I really hope Whats-His-Face (Penny's new "boyfriend" whom she's basicly using so she isn't alone for the holidays) is gone for good after tonight. He's Too Dumb to Live and it's irritating. Sure, he seems like a nice guy, but I just can't get passed how stupid he is and the fact that he seems to think he's smart. >.<
We're going to spread this shit like Nutella. Is the Laugh Track still horribly obnoxious? Last episode I saw every joke was the funniest thing anyone ever said ever — at least to the invisible audience.
It's not over. Not yet. They have a real live audience as shown by a chuck lorre vanity plate.
You lost! Then they must be bringing in morons, because I could swear it's way more annoying than it was in previous seasons.
A good laugh track is barely noticeable. A bad laugh track is one that screams "this is funny! Laugh at it!"

It's not over. Not yet.Just seen the Justice league episode, I think it was the first episode in the season that was legitimately hilarious. Plus fan service = yay! I hope next year they dress up as the Episode 6 SW ensemble, if you know what I mean.
Tonight's episode was pure hilarity with a dash of sexual tension. And I loved every bit of it. Howard and Bernadette doing Sonny and Cheir = Crowning Moment Of Funny.
We're going to spread this shit like Nutella. What made it even funnier was the way Penny desperately apologizes to Sheldon when she hears it.
Insert witty one-liner here.Even better was the entire Panel scene. I loved Leonard's Big "NO!" moment!
We're going to spread this shit like Nutella.I swear I cried laughing after Penny apologized to Sheldon. Funniest episode yet. Not even Amy could ruin it. Even though the Fan Dumb are complaining there were no nerdy jokes (I liked the Star Trek ones...)
The last panel was so odd. First of all, a Microbiologist, an engineer , three physicists and a Microbiology grad student in the same panel? That was bizarre to begin with. Then Raj actually spoke! And it got even more bizarre from now onwards. If I lived in that world, I would make sure to go to all of Sheldon's conferences and panels, because it seems they are all very entertaining ...

Raj was shown drinking a daquri, so it made sense that he was able to speak. But yeah, it was a little odd, but it worked.
We're going to spread this shit like Nutella. My mother refuses to watch the show on the pretext that anyone who considers protectiveness of the Best Spot amusing rather than simple good couch-sense cannot possibly be a good writer.
^_^ I fucking love my family.
A True Lady's Quest - A Jojo is You!So I just saw the episode where Howard was cybering with some troll in World of Warcraft and... I'm not a WoW player, but I was under the impression that that wasn't possible. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
It's not over. Not yet.New episode. One word: Hilarious! Sheldon acting as Leonard's pimp totally made my night. I could hardly breathe; I was laughing so hard.
We're going to spread this shit like Nutella.I hate how the focus has shifted to everyone's suddenly crazy active sex lives. It's like one or two token nerd references per episode, then everything else is sexy shenanigans. I also totally called that Lucille (err, whatever her character's name was) would come on to Leonard within the first two seconds of her introduction.
Rawr!^^Um... the show has always been about their sex lives, with a few jokes about being nerdy thrown in. I'm not complaining, I do love the show, but honestly it could be called "The Sex Lives Of Nerds And Also Their Hot Neighbor."
^^ Not really. It was pretty much about Leonard's crush on Penny, and even that wasn't a huge deal in season 2. Besides that, it was mostly about their awesome geeky lives; sure, they obviously wanted women, but there weren't relationship troubles and Leonard wasn't banging every female guest star on the show. The ratio has shifted tremendously, which I don't really care for.
And this week Leonard gets a girlfriend which upsets Penny! Wooo.
I approve of last episode.
You lost!Pretty sure it has always been about their sex lives (or lack thereof) Heck. The show began with Leonard and Sheldon masturbating for money.
It was nice seeing Amy actually help Sheldon grow, even in such a bizare way. Too bad she forgot to tell Sheldon not to do whatever he did during the fund raiser and instead try to suck it up and be a hypocrite for money.
It seems the Can't-talk-to-women gimmick is being gradually taken away. It seems that lately Raj is always drinking something but somehow manages not to have the side effects he used to get with them. I bet that they are waiting until people stop noticing it and then they will start letting him talk even without taking a drink...
Oh, and Leonard, rushing to go hook up with Raj's Sister instead of comforting Howard.
Oh god, last episode. Bernadette glasses-less with only sheets covering her. Throw the Dog a Bone indeed.

It's not over. Not yet.I don't think I like this show as much as I used to.
Leonard is pushed to the background, which is somewhat logical seeing how his story-arc has basically come to a very permanent end. Lenny and Penny are over, every single hint of them still having feelings for each other feels like digging up a corpse.
Howard is no longer as funny with the addition of Bernadette, who is just plain dull and not funny 9 out of 10 times. While the joke of Howard the solitary-sex-fiend can't be used forever, it still had some potential, getting him together with Bernadette came a little bit too soon, now half the jokes Howard was all about are no longer packing their punch. Not only that, but it screwed up the dynamics between him and Raj.
Speaking of which, Raj is just hanging by for his dear life. With Howard having a girlfriend, Sheldon having Amy, and Leonard getting his groove on with women who are too goodlooking for him, Raj is just dangling there pointlessly.
Amy is just trying too hard. I really thought adding Blossom to the cast was a good idea, but she has outstayed her welcome in my eyes. We get it, she's sort of like Sheldon, except that Amy is a lot more socially aware. With Amy around Sheldon has a direct link to someone who can explain normal behaviour to him. Unlike Leonard, Amy seems a little bit too succesful. Sheldon is a bit too quick to accept Amy's behaviour. Amy is only "weird" when she's around other people, when she's around Sheldon she's the expert on what is normal, without making Sheldon look more alien. That isn't a good thing, because Sheldon's alien outlook and attitude is what sells the character, now that he has someone he actually listens to in social matters that alien-vibe he's giving off isn't exaggerated, but it's being downplayed. I don't like that.
As for the stories, I never really watched it for the stories, I don't think people watch this show for that reason, it's all about the interaction between characters. Interaction that's not as fun and as dynamic as it used to be.
Alright, I visited some old roommates and they had the first season on DVD, so that was my first introduction to the show. The first episode I saw was late in the season where Penny tried to throw Leonard a birthday party, which resulted in Howard eating a granola bar to incite his allergy to peanuts (to keep Leonard out of the house and in the hospital with him) and Sheldon spending hours at a computer store (shopping for a present) helping customers with tech support. Certainly amusing but I think it was the Season Finale where Penny breaks up with her most recent boyfriend and Leonard admits his feelings to her that cemented this show for me. Enough that I watched the entire season from the beginning over the next two days.
What sold me in the season finale was Sheldon's use of Schrodingers Cat. It was actually a brilliant merging of scientific principles with social interaction, with Penny needing an extended explanation and with Leonard all Sheldon had to say was "Schrodingers Cat." "That's brilliant!" "Did you expect anything else?" The general sense of accuracy in the show makes it that much more enjoyable.
Of course, I think I know most of the major story points after the first season already because of TV Tropes (is there a trope TV Tropes Will Spoil All Your Favorite Shows And Movies?). But I could tell from the first episode I saw that Sheldon would be the Ensemble Dark Horse, those type of outlandish quirky characters always are. And I had a co-worker singing "Soft Kitty" at work (and trying to explain it to me) long before I ever saw the show, I see now why it is so popular.
I am starting to hope amy is gone, it seems that he presence is correlated with not being able to laugh as well with an episode as before.
