My opinion is that these should be restored, because
The following were all removed by Sung-Huan.
- Bathe Her and Bring Her to Me: As indicated by Sindel (and one interaction with Cassie Cage), a common practice of Shao Kahn's is to spare women from realms he's conquered just to add them to his concubines. Their willingness is irrelevant — he has Mind Manipulation at his disposal strictly to deal with that.
- Post-Rape Taunt: His marriage to Sindel was not consensual on her part, the only time she was ever "willing" being when she was brainwashed into being his queen. One match intro with Kitana has her say that the thought of the two of them together repulses her. Shao Khan twists the knife by saying that Sindel always pleased him. Unsurprisingly, Kitana is even more driven to kill him after that remark.
- Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: Of all the Big Bads, Shao Kahn is the only one who is known to force women into sexual service — willingly or not. He has absolutely no qualms about using Mind Manipulation to force them into his bed, and will even bring them back from the dead if they escape his clutches through death. In 11, it's the thought of her mother laying with Shao Kahn that angers Kitana the most.
My opinion is that these should be restored, because
- Retcons do not UNDO tropes, especially if the retconning is obvious. Sindel being forced to marry Shao Kahn against her will was her storyarc until her release a short time ago. Not only does that not change the trope, but the fact that the MK 9 continuity is a reboot makes the changes ONLY apply to the new Sindel and not the original one.
- Even taking Sindel aside, Shao Kahn still makes it clear that his intention is to take Cassie as a concubine. While we're never given much more context than that, Bathe Her and Bring Her to Me still applies to that.

Hey, so, there's a lot of references to him being killed in 11, but according to Word of God, Kitana just blinded him, and he's still alive. I was going to go through and change everything to reflect that, but I figured I should take it up here first.
