Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Is this an example? may help you with that, but I'd think Fan-Disliked Explanation works within the work as well. Why is it not in Ace Attorney is because nobody bothered to add it. The previously linked thread can assist with adding examples as well.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup^The character in question (Lusamine) is from Pokémon Sun and Moon, so she wouldn't be listed on an Ace Attorney-related page.
Edit: I don't see either Fan-Disliked Explanation or Unintentionally Unsympathetic on either YMMV.Pokemon Sun And Moon or YMMV.Pokemon Ultra Sun And Ultra Moon, so I don't know why they were brought up.
Edit: They're not on YMMV.Pokemon, either.

The query asks to either 1. remove Lusamine from Fan-Disliked Explanation page on the basis that "Freudian Excuse didn't come from the sequel or supplementary material", or to 2. add Ace Attorney to the page because of "Red Herring villains that feel like Ass Pull".
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup^I know you weren't proposing anything. I made my previous post because the opening post confusingly mentions a character from one series without mentioning said series, then goes on to mention a completely unrelated series.
(But based on your post, it looks like those were the only parts of that post that I didn't misread. I probably need sleep.)
Edit: As for the definition of Fan-Disliked Explanation as a whole, that would be better suited to Trope Talk in general instead of just the "Is this an example?" thread.
Edited by GastonRabbit Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Amonimous summed up what I was asking beautifully
I always under the impression that this trope was reserved for unsatisfactory explanations provided in SUBSEQUENT installments of series. However, Lusamine's past as revealed in the post-game is listed as an example. While I agree that her backstory makes her fall under "Unintentionally Unsympathetic" I'm confused if it's a true example given it was established in her debut. So is the example on that page a mistake or are we allowed to include explantations provided in the same work the question was asked? If the latter we're missing quite a few Ace Attorney cases as there are several cases (Turnabout Succession, Turnabout Ablaze, Turnabout Academy, Turnabout for Tomorrow, and Turnabout Revolution) where fans consensus seems to be the Red Herring would've been better than the actual solution.
