The Midoriya family and close relatives.

    open/close all folders

    In General
  • Badass Family: Any and all of them show a badass side to them, even outside of combat.
  • Reincarnation: Almost the entire family appears to be a reincarnation of a Asura's Wrath character.

    Izuku 'Yasha' Midoriya
The son of Asura and Inko Midoriya
  • Adaptational Badass: Big time! He not only has the power of Wrath Mantra, but is also the reincarnation of Gohma Vlitra!
  • Adaptational Jerkass: Comes with the territory of being the son of Asura thanks to his affinity for Wrath Mantra.
  • Brutal Honesty: Much like his father, he doesn't mince words much when telling people off. Combines with Jerkass Has a Point since, much like his father, he tends to know what he's talking about.
  • Hidden Depths: He appears to have manny hobbies, including cooking and caligraphy.
  • High Hopes, Zero Talent: A seeming staple of Wrath Mantra users. It's all but stated that the only reason he achieved anything in his life is through constant training and repetition of tasks.
  • Irrational Hatred: Has this towards Mirio's acceptance of One for All mostly due to his Mantra affinity not allowing him to forgive any perceived betrayal even if he understands the reasoning behind it. He also seems to strongly dislike All Might for a currently unexplained reason.
  • Oblivious to Love: Is absolutely clueless about Nejire's attraction to him to the point that Yasha and Tamaki enlist Mandalay's help to get him to acknowledge her feelings
  • Oxymoronic Being: Izuku is the reincarnation of Gohma Vlitra and possesses the Gohma's Primordial Mantra, yet still possesses his father's Wrath Mantra, makes him equal parts Gohma and Demigod. It even confuses Kalrow, who is one of the smartest people out there, to no end!
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: He and Asura engage in this several times during training.
  • Supreme Chef: Cooks breakfast for his entire class and manages to impress even the most sceptical of his class.
  • You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: While he never says it, his forms and powers changing in function annoy him a lot.

     Asura 'Hisashi' Midoriya
Izuku's father, Inko's husband, and the reincarnation of none other than Asura

    Inko 'Durga' Midoriya
Izuku's mother and the wife of Asura
  • Only Sane Man: Seems to be this for the family along with Yasha.
  • Seen It All: She appears to be unphased by just about anything. Himiko hiding a ton of weapons on her person only amuses her.

    Yasha Midoriya
Asura's more collected and rational brother in law

    Mithra Midoriya
Izuku's older sister

    Augus
Izuku's grandfather and mentor
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Not only was he Asura's mentor, he is also his father, making him by extension Izuku's grandfather
  • Blood Knight: Unlike his son he loves fighting anyone and everyone for any reason.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: He's quite competent in training and crimefighting despite his eccentricities.
  • Dirty Old Man: We're not given an indication how old he is but he flirts with any woman he comes across that catches his interest.
  • Fights Like a Normal: Despite raising Asura and mentoring Izuku and class 1-A he appears to never use his mantra at any point and still beats them all into the ground and walls constantly.
  • Greed: While not shown, his mantra is still the mantra of Greed.
  • Handicapped Badass: He is blind but if Asura's words are any indication it hasn't slowed him down in the slightest.
  • The Hedonist: His entire lifestyle is built around enjoying himself as much as possible. He drinks, he fights and sleeps with anyone he finds worth his time.
  • Really Gets Around: The narration makes it clear that he has had a lot of lovers to the point that he slept with every waitress and the owner of a cafe at one point.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Explicitly stated to be Asura's father here.
  • Only One Name: We don't know what his surname is or even has one.
  • Vigilante Man: He doesn't care for the whole Hero and Villain business at all and merely looks for the next interesting fight.

    Ryuko Midoriya
Mithra's wife and the Pro-Hero Ryukyu
  • Bodyguard Crush: She accompinies Mithra on her journey to awaken the old gods and is smitten with her almost instantly.

    Himiko Midoriya
Mithra and Ryuko's adopted daughter
  • Adaptational Heroism: By virtue of not becoming a villain. It is however stated that she has a violent past.
  • Extended Disarming: Carries a comically large assortment of sharp impliments with her to the Sports Festival. Inko relieves her of them in short order. It's implied she does this a lot.
  • The Gadfly: Uses her quirk to mess with her relatives.

U.A Staff

U.A's notable Staff Members

    Nezu
Principal of U.A and strange animal of undefined origins

    Deus Yamada
The Vice Principal of U.A and influential hero.
  • Related in the Adaptation: He is the older brother of Present Mic.
  • Disappointed in You: Deus has a healthy respect towards Destro for his conviction and determination despite being a Villain. His son, on the other hand, has failed to live up to his dad's legacy in his eyes
  • Fiction 500: He has enough money to build a spaceship and owns thousands of acres of rainforest just so no one lese can have them.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Appears to see himself as the more responsible one to his younger brother.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: He's always wearing a white suit.
  • Shock and Awe: Most of his powers are lightning based.
  • No-Sell: Treats Re-Destro's first attacks like a stiff breeze, only getting angry when his suit jacket got ruined by it.
  • Pride: The source of his powers, and apparently very deserved.

    Shouta Aizawa

    Hizashi Yamada

Heroes

    Tensei Iida

    Shino Sosaki

    'Jack'

Villains

    Tomura Shigaraki
  • Adaptional Wimp: Gets knocked out by his right hand man and generally acts like a spoiled child obsessed with only fighting All Might.
  • Bad Boss: Appears to not care much for his subordinates and will sacrifice them to fight a losing battle.

    Muscular
  • Curbstomp Battle: Is on the receiving end of one by Augus, Izuku and Momo. We don't even get to see it.
  • Demoted to Extra: Is mentioned for about a single line of dialogue.

     Ms. Kuro
  • Gender Flip: is female in this version for an unspecified reason.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Abandons the villains and contemplates taking up a job as a bartender when things go south.

     Mysterious Batter
A strange monochrome man with four eyes wearing a bassball players uniform.

     Stain
  • Adaptional Villainy: Unlike his canon counterpart his believes appear to have been compromised to the point where he comes up with ways to kill true heroes.

Gods and other Entities

    The Golden Spider

    The Gohma

    Skeith
The Terror of Death from the Dot Hack games, somehow made a real deity.—-
  • Art Initiates Life: it and its sibilings appear to have existed before the .hack games did in this universe.

    The Azure Knights

    Kage
  • Demonic Possession: Pulls this on Katsuki throughout what is implied to be multiple years.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Appears to take a form that looks vaguely like Katsuki but is clearly not human.

Others

     Katsuki Bakugo
  • Berserk Button: Unlike canon, it's not Izuku himself but rather his own uncle Wyzen and being compared to him that sets him off.
  • Demonic Possession: Kage possessed him after Wyzen introduced him to someone who knows the Satsui No Hadou.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: Once he's freed from Kage's control, he and Izuku have a short but genuinely friendly conversation, implying that they could have been friends much earlier.
  • Freudian Excuse: It's heavily implied that he's such a bastard to everyone because his uncle beat it into him.
  • Not Helping Your Case: Tempoarily gets over his possession by Kage to yell that he and Izuku are nothing alike...while Izuku is yelling the same thing.
  • Perpetual-Motion Monster: violence Mantra combined with personality would have turned him into this if his uncle wasn't the most vile man around.
  • Punctuated Pounding: Keeps hitting Izuku in the face with explosions when he brings up that they're actually very alike.
  • You Are What You Hate: Stated by Izuku to be the source of his issues. He hates that he has mantra and projected said hatred onto Izuku to find a reason to be violently angry at him at any opportunity.

    Wyzen Bakugo
  • Evil Uncle: Not evil per say but an utter bastard to everyone around him to the point where no one, not even villains, want to have him on their team.
  • Fat Bastard: He's Katsuki's uncle and a complete jerkass to everyone and is described as having a gut like a wall.
  • The Brute: If his interactions with Katsuki are anything to go by, he is utterly full of himself but can't do much beyond beating people with his massive size.
