MOM feels like he was implemented as a tease for the next set of games, post-Xehanort (and maybe a retcon so that he could be the Voice in Dive To The Heart, even though it was intended to be Mickey).

I'm very interested to see where else he pops up in future games.

tl;dr No other dubs because it takes a lot of time and he wanted the game to have an international release.

There's supposed to be a minigame where you search for Hidden Mickeys.

None of the main world bosses will be shown off before the game comes out.

Thanos confirmed for Kingdom Hearts IV.

I know a lot of people want to fight the Kraken to make up for it being Killed Offscreen in the movies.

Though I'm actually okay with that - that the grandest creature in all the sea dies anticlimactically at the hands of a slimy corporation is the whole point. "World's still the same, mate. Just less in it."

Though really, if the Kraken's dead couldn't Luxord just bring it back as a Heartless?

Or he could rewind time maybe.

I mean I find it more likely that the Kracken would be replaced by a Heartless themed after the creature. which can turn invisible and have Davy Jones sniping from at atop of it.

I'd like to see Cutler Beckett kill it. Then Luxord slaps him in the face while calling him an idiot then turns it into a Heartless.

I envisioned a similar scene for a fanfic of mine, actually. I can see it now...

Beckett: “Behold, the beast is dead! This is no longer an age of magic and monsters, but of reason and man! The oceans hold no sway over us.”

Luxord: “...You fucking idiot.”

Ooh yeah, I do wonder what Beckett's role will be. The Pirates world having three main villains (Jones, Beckett, and Luxord) would be pretty crowded.

I get the feeling Beckett will be cut and Luxord will take his place.

I mean, there's a part of me that's into weird esoteric readings of things that would be interested in Xehanort being read as a take on colonialism.

But that take gets weird given he's from a tropical island himself.

Anyway, Luxord specifically can probably replace Beckett. Smug british human asshole.

So... would anyone else be geekily happy if KHIII had The Galaxy Far, Far Away as a Brutal Bonus Level, with Darth Vader or Sidious as the ultimate Bonus Boss of the game?

Ehh. I'm kind of morally opposed to anything that makes it look good that everything is consolidating into larger and larger Mega Corps.

This could've also happened if copyright expired after 28 years no exceptions, like it was originally meant to.
