I know this has come up before, but rewatching Part 4 still, I'm up to where Bites the Dust kills Jotaro... and by god the fissure that shows up on his face looks almost exactly like the prediction from Part 3, and his death in Part 6.

[up]That's exactly the point. No matter how vague they are, Thoth's predictions are always 100% correct. Jotaro may not have been fated to eat the tangerine bomb, nor was Kira fated to become the victor, but Jotaro was always fated to die from having his face split open.

I think I may have found a solution to my personal gripes with DIO. ...I feel he should've been a case of Used to Be a Sweet Kid, who ended up rejecting his humanity because his sheer, morbid curiosity corrupted him over the years upon learning about the Phantom Mask. Granted, I wouldn't want to abandon his backstory with Dario, but I felt as though him trying to ruin Jonathan's life from when they first met ruined any chance of me being swayed by DIO's alleged charisma. He was too effective of a Hate Sink in my eyes. If he had been on shaky terms with Jonathan due to his conditions of being raised by Dario, but grew to accept the Joestar lifestyle before he uncovered what the Phantom Mask was capable of, not to mention not attempting to assassinate George while he was still human, I think DIO could've won me over. Sure, he didn't have to like Jonathan, but I was disgusted at how much he was trying to ruin his life for little reason, and because he never really changed, I wasn't won over by him in Part 3 either. If DIO had this differing personality in Part 1, and then kept the way he acted in Part 3 intact, I could buy that, because he's now a vampire who's had 100 years to reminisce about how he should live his life.

Tl;dr, DIO would've won me over had he been a morally ambiguous character who Jumped Off the Slippery Slope following the revelation of the Phantom Mask's powers.

You know, I would at least hope that the Stone Ocean credits will be as cinematic as the "Last Train Home" credits? But that's probably just wishful thinking.

Even though I don't think "What a Wonderful World" will be the Stone Ocean ED, I'm pretty certain it'll be included in the anime adaptation's final episode, mainly because, even though it's not public domain yet, the song is ridiculously cheap to license. I mean, its usage for Soundtrack Dissonance in so many different media sources is one thing, but look at the song's price on iTunes. All of the songs on the album of the same name cost $1.29... except for "What a Wonderful World". It only costs 69¢. (And no, I refuse to make the obvious joke)

No, it'll be 3/4 episodes per month. It'll be releasing on a weekly schedule in Japan, and Netflix will be releasing those episodes in monthly chunks.

[up][up] I guess that's better than Netflix jail, but it's still such a baffling decision. Netflix has done weekly releases before. Why can't they do that here again?

You know, I just thought of something. Besides Koichi and Yukako, have there ever been any JoJo characters who've kissed before? And I don't mean on the cheek like with Holly and Kira, I mean actual lip locking. (And no, I don't count DIO kissing Erina; that was out of spite)

Maybe Netflix money means they don't have to censor the references this time around.

It is the censor, Stone Ocean is the censored name. Stone Free is the original and more meaningful name.
