Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Because the page is specifically supposed to trope the games (and theoretically the DiC animated series, which don't have character pages), film actors should not be listed.
Edited by bwburke94 I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool."but every other character has their Illumination actor listed, plus that of the live-action film"
Well, they shouldn't either.
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThat does sound fair.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonI think it works to leave adaptations off the games' character sheet. Less work in the future to keep it updated, too.
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Senor Cornholio has added actors from other media back into the character page for the video games and he didn't even wrote a reason as to why he did that.
Don't worry. I already took care of it.
As we all know, The Super Mario Bros. Movie has a character page, which includes tropes for the specific versions of the characters depicted in that movie. This, of course, includes the voice actors.
However, the greater Mario franchise has its own character page and I assume this is because the characters we see in the games are, apart from their basic characteristics, different people from the characters we will see in the movie.
Both pages include sections for their voice actors and I believe it's unnecessary to include the voice actors for the upcoming movie in the page for the game versions of the characters.
I deleted Chris Pratt and Charlie Day from the character page from the games because they're already listed in the character page for the movie.
Troper lbssb added them back, however, with this argument: "I know these were removed on the grounds that the movie has its own character page, but every other character has their Illumination actor listed, plus that of the live-action film, which also has its own page."
So, what do you think?
