Misa’s Friends

Misa Atsukin

The main protagonist of the trilogy. They are a hardworking coffee shop barista in Inkopolis who is working hard, who, along with their friends, help the Splatoon defeat Lewis Coltrane’s group. It is later revealed they are an Inktoling, an inkling/Octoling hybrid who pretended to be an Inkling to protect themself.

Abusive Parents: Her mother, while not horrible, is extremely manipulative and emotionally exhausting to them and it is revealed that she enforced them to stay an Inkling and not to become a Inktoling around others.
Appearance Angst: They are shown to feel insecure about staying in their Inkling appearance around people, especially due being an Inktoling who is forced into staying an Inklinh no matter what
Dark and Troubled Past: Due to being an Inktoling, was under the threat of being attacked or killed, and their dad took the fall and was captured by racists, presumably being killed by them, and their mother made them be an Inkling, lying about their identity and race while stressing on how being an Inktoling will get you killed.
Disappeared Dad: Her dad is out of the picture. Later revealed it was due to his possible death at the hand of Octoling racists.
Hero with Bad Publicity: Implied. While she wasn’t unpopular before hand The end of the first part shows that people hate her for being an Inktoling even after she saved everyone.
Non-Human Non-Binary: Justified since humans are extinct. Misa is Non Binary.
No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Even after she saved everyone from Estefa, people still hate her for being an Inktoling.
"Reason You Suck" Speech: They gave this to Estefa Dora, saying he has no excuse for his actions and calls him out for saying they didn’t suffer for being an Inktoling, and says he has no excuse for anything
Trans Tribulations: Shows to get bullied at times for being Non Binary
Workaholic: Is shown to be very dependent of their work, wanting to get successful.

Kobe Garrison

Kobe is the meek and comforting best friend of Misa, who usually is a great helper of them and is usually at the receiving end of bullying by Tabitha Cotten. He grew a backbone in the end of the first story and tells Tabitha off for her bullying, and the two start growing to be friends again after helping each other in Octo Valley.

Best Friend: Shows to be this to Misa, as they are most closest together.
The Dog Bites Back: After being relentlessly bullied and picked on by Tabitha for years, he finally tells her off and
Easily Forgiven: Downplayed, as he doesn’t immediately forgive Tabitha for all her bullying and disparaging comments, but instead are working on it.
Extreme Doormat: He is extremely tolerant of Tabitha’s bullying and never fought back, which lead to a low self esteem until he finally grew a backbone and told her off.
Grew a Spine: Finally does it after the tunnel fight, going off on Tabitha for almost leaving him to die and all the horrible things she done to him over the years.
Nice Guy: Is shown to be a caring friend to Misa and the others, even Tabitha.
Retcon: Was frequently called Garret due to the author mixing up names, in which it was later fixed in small rewrites
"Reason You Suck" Speech: Gives one to Tabitha, calling her our for her bullying behavior towards him and how she treating him like crap for years and shows remorse for it.
The One Guy: He’s the only guy of Misa’s friend group.

Tabitha Cotten

Tabitha Cotton

Tabitha is the popular girl in Misa’s college, and is a shown to be, while mean and bully sometimes, is genuinely protective of her friends, except for Garret who taunts and hurts, not seeing it as anything bad. However

Alpha Bitch: Is a popular girl in her college who, even in her friend group, pretty uptight and annoying. Although they do love her and she loves them.
Hypocritical Humor: She insults a couple of bullies for acting transphobic towards Misa, calling them “No Tits.” And in the end of the scene she suggest Misa getting a boob job for their chest.
Jerkass Realization: When Kobe finally stands up to her, realized how horrible she acted to him and later saves his life back in Octo Valley.
Lack of Empathy: Shows this when bullying Kobe, seeing nothing wrong in doing so, and believes he’s just being a baby.
Lovable Alpha Bitch: While she is vain and has her posse of “friends” she is shown to be fiercely loyal to her group of childhood friends and is willing to protect them at all cost. The only exception ways Garret, however she shows she still cares for him deep down.
Reformed Bully: Played with Trope, with it being defied and then played straight. Tabitha was said to have been an nightmare in high school to Kobe, and they “made up” in graduation and they gotten along better, Tabitha was still mean and picked on Kobe a lot, with Tabitha unwilling to accept she’s still hurting him. It was only until Kobe deliver a [1] onto her when she realized the true extent of her bullying and decided to change for the better.
Sociopathic Hero: Deconstructed trope. While Tabitha can feel empathy for others and chooses to at times, she is still a bully who doesn’t exactly see anything wrong with hurting Kobe emotionally and sometimes physically, and sees any attempts at showing what she does wrong with stonewalling. It isn’t until being yelled at by Kobe makes her realize how wrong her actions was.
Tomboy: Zig-Zagged, as while she is a popular girl and has some obsessions over popular things and acts over dramatic, she is also very brash and doesn’t act too feminine at times.
Vitriolic Best Buds: Deconstructed trope with Kobe, as their friendship is recognized as extremely toxic.

Sarah Parker

An bookworm Inkling girl who is more soft spoken and least actionable in Misa’s friend group, who has a crush on Michelle. She manages to save Michelle from mind control at the climax of the first part and by the end of the story, gets together with Michelle.

Badass Bookworm: Easily shows she can put up a fight in the sewers and Octo Valley.
Crush Blush: Gives this a lot towards Michelle whenever speaking to her.
Covert Pervert: Pretended to get a leg cramp so Michelle can walk out with a towel to get her clothes. And she’s The meek bookworm girl mind you.
Bookworm: She is nerdy and usually writes and draws and reads books.
Dying Declaration of Love: Confesses her love for a brain washed Michelle as she is slowly getting weaker from Lewis’ serum, and passes out when Michelle comes to. Subverted as she was saved by Sally.
"I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: Gives this to Michelle while she is brainwashed, and manages to break though to her.
Nice Girl: Is extremely kind friend to Misa and her friends.
Shrinking Violet: Is extremely shy and soft spoken.

Michelle Lee

Michelle is a feisty Octoling who is fiercely loyal to her friends and is shown to have a small temper and despises Eddie Moss. She is shown to have a strong friendship towards Sarah, who the latter has a crush on, and on the end of the first part, the two get together.

Berserk Button: Will get EXTREMELY pissed when trying to hurt the people she cared about, like her friends.
Hot-Blooded: Has a burning passion for Octoling activism.
The Napoleon: Is the smallest of the group friends, but can easily pack a bunch and get angry.
Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Is very small in appearance, but can very much pack a punch.
Soapbox Sadie: Downplayed. While she is an extremely vocal activist, she never fully lectures people Unless the situations calls for it.

The Squidbeak Splatoon

Kara Tanver aka The New Captain 3

Kara is the newest Captain of The Squidbeak Splatoon, after the olds death in The Splatlands. She is shown to have a low opinion of herself and attempts to be a great captain just like Cassie.

The Atoner: [Wishes to make the Splatoon better after the reveal of them covering up the old Agent 3’s actions in the Splat Lands.
Beneath the Mask: Shows to be extremely insecure of who she is and being unable to hold up peoples image of the original Captain 3.
By-the-Book Cop: Tries to do everything the old fashion way, still wanting to arrest Sebastian and Claudia for attempting to use corrupt tactics, despite doing it to prevent Eddie from being in the office and them later saving Kara.
Da Chief: Of the Squidbeak Splatoon.
Hero-Worshipper: Seems to have been a fan of Agent 3 and when saving her from the Splat Lands, Inspiron

Isa Raines aka Agent 8

Isa Raines

Isabelle “Isa” Raines, also known agent 8, is the eight agent of the Splatoon and popular icon in Inkopolis. Who was known for defeating Commander Tartar and bringing the race war to an end. She later retires from her position after the Splat Lands incident and lived in Splatsville as a waitress, before being forced to come back to help save Inkopolis, and the world.

The Atoner: Wishes to make the Splatoon better after the reveal of them covering up the old Agent 3’s actions in the Splat Lands.
Badass Adorable: Is extremely cutesy and fun while fighting hand to hand combat with people and taking them down.
Big Good: Serves as one effectively, defeating Commander Tartar before the beginning of the story.
Lipstick Lesbian: Is a lesbian and is shown to be pretty feminine.
Ship Tease: With Sally Stone.

Cassie Emerald

The former Agent of the Squidbeak Splatoon, and the late girlfriend of Isa Raines, who lost her life protective people in the Splat Lands. It is later revealed that in order to save people, she left others to die in the Splat Lands and personally slowed them down in order to have them be killed by the “things” in it. This eventually leads to the deaths of Eddie’s sister Sabrina and Lyra’s parents, making them into villains and also causes Freddie Freezer into being a ruthless criminal.

Broken Pedestal: Turn into this by the rest of the citizens.
Well-Intentioned Extremist: Her main motivation towards having people die in Splat Lands was to save others, and presumably pulled a Hell Face Turned by sacrificing herself to get everyone out.

Mayor Sebastian Lunen

Is the serious and well mannered Mayor or Inkopolis, who wishes to improve the life of its spcitiznes after Ridley tried ruining it. However, his morals are put to the test when having to face against the curropy Eddie Moss.

Reasonable Authority Figure: Shows to be this, wishing to improve Inkopolis Chaos and their relations with Octo Valley.
Straight Man and Wise Guy: The straight man to Claudia’s wise guy (or gal).

Cynthia

Cynthia is Sebastian’s meek secretary.

Chairman of the Brawl: Uses a chair to incapacitate Gabbie to save Cludia.
Big Damned Heroes: Gets this moment when she saved Claudia from Gabbie using a chair.
Nervous Wreck: She shows this when being faced with danger, however, she is quick to fight when given a good weapon and basic training.

Claudia Kishi

Claudia is a eccentric mayor of Octo Valley, who used to be a leader of a rebellion against DJ Octavio.

Badass Adorable: She can switch from her cheery attitude to holding her own against soldiers in a dime.
Cloudcuckoolander: Is generally very and oddball lady, with playing his hand puppets during her spare time,
Hidden Depths: For all her antics and eccentric qualities, it’s almost hard to believe she was a leader of a rebellion against DJ Octavio.
La Résistance: In her backstory, it’s revealed she was the leader of a resistance group to fight against DJ Octavio’s villainy.
Straight Man and Wise Guy: The wise guy (or girl) to Sebastian’s straight man.

Oblia Harding

A hardworking scientist who was friends with Estefa Dora. Is killed by him after she stumbles onto his plan

Benevolent Boss: Is shown to be a friendly boss towards her jellyfish helpers.
Cruel and Unusual Death: Is shoved into water and is basically burned alive while drowning

Part Ones Villain Group

Part One’s Big Bad (SPOILERS UNMARKED)

Estefa Dora

One of the two main antagonists of part 1, he is a eccentric and charismatic seemingly Inkling Entrepreneur in Inkopolis who is known for his charity work and helping others, and invented “Water Block” which is used to protect against water. It is revealed that Estefa is an Inktoling who wishes to flood the world to destroy all Inklings and Octolings so Inktolings can be the dominate species and share a world with humanity, which he had plans of reviving so he would be held as a hero.

Absolute Xenophobe: In his reveal, despises quite literally all Inklings and Octolings to the point of wishing to transform them into Squids and Octopi and keeping them in the water while Inktolings rule.
And I Must Scream: What he plans to do. His plan is using his product water block on the civilians and then flood the world and cities with specially modified water, and the Inklings and Octolings who didn’t dissolve from not wearing water block, would transform back into their ancestors, Inklings into Squids and Octolings to Octopi, and, as confirmed by Lewis, these would have had sapience.
Big Bad Duumvirate: With Lewis Coltrane of the first fic.
Die Laughing: Believing that the cities will despise The Squidbeak Splatoon, Estefa dies while chuckling and boasting that he won in the end.
Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Subverted for Gabbie, and despite it being confirmed the two in a relationship, they truly never cared for her and only used her similar abuse and neglect to get her on his side.
Evil All Along: Appeared to be a very lovable and charismatic entrepreneur before revealing his true motivations.
Faux Affably Evil: Hides his complete vengeful attitude under a cheery and charismatic mask and his charity work.
Foil: To Misa Atsukin, the protagonist. Both are Inktolings who, due to different circumstances hide who they truly are and are shown to be hardworking members of society who are kind (or at least pretend to be on Estefa’s case) to others while they keep their true identity a secret. However, their circumstances and how they deal with trouble is different. Misa was never discriminated against due to their mother keeping her Inktoling identity a secret while saying they would get killed for being an Inktoling, having them feel terrible for being an Inktoling, while Estefa was abused for his childhood for being one, which lead him completely hating Inklings and Octolings and feeling like Inktolings are superior. Misa shows to be compassionate and loving towards people while working hard as a coffee shop worker, not wanting others to be hurt, while Estefa’s kidness is always a mask and he shows to despise every other person around him. While Estefa is shown to be loved by the cities, Misa is usually ignored at best and discriminated for being Non Binary, however, Estefa still didn’t show any gratefulness and allowed hatred to fester while Misa didn’t let the bullying stop them from trying to make something of their life and helping out others.
Freudian Excuse: Discussed and Ultimately Defied. Estefa grew up an orphan who was bullied by Inklings and Octolings alike, leading to a bitter hatred of them. After faking his death and changing his name and identity, he became a large businessman, entrepreneur, and scientist. However, his bitterness still retains and it is only heightened by seeing fellow Inktolings abused and killed and decides to find a way to bring Inklings and Octolings down, while Inktolings can finally be safe. However, Misa and Estefa have a back and forth fight during the climax in, which both raise good points, but showing just how Estefa is delusional and careless. While Estefa says that no one truly loved his old person (Raven Onyx), Misa is correct in that Estefa became a loved person as a scientist and could have helped fellow Inktolings and been an advocate for them, and while the treatment he suffered was harsh, it was vastly outweighed by him trying to trap all of them into fates worst than deaths and risking Inktolings, the very thing he claims to protect, lives.
It's All About Me: What Misa thinks, as he shows little actual care for Inktolings, considering he is fine with them getting killed in the flooding and explicitly says he would kill humans he would resurrect if they didn’t accept him as an Inktoling, which shows deep down Estefa cares for himself.
"Not So Different" Remark: Surprisingly Subverted. Despite Misa and Him being Inktolings, he doesn’t see Misa as an Inktoling due to him thinking they didn’t suffer enough as an Inktoling and hid who they were around people for all their life, leading to growing bonds and sees them more of an Inkling.
Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist: While he attempts to reason his actions are for the good of the Inktolings, it falls flat in the end as it’s pointed out how many Inktolings would be killed anyway from the flooding and shows more of a petty egotism,
Taking You with Me: Attempts to pull this on Misa, who pulls them into the floods path in a last ditch effort to kill them.
The Social Darwinist: Has this mindset, believing himself and other Inktoling as the superiority and the best to survive against the nature of the world.
Villains With Good Publicity: Is lover by the city for being a charming entrepreneur and creating a revolutionary invention that would solve dissolving in water.

Lewis Coltrane

Lewis is a former scientist who works with Estefa Dora to help destroy the Squidbeak Splatoon and Inkopolis via any way possible, out of revenge for the group rejected his inventions. It is revealed he worked with Tar Tar in the mass blending of thousands of Octolings and is unwittingly responsible for Agent 8.

Asshole Victim: It’s hard to shed tears when this dude goes down.
Ax-Crazy: Shows to be completely unhinged.
Even Evil Has Standards: EXTREMELY Downplayed, as Lewis does show to be shaken up over Eddie beating Marina nearly to death, however, is shown to wanted to make a sick joke on it, only stopping when knowing everyone would get on his case for it.
Evil Is Petty: His villainy was fueled due to Captain Cuddlefish, Callie and Marie criticizing his bad inventions.
Fatal Flaw: He shows many of these in shades:
- He shows a very big amount of pride, which causes him to overlook his flaws, which later leads to his
- With this, his Sloth as he doesn’t manage to do any work himself, leads his inventions to be incredibly vulnerable.
- And finally, his wrath ultimately leads to his downfall, as his constant abuse of the Octoling Soldiers force them to turn on him, which leads to his death.
From Nobody to Nightmare: Apparently was just a regular smart person who seemed to have been a decent person before his descent into villainy.
Hate Sink: Absolutely NO good things can be said about a Lewis, from his xenophobia, sadism, crass humor and general unappealing nature.
Hated by All: Absolutely no one ever likes this guy, not even anyone in his own group.
It's Personal with the Dragon: He was the main one person working with Commander Tar Tar in mass blending thousands of Octolings, including Michelle’s older sister, Kara’s Mother and Sarah’s friend Jake, and tortured Agent 8, Isa, which leads him having more personal villainy than Estefa.
Killed Mid-Sentence: Attempts to reveal one more secrete to Isa before killing her, before he gets impaled by Sally and falling off a cliff.
Plagiarism in Fiction: Stole DJ Octavio’s devices in order to pass them off as his inventions.
Sadist: Is shown to be the most sadistic person on his team, enjoying in pain and suffering that is inflicted on others.
Smug Snake: Has an extreme high view of himself.
Stealing the Credit: Believes that Cap’n Cuddlefish and The Squid Sisters stole his work, while in reality, his inventions were poor and usually copies. This is ironic, has he has no qualms using Octavio’s and Tartar’s machines to his use.
The Sociopath: More of a low-functioning example, due to his unhinged, lack of overall planning and his general impulsiveness.
Stupid Scientist: Despite all his boasting, Lewis himself isn’t very smart, as most of his genius inventions were mostly rehashing of other villains works, such as DJ Octavio’s Calamari Incantation, and as the Squid Sisters puts it, his original inventions were extremely amateurish at best.

Eddie Moss

Eddie is a new politician who wishes to run and become the new Mayor of Inkopolis, using cheap and corrupt tricks to get far. It is later revealed he is working with Lewis Coltrane and Estefa Dora in order to destroy the Splatoon’s reputation due to the old Agent 3 abandoning him and his sister, leading to his sister’s death. He is later defeated and put in prison presumably for the rest of his life.

0% Approval Rating: Is pretty much disliked or feared by everyone in Inkopolis and isn’t much like by anyone other than his assistant Lyra
Big Bad Wannabe: Originally presented as the big bad and the main threat, before Lewis and Estefa took over
Co-Dragons: Becomes this, alongside The Lovers and Arguably Gabbie.
Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He loves his sister Sabrina, as his motivation to try and destroy the Splatoon was out of anger of her death in the Splat Lands.
- He also cares for his Octoling assistant Lyra, treating her well and not being racist to her, and being angered at others if they try insulting her. It’s shown he sees his sister in her and even when he insulted her by calling her a “Pit Dweller” in the finale chapter of part one, looked pain doing it.
Deadpan Snarker: Is shown to be snarky with every line of dialogue he says.
Hypocrite: He is shown to be completely xenophobic towards all Octolings, but if anyone starts acting racist towards Lyra, he’ll make sure you never do it again. Called out by Marina before he beats her face in
No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Gives it to Marina when she tries standing up for him for his hypocrisy, as he beats her within an inch of her life, leaving her losing one eye and being mute from either the beating or the trauma.
Put On The Prison Bus: Is last seen in part 2, staying in prison for the rest of his life and refusing to work with the Splatoon.
Save the Villain: Kara saves him from falling to his death, not wanting anymore people to die and he gets imprisoned
Villains With Good Publicity: Subverted. While he does get high on the polls, it was not due to popularity but due to The Lovers threatening and pressuring people to vote on him.

Lyra

The shy and meek Octoling assistant of Eddie Moss, who is ok with his racism of other Octolings and assists him his crimes in order to destroy the Splatoon out of revenge for her parents dying in the Splat Lands incident. She is later redeemed by Kara and manages to help take down Eddie.

Boomerang Bigot: Downplayed. While not racist at all, she is willing to work with Eddie, who he himself is a extreme racist.
Freudian Excuse: Her hatefulness of The Splatoon was due to the Splat Lands incident where they all caused their parents to get killed.
Heel–Face Turn: Redeems herself when being talked through by Kara and helps defeat Eddie, and becomes a secretary for The Splatoon.

The Lovers (SPOILERS UNMARKED)

Freddie Freezer and Cherri Lane

The Lovers were a pair of assassins who worked under Eddie’s wing to get him elected, before later working with Lewis and Estefa. It is revealed Cherri was a soldier for DJ Octavio who was shunned by her people and Freddie was a member of the Squidbeak Splatoon, being abandoned by Cassie in the Splat Lands, fueling the two into villainy.

Battle Couple: Are incredibly in tune while fighting, and care for each other while doing so.
Berserk Couple: Freddie is shown to be incredibly hotheaded when pushed, which contrast Cherri’s more calm and cool headedness.
Freudian Excuse: Freddie was a member of the Squidbeak Splatoon who was betrayed by Cassie and left to die in the Splat Lands and Cherri was a soldier for the Octarians and was shunned by her home, leading the two finding each other and taking compassion for each other.
Karma Houdini: Manages to escape at the climax even after getting tied up by Claudia and, according to Ridley, they are hiding out in The Splat Lands.
The Stoic: The two are cold staring and rarely speak, mostly staying to the side.

Gabbie Ivey

Gabbie was a soldier for DJ Octavio who felt rejected by Octo Valley, and decides to join Lewis and Estefa’s team out of revenge.

Even Evil Has Loved Ones: She clearly cares for Cherri due to not their mutual trauma of being war veterans. She also revealed to have cared for Estefa, even if he didn't care for her.
Even Evil Has Standards: Shows disgust with Eddie killing their men. She also shows minor care or hesitation to send Arthur and Andrea, two teenagers who were barely experienced to be thrown into battle and let them stay behind for their safety.
It's Personal: Towards Claudia, as it’s said that they went against each other when Claudia attempted to save Cherri from the Octarians.

The Twins

The Twins: Arthur and Andrea

A pair of teenage Inklings twins who join the villain team for fun, but quickly gets in over their heads when having to commit full on violence. After their arrest and community service, the two become professional thieves for hire.

Bumbling Henchmen Duo: The two are pretty unthreatening and pretty much there for comic relief. This changes in the second story.
Don't Tell Mama: The two make sure to not make their ailing mother know about their criminal career.
Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas: The Twins deeply care for their ailing mother.
Even Evil Has Standards: The twins show to be uncomfortable towards collateral damage or innocents getting hurt.
Fake Defector: After getting their community service, the twins go back to their villainous ways and become professional thieves.
For the Evulz: Downplayed, as while the two aren’t exceptionally sadistic, they are motivated to work for Lewis purely because they were bored.
Know When to Fold 'Em: As soon as everything turns worst, they immediately quit the fight and surrender.
Locked Out of the Loop: The most out of any of them, as they clearly didn’t realize how badly things were gonna become.
Plea Bargain: For giving their testimonies and selling out others, and their age and motives, the two are only sent to do community service for the year.
Punch-Clock Villain
Siblings in Crime: A pair of twins who work with the main villains for amusement.
Token Good Teammate: When it comes to assassins and unethical expirementers, The Twins are simply teenagers who wanted to have fun.
Took a Level in Badass: The two teens started to become competent and much more smarter, managing to become professional thieves.
Twins Of Evil: Downplayed since they aren't that evil, but they are willingly working with people knowing that people will get hurt.
Villains Want Mercy: Immediately starts to beg to the Splatoon to be spared.

The former Mayor of Inkopolis, who was said to be completely corrupt and lazy, who is responsible for the deaths of the people in the Splat Lands and is locked up in a maximum security prison. It is revealed he was a dog in Estefa Dora’s machine to destroy Inkopolis, and Ridley took the fall.

0% Approval Rating: It’s shown that hardly anyone actually likes him for what he has done, although he seems to be ok with that.
Affably Evil: Is a pretty chill dude, and it’s justified since he’s not actively malicious. Just greedy.
Greater-Scope Villain: Is shown to be the main guy responsible for the corruption in Inkopolis and the deaths of many people in The Splat Lands. Subverted as it’s revealed Estefa was the one who payed Ridley to do all that and threw Ridley under the bus.
Heel–Face Turn: Seems to have redeemed himself as he gave Isa the written confession on Estefa throwing him under the bus for no pragmatic reason and gave Isa a speech to keep them going.
Luxury Prison Suite: Lives in a very nice prison cell, with gaming systems, comfortable chairs, spa treatment and even wine cabinets.
The Social Darwinist: Seems to believe that people who are in high power are better than people in lower power. Although he seemed to have mellowed out from that.

The Inktoling Killers

In General

A mysterious hate group who wishes to wipe out Inktolings, using violence and propaganda to allow discrimination to keep happening.

The Leader

A mysterious leader of The Killers, who killed Misa’s father.

Absolute Xenophobe: Is the leader of a group of people who wishes to get rid of Inktolings from the glove, so this is a given.
Greater-Scope Villain: Seems to be this, being the reason Misa is who they are.

The Right Hand

A very giggly woman and right hand in the Inktoling Killers, wearing a gas mask.

Giggling Villain: The only noise she makes her appearance.
Sadist: Shows enjoyment over Misa’s father being tortured.

The Bag Headed Man

A member of the Inktoling Killers, a suited man with a bag over his head with a club.

Brown Bag Mask: What he uses to disguise himself.
Would Hurt a Child: Physically assaulted a young Misa when they tried stopping him from beating their father, and wanted to kill them as well, being annoyed when The Leader stopped them.

Splatsville Citizens

Anna and Jamie

A couple living in Splatsville who gives the characters a place to live while they investigate.

Author Avatar: Are based on the real creator and her boyfriend.

Sally Stone

Sally is a leader of a scavenger group, who is normally stoic and cool headed, but is very caring of people and helped out Claudia and the group out of respect.

All Bikers are Hells Angels: An actually subverted trope. While they were suspicioned of being thugs and criminals, it turns out Sally and her group are genuinely kind hearted, if not intimidating group of people.
Big Damn Heroes: Pulls a rescue mission in the metro station to save the Splatoon.
Bruiser with a Soft Center: While she looked thuggish and like a brute, she’s genuinely nice and soft hearted.
Defrosting the Ice Queen: Is shown to give actual emotions when being around people, mainly Isa Raines.
Hidden Depths: Knows a fair bit about medicine and how to deal with poisonings.
The Stoic: She barely emotes and gives very curt, one line responses.

Mamori Atsukin

Misa’s mother, who is shown, despite her love for her, is extremely tiring to be around and manipulative.

Ryan

A vagabond who saved Freddie and Cherri from the Splat Lands, and he is a kind hearted farmer living in the caverns in the Splat lands
