If you don't like Cringe Comedy, don't watch this. ANY of this.

What I said on the title is almost everything I can say about this.

This is probably a hell of a lot better written than your average episode of Seinfeld or Curb Your Enthusiasm, and everything, and that is everything, is good — from the music by Randy Newman on the first film (hell, "A Fool In Love" got an OSCAR NOMINATION) up to the perfect Meta exploitation of De Niro's career as "do-not-fuck-with-me-or-lie-to-me-if-you-wanna-keep-breathing" badasses — but if you can't stomach this at all, or if you have been having a bad day overall, then don't watch any films of this series.

Otherwise you are probably going to think that Greg should have punched Mr. Byrnes in the face a la... well, dunno, GoodFellas, maybe?... and gone back home, even if that meant walking back.

Greg Focker is Ben Stiller at his best, and at his most archetypical: poor bastard dragged into some issue and that can't fight back any better than being a Deadpan Snarker. The man deserves sainthood for the act of being in the same room as Jack Byrne for an extended period of time and only taking until the third film to actually start swinging.
