YMMV pages are about categorizing opinions, but that doesn't give someone the right to dominate a page with their own viewpoint. I wouldn't mind you reverting the edits.

I think we should also notify the troper in question that their biased edits are not welcome.

Yeah, they need a tap on the shoulder.

Also semi-related, when they added Naya Rivera's death to the Trivia page's The Production Curse entry, who I might add was found dead like two days ago, their edit reason was simply just "sad", not even with a capital S.

Yeah, it's not cool. We can't just erase opinions like that, even if they are "homophobic" (which I'm pretty sure isn't broad enough to cover "criticizing LGBT characters").

I was just checking over their edit history and looking at their edits to the main Glee page, and, again, they seem awfully insistent on downplaying Santana's horrible behavior by making slight edits to and even outright removing certain examples that happen to be critical of her. It's not as bad as it is on the YMMV page, but it's still pretty noticeable: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Series.Glee#edit26499892.

I mean, Santana calls Finn fat (even though he's really not that overweight), "a taco addict who's had one-too-many back-alley liposuctions" and "Lumps, the Clown" all within the span of a minute. So homophobia is bad, but body-shaming is suddenly okay? Santana is being a bully in these scenes, there's no two ways about it, and it just seems really strange that this troper is trying to downplay that.

"Lakingsif" seems like a familiar name. Have they been reported before?

By now, it should be clear to all except the most dense of us that sheep are secretly conspiring to kill us all and steal our pants.

If it's okay with everyone else, I was thinking of reverting the edits lakingsif made.

This query was the previous thread about the Glee recap pages before this thread mentioned them... sort of. It was actually about a TV Tropes article the Glee recap page writers wrote about their own work, which was cut because of Auto-Erotic Troping.

That's okay - I didn't think it would warrant a complaint, just re-add it if the consensus is that it's fine. Tropers delete and add text a lot, I don't see how this warrants a complaint. Admittedly, though I used to be around on TVT a lot, I am now old without the free time and don't know if complaint standards have changed. I pop in every month or so, and when I read that text, I perceived it as homophobic because while it's an opinion, it's written like the 'correct' opinion and brings up some things I find problematic. Of course (as mentioned), after I started the Glee recaps they became messy so it was probably inevitable the rest of the subpages would. I tried to clean-up off topic, as well, not just about Finn or Santana, and am in no way biased. Several of the commenters above knew me back when I was regular here, so they'll know that. And that I was not the one to add all the Finn-hating to the recaps.

I'll probably not be around again for a while, but thought I should reply. There's no bad blood, not that I like the accusations. Hopefully my track record precedes me. And thanks Arivne (like ever!) for notifying me.

EDIT: I also don't think I edited The Production Curse? I may have edited the entry on Glee's trivia page, but just edits, not additions? It's been a week and my memory's fried, but I think that was the reason I did more editing, because other tropers were adding stuff about Naya Rivera and I saw how messy it had gotten. Now I'm done - see you in a few months and happy troping.

^ Ah, my mistake — you had edited The Production Curse, but just with an update, someone else added the situation with Naya before then. My bad!
