Remember, Edolas moves in parallel to the main universe, and Edolas weren't stuck in stasis; so this will be a good chance to see how the cast would have looked had they actually aged in those seven years.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I figure Elentir must be yet another paralell universe.
new chapter out ding ding ding we have a winner.
Maid Nightwalker....dammit Mashima.
One Strip! One Strip!YES MASHIMA!!!
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Wonder if he's gonna do more with Mystogan and Wendy cause that felt a bit wasted back in Edolas.
Secret Signature- They did in the back of a car, damn that's spicy. Though I wonder if Earth-Lucy's just too unsure of herself being with Natsu being..well Natsu. She's had to cope with her insecurities and questioning her abilities before but still, Edo-Lucy's right, it could happen one day.
- Still wasn't expecting Edo-Juvia to have taken such a level a in kindness.
- Any time Natsu and Grey fight over anything, I always refer to this quote from Digimon Tri Abridged, even though its cute they're both Papa Wolfs for kids that aren't theirs.
- Sometimes I wonder if you two aren't mad at each other, and you think it's funny when we got worried.
- Gimme a sequel spin-off series with Nasha and Greige visiting Earth for like a year or something before going back lol, I know that's how to trigger the anime community now but they're that cute.
- Never mind, a 12 episode prequel with Edoloas Fairy Tail fighting the Royal Guards would be dope lol.
Alright, everyone owes Yakuzu 4 beers and 200 bucks, dude you called it.
I owe him nothing!
One Strip! One Strip!I miss when A-1 Pictures animated Fairy Tail. Like I'm not that much of an animation junkie and I'm sure many people can point out many examples and other anime where they've messed up (did they animate The Asterisk War cuz apparently someone did a like a 4 hour video on it) but looking back on the first 14 seasons, the fights were way more fluid and engaging to watch.
I'm not a big animation junkie at all and can be okay with basically anything.
But the final anime was unforgivably terrible with its animation quality. Next to it, everything before looked like the best stuff in MHA.
I mainly notice differences in terms of how characters look, I guess. Like, Gajeel's hair gets way different suddenly in the middle of GMG and after a hundred or so episodes of being the same.
But in terms of fighting and stuff? Everything looked fine and good to me until the final anime.

Chapter is out. So we get some more info on Elentir and the White Witch's plot. She's actually NOT the White Witch that Jellal heard about, but she seeks to steal magic from Earthland for the sake of stopping Selene? Also Elentir is supercharged with magic and there are also Exceeds in it.
Secret Signatureforgot about the X-balls.
One Strip! One Strip!New chapter:
Selene goes full asshole in order to make whatshername look a bit less bad. More to the point, she transports everyone to Elentir....which is weird, since she didn't even lose her magic power in Edolas at all.
One Strip! One Strip!LOL with Edolas Wendy. 'Oh, some kind of moon goddess with power so great to summon night itself took them away. Whatever they're probably fine'
Still cute she treats her like a little sister though yeah it is hilarious. Although yeah, Faris did mess up, Selene is equally as bad here.
Crawfsdwarf returns to his Fairy Tail Tirade videos in order to evaluate how well his criticisms of Fairy Tail hold up years later. Judging by his opinion on the very first tirade video being full of bad faith arguments, not by much.
Okay, weird thought, but I was thinking of if the Dragon Slayers had Competitive Balance against each other and looking back on all the battles, to me it feels like this:
- Natsu: Jack of All Stats with overall stat boosts from his different modes.
- Gajeel: Mighty Glacier, only compared to everyone else since he's taken hits, poison, drowning, and most attacks that would kill anyone else. He's not slow, though he doesn't have any spells that really focus on speed.
- Laxus: Lightning Bruiser: Do I even need to say why?
- Wendy: Squishy Wizard: Only in base, since she needs to Status Buff herself.
- Cobra: Magic Knight: I'm not sure where he lies overall, but he's got the most amount of unique abilities and attacks out of the Dragon Slayers besides maybe Natsu.
- Sting: Glass Cannon: He's just all Attack. It's not like he's fragile, far from it, but dude's arsenal is massive.
- Rogue: Fragile Speedster: His shadows give him insane mobility and he can't be touched by normal means, but Gajeel was able to overpower and withstand his attacks pretty easily. When he lost control, he definitely got stronger though.
Tbh, I've had a similar reaction; I don't hate Fairy Tail, I was just going through massive burnout.
When I read 100 Year Quest, I was surprised by how much I was enjoying things again.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I haven't even watched this video, but is sound like this guy is reading my mind if 's post is anything to go on.
100 Year's Quest feels like it's found it's footing again.
One Strip! One Strip!I think people were just expecting things from Fairy Tail that it wasn't even trying to give.
Fairy Tail shouldn't have massively increased its scope and stakes if it wasn't going to commit to them.
But they did commit. The Dark Guilds, Tatoros, Alveraz, all that was built up.
And it was all solved with just yelling Nakama at the top of their lungs and overpowering their lungs.
And by they, I mean Natsu and Erza.
One Strip! One Strip!
Didn't expect to end up back in Edolas again. There's a lot of questions here: what is the White Witch's plan exactly? What's Nightwalker up to? What's Elentir?
Also, I totally forgot that time would have continued on for the Edolas people, so they actually look as old as the other characters should be.
Also, she' says it's been 9 years since they saw each other, so that gives us a confirmation of the ages of the characters now.
