Looking through their edit history, it seems like they had problems with people listing a character's full name since at least a year ago. It's only in the last month that they've resorted to profanity and all-caps for their edit reasons. I sent them a rudeness notifier on their most recent edit, so we'll see how that goes.

Sigh. I checked, and as I suspected, they changed "eponymous" to "titular". The latter is one of TV Tropes' most misused words; it means "holding a title [in the sense of noble titles, not works] without actually being entitled to it". Not a word we need to use that much around here, and pretty much every time you see it, it should be corrected.
^^ This overlaps with the "Goku vs. Son Goku" debate. It's apparently a big problem in the Dragon Ball fandom.

Because in the early days of the Funimation dub of DBZ, they rarely used Son Goku on it.

Obviously I do not control the other contributors to this thread and everyone is free to do as they please. That said, I don't think anyone should reply to Hackstastic anymore. The issues with "eponymous" and such isn't the point anymore and discussing it is distracting from the problem of their behavior. I'm going to let a mod take over.

Yeah. Like I said, what HacktasticJeste did about the notifiers was up to them, and they doubled down in a fashion I can only watch and wonder what they were trying to achieve.

Well, the 2nd definition of titular
on Merriam Webster seems to allow it to refer to the eponymous character of a work.
But anyways, there is nothing wrong with using the word eponymous either, for some variety.
