds as that was the only thing holding him together.
  • Extreme Omnivore: Shadramon used to scavenge the back alleys for trash to eat. He goes out for some on the night the party stays over at Tamotsu's house while still in his body, much to the human's shock when he finds trash all over his home the next morning.
  • Hand Blast: His Flare Buster shoots fireballs from his gauntlets.
  • Hope Spot: After Nanomon has been defeated, Thetismon uses Adieu World to separate Shadramon from Tamotsu's body. Tamotsu has been saved and Shadramon rejoices in being able to keep his life and memories... only for his body to resume rapidly dissolving into data, much to his horror and everyone's shock. He spends his last moments crying out in despair, with Mummymon sombrely noting that his fate of becoming a DigiTama is just the nature of all Digimon.
  • Playing with Fire: He's a fire insect Digimon who can create fireballs from his arms.

    Geremon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/keremon.png
Voiced by: Megumi Urawa

A group of mollusc Digimon camping next to the wedding site where the Chamblemon are kidnapping people to use as mushroom farms, seemingly having an interest in the mushroom Digimon. Turns out they're going after the Chamblemon to turn them into their own mushroom farms.

  • Adaptation Personality Change: According to the Digimon Reference Book, Geremon are normally somewhat dim and stubborn, repeatedly attacking stronger opponents despite their own low attack power and acting more like Leeroy Jenkins. These Geremon however are patient and fully aware of just how weak they are, using the main cast to beat the Chamblemon for them before rushing in to take the Chamblemon for themselves.
  • Always a Bigger Fish: The Chamblemon might have wanted to use humans as mushroom farms, but little do they know they're preyed upon by a bunch of Geremon who wants theirs too by turning the Chamblemon into one.
  • Batman Gambit: They kept tabs on the Chamblemon abducting the brides, yet didn't engage them at all, due to them likely being much stronger from consuming the harvested mushrooms. So they waited until they came across Hiro and the others, stronger individuals who would be able to stand up to and defeat the Chamblemon. One Geremon leads them to the hideout and disappears before the fight, and once the heroes have weakened the Chamblemon, the slug-like Digimon were able to swoop in and collect their prizes without a fuss.
  • Creepy Good: Well, 'good' in that their interests just so happen to align with that of the protagonists. They aided in the defeat of the Chamblemon because it benefited them, then snatched them away for their own uses (though it's not like the Chamblemon didn't deserve it). As for the creepy, just take a look at the face made by the one in the folder image.
  • The Horde: The one that led Angoramon and Espimon into the Chamblemon's lair isn't the only Geremon around. There's a group of them camping next to the wedding site.
  • Just Desserts: A variant of. They don't want to just eat the Chamblemon after they drag them away. They wanted to turn them into a mushroom plantation. Granted that the Chamblemon just kidnap people to brutally enslave and torture them for food, you won't be feeling sorry for them when it happens.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: The Chamblemon utterly freak out once the Geremon show up to take them away, crying and pleading for the heroes to rescue them. Given the painful torture they inflicted on Ruli, Hiro, and the many brides they kidnapped, along with ruining the weddings so many of their victims were looking forward to, one can't help but feel the Geremon were justified in inflicting the same fate on them.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Geremon, being of the same family as Numemon, are naturally weak even by Adult standards. What they lack in strength however they make up for in playing the long game, as they have one of them lead Angoramon and Espimon to the Chamblemon under the assumption the two of them could beat the Chamblemon. While those two fail, once Kiyoshiro and Jellymon show up on Ginryumon and do defeat them, the Geremon then proceed to use their noxious odor to distract the main cast, bum rush them, and then run off with the Chamblemon to keep for themselves.

The Voice (Major Unmarked spoilers)

Agumon (Black)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackgalgomon.png
BlackGalgomon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/blackgrowlmon_350x212.png
BlackGrowmon
Level: Child (Agumon (Black)), Adult (BlackGalgomon, BlackGrowmon)
Attribute: Virus (Agumon (Black), BlackGrowmon), Vaccine (BlackGalgomon)

A group of Digimon acting as mysterious watchers, they individually appear whenever GulusGammamon appears.

  • Ambiguous Situation: When all three reappear in Episode 59, each of them have a case of Red Eyes, Take Warning to go alongside their Glowing Eyes of Doom... something that wasn't the case beforehand, especially since none of these three Digimon naturally have red-colored eyes, with only BlackGalgomon's eyes remotely resembling red normally. Agumon (Black) and BlackGrowmon had glowing eyes in their first appearances, but they were first shown with their normal green and yellow colors respectively.
  • Face Framed in Shadow: Whenever they're revealed, their upper bodies are kept shadowed, giving them Glowing Eyes of Doom.
  • The Immune: These guys are immune to Gulus Realm Burst Particles, which is why they were sent to keep an eye on GulusGammamon.
  • Mysterious Watcher: All of them are monitoring Gammamon after GulusGammamon shows up. Turns out they are sent by the Voice to monitor him, because they are unaffected by the particles he creates.
  • Palette Swap: All of them are black colorations of other Digimon.
  • Walking Spoiler: As their existence is tied to that of GulusGammamon, it's hard to talk about them without mentioning him.

    BloomLordmon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bloomlordmon_3.jpg "None may pass this point."

Voiced by: Shūichi Ikeda
Level: Ultimate
Attribute: Vaccine
Attacks: Multiple Seed, Sprout Rush, Gran Del Sol

The guardian of the mysterious Digimon who is transporting other Digimon into the human world. He is known for defeating numerous Digimon corroded by the Black Corrosion before. When the protagonists meet him, he refuses to deliver any information and proceeds to give them a Curb-Stomp Battle, before GulusGammamon awakens and shows his true colors.

  • The Ace: There's a reason why he's appointed to defend the mysterious voice. According to him, he's defeated numerous Digimon affected by the Black Corrosion and he easily defeats three of the protagonist's Ultimates while barely even moving once. It's implied since he avoided corrosion himself that he defeated the infected digimon without even getting hit once.
    • Bloomlordmon is able to effortlessly defeat the three Mega-level partners. Keep in mind that just two of them were able to defeat enemies such as ZeedMilleliumon and Quartzmon prior. This puts BloomLordmon far above the likes of digimon that in any other series would be the Final Boss.
  • Bait-and-Switch Boss: The bait to Regulusmon's Switch. The first half of Episode 66 has the protagonists fruitlessly trying to get past him, but when Regulusmon goes out of control, Hiro calls off the fight and splits him from Gammamon's body, causing him to snap and the protagonists to draw their attention to dealing with the Jet-Black Champion instead.
  • Chest Burster: If any of his attacks hit anyone, tree roots and vines will sprout out from the wound in their body to incapacitate them and anyone near them.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: He easily defeats all of the protagonist's Digimon without moving once. It also happened with numerous corrupted Digimon off-screen. However...
  • Curb Stomp Cushion: While BloomLordmon is able to deal with all three of the team's Ultimates with ease, he actually has to put in some effort in taking on Regulusmon. BloomLordmon doesn't win the fight, but he still manages to break off one of Regulusmon's horns and lets the rest of the team fight in his stead to aid Siriusmon when it's clear he's too weakened to continue. Considering how every prior opponent who faced even GulusGammamon was easily dispatched, this really says something about his power.
  • The Fair Folk: Despite his knightly appearance and plant-like characteristics, BloomLordmon is categorized as a Pixie Digimon.
  • Gate Guardian: Defends intruders from the Mysterious Voice and will not let anyone pass without a fight.
  • The Giant: For a humanoid Digimon, he's fairly massive and easily towers over the human protagonists.
  • Total Party Wipe: Delivers one of these to the protagonists, even as they're all using their Ultimate forms. It went to the point where GulusGammamon comes out and evolves into Regulusmon to give him a much harder opponent.
  • The Worf Effect: Downplayed. He effortlessly defeated countless corrupted Digimon and stomps all over the protagonist's Digimon without even moving, but when he fights Regulusmon, he ends up drawing with him as Hiro interrupts the fight, and later on, we find out he's heavily weakened and is only pretending to be okay.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Almost impales Gammamon with his spear until GulusGammamon shows up to take over the fight.
  • You Shall Not Pass!: The first thing coming out from him is a warning against the protagonists that nobody will get past him. And he makes it very clear on the warning that he does not play around.

    The Voice

Quantumon

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/quantumon.png
Voiced by: Saori Hayami
Level: Ultimate
Attribute: Data
Attacks: Unlimited Journey, Hazy Time

A Digimon also known as the "voice" that calls Digimon into the human world.

  • Above Good and Evil: She sends potentially dangerous Digimon into the human world without getting consent or explaining what's going on, resulting in more than one fatal incident for both humans and digimon. She doesn't do this out of malice, but as part of her desire to learn emotions. It's Played With, as digimon like Jellymon and Angoramon don't have a problem with being zapped to the human world personally because it enabled them to meet their human partner, and she did this because it was the only future out of trillions of simulated universes where the human and digital worlds didn't destroy each other.
  • Big Good: A rare example where a character is both the Big Good and the Greater-Scope Villain. She's the ruler of the Digital World, and while responsible for a lot of issues, all she wants is peace between the human and digital worlds no matter how unlikely it is. Once the Final Battle with Regulusmon starts, she intervenes to slow down time to give Hiro enough time to save Siriusmon. After the heroes meet her, she steps into the Big Good role properly, even setting up an alternate Digital World for Digimon and humans to form a united country within to further the goal of peace between the two species.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: By her own admission, her emotions and human emotions are not the same thing. She's aware of this and the fact that her predictions are flawed due to her inability to comprehend human emotions. This was the entire reason she sent Digimon to the human world in the first place.
  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: To the various versions of Yggdrasil. Like them, she's a computer-like being overseeing the Digital World and genuinely cares about her subjects. She's also limited by her overly logical nature and projections. However, unlike Yggdrasil, she never shows any malice towards humanity and would love nothing more than to see them and Digimon live in peace and harmony. Also unlike him, she's fully aware of her own Blue-and-Orange Morality and the fact it makes her predictions flawed, so her entire plan revolves around researching and gaining a better understanding of it for the benefit of both sides.
  • God in Human Form: She posed as a human to send emails to people so they would help her build devices that act as bridges between humans and Digimon. Hokuto just happened to be the person who opened one of her mails and got suckered in.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: It all started when she tried to see if Digimon and humans could have stable relations, but according to her there's no such possibility, so she sent random Digimon into the human world to collect data on humans. The only reason why she isn't in the Antagonists folder is that she was ostensibly still on the protagonist's side (and in fact, assisted Hokuto in creating the protagonist's Digivices and lent a hand for Hiro to thwart Regulusmon) and doesn't do anything overtly antagonistic.
  • Miko: Not quite, but her design, between her mask and her dress, especially its collar lines, give off Japanese shaman vibes.
  • Mr. Exposition: She spends most of her scene explaining a ton of lore and wrapping up loose ends.
  • Mysterious Watcher: Quamtumon has watched the protagonists through the Digivices she developed with Hokuto.
  • Last Episode, New Character: She has a massive involvement behind Hokuto's actions and the worldwide crisis that began after the Quartzmon case, but only shows up in person at the final episode of the series.
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: Subverted. Despite being a Physical God who can directly interfere with the human and Digital Worlds, she herself is not shown to have any fighting capabilities and needs the Black Digimon and BloomLordmon to bodyguard her.
  • Reality Warper: Can actively interfere with the gates between the human and Digital World and cut both worlds off from each other. It's implied she does this once the first infected Digimon, Dagomon, showed up in the human world.
  • Seers: Quantumon can see through billions, if not trillions of possible futures.
  • Time Master: Can slow down time, which she uses to buy enough time for Hiro to enter Gammamon's world before Regulusmon manages to absorb him.
  • Top God: Ultimate/Mega level Digimon in this series are established by the creators as being Digimon that have effectively ascended to godhood. Quantumon is the ruler of the Digital World and above even them.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: She was just trying to pursue a stable future between Digimon and humans, but no matter what, there's no such thing. Too bad she just sends random Digimon to the human world, and of course there are a bunch that do horrible things for whatever reasons.

Humans

    Tsuyoshi
A man who was caught in a house fire, only to die in DarkLizamon's botched attempt to save his life. While he isn't the first casualty of a hologram ghost incident, he happened to be one of the first whose deaths were witnessed by the general public.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Is cremated from his limbs inwards from DarkLizamon's Dread Fire attack, fully cognizant all the while and begging for help while his parents and everyone else can only watch in horror.
  • Reduced to Dust: He stepped outside of DarkLizamon's black flames and disintegrates into ash. There's nothing else left of him.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: The first human in the series to die on-screen, resulting in a group of people now being fully aware that Digimon are not simply mindless holograms and are capable of killing humans. Not only that, there are more people being killed by dangerous Digimon in subsequent episodes.
  • Too Dumb to Live: DarkLizamon tried to tell Tsuyoshi not to leave his Dread Fire prison until he gave him the all-clear, but he was too eager to get out of the house.
  • Walking Spoiler: As one of the victims in a Wham Episode (and one of the few fatalities), naturally.

    Rin
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rin_and_kantaro.png
Left: Rin Right: Kantaro

A girl who lives alongside her parents and her dog Kantaro on an island that is being harassed by Calamaramon. Gammamon hangs out with her after his little fallout with Hiro.

  • Big Friendly Dog: Kantaro might be a massive, white dog, but he's quite friendly and docile.
  • Body Horror: Her whole body was twisted into a barely-recognizable spiral when Calamaramon decides to jack her antics further, causing her much agony and incapacitating her. Her parents don't fare much better, but Kantaro wasn't affected because Hiro expanded the digital field in time.
  • Gotta Catch Them All: At the start of the episode, she and Gammamon spend the most of the day finding "bendy objects" (i.e. objects affected by Calamaramon).
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Unlike most other Characters of the week who at least personally encounter the Digimon of the Week, she never meets Calamaramon personally, and she's kept in the dark about Digimon in general to the end of the episode.
  • Third-Person Person: Refers to herself with her own name to reflect her young age.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: Comments that Gammamon is a more realistic "hologram" than what she had on the island she's living on.

    Miori
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/miori_7.png

A woman who seeks Ruli for help because she lost her sister Misaki to an "Oni" three days ago. In reality, the "Oni" are actually a group of five Oboromon attacking random passersby on purpose.

  • Small Role, Big Impact: Her request for help in finding her lost sister has led the heroes into dealing with a group of incredibly nasty Oboromon. Hiro and Ruli also fall victim to the incident, Gammamon has to Dark Digivolve into GulusGammamon to brutalize them and free everyone, and we get to find out that GulusGammamon was The Dreaded back in the Digital World.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Despite being the one to involve the heroes in the case to help find her sister, Miori ends up vanishing halfway into the plot after Rui tells her to flee from the Oboromon chasing them. She doesn't appear again after this, but she presumably was reunited with Misaki after all the victims of the Oboromon were set free.

    Eyesmon's victims
Save for Emma, there are four other people who were attacked and possessed by Eyesmon. These include a Hikkikomori, a policeman, an influencer, and a woman who sought Ruli for help because red eyes had grown all over her body.
  • Body Horror: All of them have red eyes laced all over their bodies.
  • Dirty Cop: Downplayed. The Eyesmon-possessed cop barges into the house of a woman looking for cameras, but he just comes across as being creepy instead of outright malevolent.
  • Killed Offscreen: It's implied that save for the five known victims, Eyesmon killed at least one other person through Possession Burnout.
  • Hive Mind: When Emma clutches her hand in pain, the next scene shows a possessed cop clutching his hand in the same way, suggesting that they're all considered a part of Eyesmon.
  • Laughing Mad: The Hikkikomori giggles like a madwoman after she's been possessed by Eyesmon.
  • People Puppets: Based on how they seem to regain consciousness after Eyesmon is dispelled, they're presumably just hollowed-out puppets like Emma is after Eyesmon is out of the bag.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Double Subverted. They might have sinister red eyes, but unlike most people who are actually converted into Digimon minions, they are largely harmless at best and bizarre nuisances at worst. The Digimon behind them is a nasty one though.
  • Sinister Surveillance: The influencer is seen spying on celebrities using three tablets on security camera apps in hopes of uploading the footage to social media.
  • Spanner in the Works: The woman seeking Ruli for help in Lirurun because red eyes are growing all over her body is what alerts Hiro and Kiyoshiro that something is wrong with Emma and shortly after, Eyesmon's presence.

As Idols

An idol group that Kiyoshiro was a fan of, consisted of three girls named Asuka, Mayuri, and Anna. One of their members, Anna was targeted by Publimon, who seeks to kill her because she called his news "boring" and he wanted to make a sensational report out of her death.

  • The Cameo: Anna is shown via flashback when Gammamon is thinking about all the friends he's made when he's facing Kuzuhamon.
  • Casting Gag : Both Asuka and Mayuri's seiyuus cast for Mimi, the former for the original version, and the latter for her reboot counterpart.
  • Cuteness Proximity: Anna squees in joy when she sees how cute Gammamon is.
  • Damsel in Distress: Out of the three, Anna was the only one to really insult Publimon's newspaper, which leads to him trying to outright kill her by causing an accident. Team Lilirun manages to save her from his sabotage in the end.
  • Idol Singer: A trio of popular idol singers with all the publicity that entails.
  • The Leader: Asuka's public image is that she's the leader with a "cool gaze and a blazing heart". She also has a much deeper voice than her bandmates.
  • Purely Aesthetic Glasses: Mayuri wears a pair as part of her civilian outfit.
  • Verbal Tic: Mayuri often says "Ariri~" in front of her dialogue.

Attacks: Aquary Pressure, Baluluna Gale (As witch)

A friend of Ruli who attended the annual Hazakura Academy Halloween party. She dressed as a witch to the party and ran into Witchmon in a hallway, who quickly turned her into a witch.

  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Spends most of the episode being a witch capable of converting others into her kind and uses Witchmon's attacks.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: After Witchmon's magic wears off, she has no recollection of anything that happened in the incident.

    DarkKnightmon's victims

Click here to see what they were

Four students of Hazakura Academy's history club. After Mr. Okonogi shows them a "helmet" that is actually DarkKnightmon's severed head, DarkKnightmon targets these students one by one by stealing their souls and marking their necks with a red ring, turning them into headless ghosts in knight armor who can't do anything but ask for his head. Kiyoshiro and Okonogi join them later on, but the former wasn't in the history class that day but just happened to pass by.
The victims' names are Himari Yokomizo, Yuma Suzaki, Miki Shinjo, and Kaito Uchida.

  • Hive Mind: The affected students retain their own voice, whatever they are wearing before they are hunted down and their speech patterns, but can only ask for DarkKnightmon's head. Since they don't specify whose head they're looking for and most people don't expect a Digimon to go after them, the would-be victim state that they don't know, at which point DarkKnightmon appears to claim them and move on to the next person.
  • Vocal Dissonance: A female student that is turned into a ghost will speak in her own voice while donning a thick plate of armor on her chest.
  • Zorro Mark: Their real, unconscious bodies are marked by DarkKnightmon with a red ring around their necks to signify that he took their souls.

    Mr. Okonogi
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/okonogi.jpg

The history teacher of Hazakura Academy, he brought DarkKnightmon's dismembered head from a second hand shop and mistook it for an ancient helmet. A short while after he shows DarkKnightmon's head to several students, the Digimon went around hunting down anyone in the room at that time.

  • Spanner in the Works: He just happened to buy DarkKnightmon's head thinking it was some ancient helmet. Had anyone else bought it, they would likely go unnoticed after being attacked, especially because DarkKnightmon was specifically trying to reclaim his head. By using it in his history class, however, other students were attacked, alerting the kids to the attacks and allowing Hiro to barter with DarkKnightmon in exchange for returning his head.

    Kaoru Miyauchi

A member of Ruli's former piano class who was targeted by AncientSphinxmon on the way home from piano class and turned into a brick.

  • Spanner in the Works: Her disappearance is what alerts Ruli and by extension, Mummymon to Pharaohmon's potential revival.

Others (Unmarked Spoilers)

    The Endbringer
According to GulusGammamon, this being destroyed his planet in the distant past and will enter the human world 2,000 years in the future, and he seeks to create a group of corrupted Digimon to combat it.

  • Ambiguous Situation: Nobody knows if this thing even exists. GulusGammamon doesn't seem to take it too seriously, especially when Hiro asks him about it. It does convince Quantumon to take all the Digimon back, however.
  • Eldritch Abomination: If it exists, then it really is a terrific threat.
  • Godzilla Threshold: Seems to be the case, as GulusGammamon considers it such a menace that he's willing to spread a virus that will corrupt the Digital World and turn its inhabitants into frenzied monsters just to give them enough power to have a chance at defeating it alongside him. Considering his own power displayed throughout the series, that's saying something.
  • Last Episode, New Character: While Quantumon was introduced alongside it in the final episode, she was at least foreshadowed in the episode prior; this thing's existence only comes in the second half of the finale and is never hinted at before.
  • Motivational Lie: It's implied GulusGammamon might have just made it up to motivate Quantumon into going along with Hiro and company's desire for Digimon/human co-existence.
  • Planet Eater: GulusGammamon claims that it devoured the planet he came from and that it will do so to Earth and the Digital World once it reaches them.
  • The Spook: Nobody knows what it really is or if it even exists in the first place.
