Why is it that apparently some people on this site think that Marge is worse than Homer and Lisa is worse that Bart?

Having written a DMOS on Lisa, I can tell you why I think she is worse: she is a Karma Houdini and a Creator's Pet. Frequently she will do terrible things that cause massive amounts of harm but will get off Scot free because the script says so. My favourite example of this is the ep where she gets a restraining order put on Bart and ends up forcing him to sleep in the yard and prodding him with a screwdriver on a stick. Bart would NEVER do that to Lisa.
But what about all the strife Bart put Lisa through in "My Sister, My Sitter"? how was that by comparison? And exactly how frequently does Lisa cause harm and get off scot free? And does she ever mean to?
Edited by BrianKTHave Marge and Lisa ever been intentionally unsympathetic or even Unintentionally Sympathetic?
- In "Bart After Dark", Marge discovers that when she was gone, Bart accidentally broke a gargoyle on the local Burlesque house, "Maison Derriere", and so her son been working there to pay it off. Her very young son. This would be a pretty good reason for her (or any responsible mother) to go into Mama Bear mode and demand the place to be shut down, but she doesn't so much as says a single word regarding this fact. In the end, the plot makes it clear that her vendetta with Maison Derriere (and Belle) is just that she doesn't likes the fact that they exist, and the fact that she discovered the Maison's existence because she found out that Bart was working there there is a completely unimportant coincidence that she can't even bother to mention as she morally shames the whole town into forming a wrecking mob with Torches and Pitchforks galore.
I'm not sure if Marge was meant to be sympathetic in that episode, given that she was punished at the end for wrecking half of the house.
Hide / Show RepliesShe probably would have, if the story had at the very least made her say "this is not something my kid should be doing".
I know Bart has been seen as Unintentionally Sympathetic a bunch of times, but when has he not been Unintentionally Unsympathetic?
