I'm not even sure if half the examples in Uncanny Valley are legitimate. Dissonant Serenity? Uncanny Valley. Emotionless boy? Uncanny Valley. Anything remotely creepy, intentional or not, gets stuck under here.

A while ago I exiled great swaths of I Got a Rock to the Troper Tales page and the entire Real Life category from Brand Names Are Better to the Trivia page.

^^ That's it. There's an entry that says:

Mascots. Just... mascots.

Really? How "realistic" are they?

If a few of us attack it, that should reduce the amount put back on. I'll take Other and Real Life if that's cool. I've got no idea with Anime, so I'll leave that for others.

I have a question about the Nightmare Fuel (high octane or not) pages: do we even try to de-natter them, or just accept that they're lost to natter, first-person/This Troper posts, and Conversation In The Main Page?

Well, I'm gonna give that cleanup of They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot a whirl later today. I just want some form of vouching/permission from the mods before I actually go through with it; y'know, just in case the outraged tropers try to raise shit and give me trouble.

Just leave an edit reason, and move questionable examples to the discussion page, so that they can be talked about.

If there are people contesting subjective examples, delete that.

I've done it. After wasting five hours of my time, I'm finally cleaned up that page.

For some strange reason, whenever I try to post my reason being the cleanup (including the questionable entries) in the discussion page, it won't let me do so. This has me a wee bit bothered, because when some troper finds out about the cleanup and see that there's no discussion for the edit proper (and be promptly outraged), I'll probably be first in line for their bitching...

^^ I'm a regular participant here, my mental health was already in question.

Anyway, I'm not sure I have that much patience. I may later go and see about high octane going where it's supposed to go, as not as many people seem to miss the intentional/unintentional dichotomy as they do all other editing guidelines.

^^ Might be a length issue. I remember when I was archiving old Dethroning Moment Of Suck entries in discussion, I'd have to chop them into blocks or it wouldn't let me post.

Politically Correct History is in serious need of de-Nattering and a curator.

Improbable Age is full of natter and people arguing about technicalities. Last I checked there were also some pretty dubious examples, like the Soul Eater one.

Crippling Overspecialization is full of Natter in the RTS examples and has several examples that miss out on the "crippling" part of the trope.

I chainsawed the RTS section of Crippling Overspecialization. Purged the aversions and anything that had "one super weakness".

Misplaced Nationalism sure has a lot on natter and conversations.

SORAS isn't doing too good. Can someone check that I didn't miss anything?

Not quite a deworming, but I got all the grapeshot "averted"s that Ctrl-F could find for me out of Standard Female Grab Area.

What Do You Mean, It's Not Political? has natter, arguments, justifications, and I spy at least one This Troper.
