Well, Kentok, I could say it's self-explanatory, with you being a fan of Cerebus, but...sure. I'll delve in a bit deeper.
Cerebus as you play him is most definitely a Byronic Hero. Many times we're shown how horrible a person he can be, whether it's when he recounts his many Comedic Sociopathy / Jerkass moments from the past, or performs said actions in the present. He is scathingly sarcastic to many aspects of his life, and it's taken great restraint on his part not to punch some of the members of the cast. Yet, he's also shown in: his flashbacks to the past, his musings of life both present and past, and his awkward attempts to Pet the Dog...that he hates himself worse then even he hates Dave, and that he just wants to find happiness and love as well, showing how we're supposed to empathize with him and his plight, even if some of the things he does we shake our head at. So, basically, Cerebus as a character from a thought-provoking comic series allows you to play the serious and the ridiculous already makes him a multi-dimensional character, and the fact he can travel all over the multiverse with this particular cast of characters allows for him to be able to influence and be influenced by his travels yet always find a home base to be able to keep those changes semi-consistent.
...And I doubt I stated anything you didn't already know.

We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Hm. Has a character from Maria Holic been played?
It even gives the title the cross. Impressive.

Not to my knowledge...why? You gonna spring a trap on us?
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Of course. Just need to actually finish watching the series, of course.

Well, I do try to keep my characters at least somewhat distinct from one another rather than seeming like they're all the same person with different names and appearances.
They're not all supposed to be humorous though. Jacky and Nichole are supposed to be funny sometimes but also should have moments of seriousness... Adrian is supposed to be a more serious person. Jennifer... yeah she is supposed to be humorous. Siennabi and Joy are just friendly and reasonably easygoing. Gina used to be a lot more serious and is still one of my saner characters but she does have her quirk with the petrification thing.
At least that's what I'm going for, whether or not it actually works is another thing.
Stupid doomed timeline...Well, that was interesting. Actually, it might help on my rereading of Cerebus. I first became a fan of Cerebus last summer. But this time, I'm taking my time reading. About done with High Society.

You can get what you want and still not be very happy.I see. And...help on your rereading? Huh...didn't know it could do that...
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)I see. Again, I'm not really good at doing this sort of thing but I'm determined to try and be helpful. After all, you did the same for me, Oz. It's only fair I repay your kindness.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.I have a more firmer grasp on the main character now..
You can get what you want and still not be very happy.Sweet.
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Well, I appreciate it. It's good to have an external perspective on these things.
I'd like to ask people how I am doing with Jennifer; does she seem more quirky (as is my intention) or LOLRANDUMB (which is what I was worried she might become). By LOLRANDUMB I mean like people who think shouting "PINEAPPLE SQUID SANDWICHES!" or something is random and funny.
Stupid doomed timeline...Her train of thought is coherent, and she's not using Inherently Funny Words or Word Salad. So, yeah. The former, Oz.

We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Ah, good, good. Thanks. :)
And I should get to sleep now.
Stupid doomed timeline...I still need to read about some economic and government stuff, there's a shitload of talk about interest rates, tariffs, house seats..that kind of talk. At least in High Society.
You can get what you want and still not be very happy.@Oz: Well, I'll do what I can. I'll be as honest as I can. Anyway, if you're going to sleep, I'll see you tommorrow. Hopefully I'd have something written up by then.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.I hope I did ok with Etna.
Yeah, you did well. She was a lot more amiable then I expected, which is nice.

We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)@Imca: You did fine.
As for me, I should try to read other people's posts more carefully and not assume. Again, I'm sorry about that.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.I tried to balance Etna's Natural temper with the ability to socialize. Any way I have to go to work, Bye.
And it was fine Wren.

@Imca: Later.
...And I was talking about...nevermind. And we're going to end up with some backstory if anyone's interested.

Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.Back for just a second because I just had a massive bit of fridge horror our prinny, quincy will never reincarnate... at least not for a long time. Netherworld prinnies pay is so important to them because the money a netherworld prinny earns is what goes to there reincarnation... And since he is not a celestia prinny where it is good deeds, and he is not a slave any more... and the money has to be earned... the poor guy locked himself as a prinny by running away, since he no longer makes money.
Oh. Now you people catch on?
Then again, not like Etna was even paying Quincy in cash anyways. Etna pays her slaves with fish, remember?

We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)Hopefully the djinni was an ok one off character. Admittedly, I didn't have much planned for her. Maybe I'll have her travel a bit off screen and return later.
...I'm sorta surprised that I've been coming up with far more lines for Naeka than Kogarashi. I guess it's cause he's pretty similar to Character!Hilarity in a lot of ways, and I've been lacking in lines for him recently as well. And Naeka is slightly less used to the general madness of the avatars in general, which can be entertaining to write.
And I don't see what's so bad about the prinny's fate. He's, well, she's a human now, so... um... yeah.

@Rai: ...Ah. Just a brief summary then...Most of your characters I already know and since you play them pretty much to the letter, I can only give you praise there and I'd have to look at your playing style and comment on that...but I won't if that's what you want.
@Oz: Unlike Rai, I don't know the trolls from Homestuck, so I'd have to give a comment on your playing style. You seem to keep people guessing from what they mights say or do next while others seem a bit predictable. This isn't a bad thing. They also have rather humurous characters and quirks which you bring out rather well.
...Again, these were just small comments. I'm not sure how I'd do with a proper analyisis.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.
