The idea is based on a comedy sit article I read where they put the stars of non-zombie movies into zombie movie scenarios. You do the same with other non-zombie stuff. The list of criteria for the game.

  • Weapons:
  • Allies:
  • Defensive Situation:
  • Phsyical and Mental Toughness:
  • Final Verdict:
  • Body Count: (# of kills and of what group of beings. status of main character (Survived, Dead, Zombiefied))

Right, now let's see...

Gollum!

Weapons: Teeth (as well as being sharp, they're also really dirty), possibly the One Ring although that's not so much a weapon as a tool, hands and feet.

Allies: Officially none, although Frodo and Bilbo are helping him.

Defensive Situation: Gollum, Frodo and Bilbo are trapped in a tower in Mordor, where Saruman - who is NOT allied with Sauron - accidentally unleashed zombies from his scientific experiments with the uruk-hai (don't ask). They are currently on the third floor of the tower. The first floor has been overrun by zombies, the second floor has been barricaded. Trapped in the tower with the three hobbits (or two hobbits and one ex-hobbit) are three orcs, one of which has been bitten, a pretentious elf princess who refuses to fight, a grizzled dwarf war veteran, and a misandrist Straw Feminist who hates everyone for... something. Just to let people in on the joke, LOTR fanfics often have Mary Sues like this.

Physical and Mental Toughness: Physically, Gollum probably wouldn't survive a couple of bullets to the chest but he'd survive for extended periods in particularly nasty environments (so if the orcs start to smell a bit...). Mentally? He's as crazed as Rambo, but has a ring that can turn him invisible instead of a machete.

Final Verdict: So, after lots of planning, and the beheading of the infected orc, the survivors, led by Gollum, decide to do what they do best: charge straight into battle against the zombies in a pathetic attempt at survival. Needless to say, this is Gollum's plan. Gollum himself escapes the tower, but everyone else is killed because... well, he killed them himself. The zombies were no trouble whatsoever. So, Gollum manages to crawl his way from the tower to the dead marshes, where he is safe... until Frodo, as a zombie, attacks him from behind and tears him apart.

Body Count: 0 zombies, 3 orcs, 2 hobbits, 1 elf, 1 human, 1 dwarf, 1 ex-hobbit DEAD

Íñigo Montoya

  • Weapons: Sword.
  • Allies: Fezzik and Westley the Dread Pirate Roberts.
  • Defensive Situation: after defeating the six-fingered man, Íñigo casually meets Roberts and Fezzik at the pub, not knowing it'll be in a short while surrounded by zombies.
  • Phsyical and Mental Toughness: Excellent swordsmanship. Being The Determinator may be troublesome if he ever gets bitten.
  • Final Verdict: they barely manage to escape the pub, only to find out the town has been overrun. On the way to the arsenal they meet Buttercup, who has been bitten and demands that Roberts kill her before she becomes a zombie. He beheads her with his eyes shut. A bigger wave of zombies approach, which they fight, but it forces them out of the town. On the road they are surrounded by a horde of zombified thieves and they are overwhelmed.
  • Body Count: 36 zombies, 2 humans, 3 zombified.

Captain Scott Mitchell

  • Weapons: Any firearm he can pick up and carry. Usually though, he goes for the Crye Associates Modular Rifle-Caseless, a fifty round, bullpup 5.56 millimeter caliber caseless assault rifle with four times magnification scope and selective fire.
  • Allies: His team. They may consist of numerous different soldiers. Being ranked Captain, he probably has command over a whole company, roughly one hundred troops. However, we'll go with worst case scenario here and say that the rest of his company not out on operations when the outbreak hit have been zombified. I'll leave Jose "Joe" Ramirez, rifleman, Marcus Brown, support gunner, Bo Jenkins, grenadier, and Alicia Diaz, marksman, all sergeants; with Captain Mitchell.
  • Defensive Situation: They just retrieved the Nuclear Football from some rebels that staged a coup d'etat in Mexico City. They're currently at the US Embassy in the city. Unfortunately, it was previously reduced to rubble a day or two back, earlier in the conflict.
  • Physical And Mental Toughness: Captain Mitchell and his team are soldiers; they're about as mentally tough as they come. They also show great physical strength, as they can carry large weapons and large supplies of munitions. Captain Mitchell himself may have Super-Strength, as he can fire a fifty-caliber anti-material rifle while standing up.

Final Verdict: Odds are, Captain Mitchell and his team could cut down wave after wave of zombies. They're highly skilled special forces troops, after all. However, in the end, they'd eventually run out of munitions. This would spell the end of our heroes unless some US military forces were still operational. The zombie kill count might rise into the thousands, if enough ammo is found, but unless some other units arrive for extraction, there is no hope.
  • Body Count: 1337 zombies killed, 5 humans zombified unless other US military units arrive.

House MD

Weapons: Not particularly formidable at first glace, but there are all sorts of nasty medical tools to use.

Team: The people at Princeton Plainsboro.

Defensive situation: The hospital is the starting place for a hideos zombie epidemic.. House's actual office is right out as a safe zone due to all the glass walls. The morgue must be avoided at all times, as must most of the wards. My personal choice? The surgery area. No windows, medicals supplies, and lots of sharp and nasty pieces of kit for slicing up zombies.

Physical and Mental Strength: Poor. House can only walk with a cane, and while the others are able-bodied, they are unlikely to have any combat training. Only Wilson has been seen handling a gun, and he is a poor shot. How well their psyches would hold up is suspect. Whether his companions could hold up emotionally during the horror of a zombie outbreak is something that, as they have never been put under similar pressures, is unknown.

Final Verdict:Due to House & co.'s medical knowledge, they attempt to create a cure or vaccine. They test it on a zombie, and it miraculously, works. They decide to create an explosive device which will splatter the zombies with the cure. Chase, being the Cosmic Plaything, will end up pulling the short straw for luring the zombies. This he does, gathering the zombies together by using the speaker systems, but at the cost of being torn apart and zombiefied. The cure is released, reducing a full 25 zombies to nomal corpses. The team believe they are safe, venture out, and are promptly maimed by the rest of the zombies that weren't exposed to the cure.

Body count: 25 zombies, 7 humans, 1 zombiefied.

Using the avatar for this: Hawley Griffin

  • Weapons: Anything and everything he can find lying around, and his unique...talent.

  • Allies: Either The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, the Martians, or, most likely, no-one.

  • Defensive Situation: Doctor Frankenstein had been meddling with experiments yet again, and unleashed yet another version of his monster. Unfortunately, this version longs for human flesh and is capable of transforming others into similar states as him. And as soon as these abominations encircle London, there isn't much the Invisible Man can do...

  • Phsyical and Mental Toughness: Physically quite strong, and there's also the invisibility to count about. But, for the invisibility to be effective, Griffin must have not eaten or drunk anything, and must be completely denude. Mentally, he's a Dirty Coward, but don't underestimate his megalomaniac insanity.

  • Final Verdict: After hours and hours trying to evade the mindless creatures, Griffin settled on abandoning his companions to find a refuge of his own. He simply watched in silence from his secret hiding-place while the entire city, and presumably more, turn into those abominations. But after some time, exhausted, thirsty, starved, and narrowly escaping Frankenstein's creatures again and again, he became insane and killed himself out of desperation. His corpse was then devoured by the monsters. As if he weren't insane already, but that's not the point.

  • Body Count: Zero. His sense of self-preservation Read: cowardice simply would not let him risk himself too far.

Nulla è reale, tutto è lecito.

I'm gonna go with a Doctor Who scenario now, because hey, it might be amusing. So: The Tenth Doctor

  • Situation:The Doctor arrives in Cardiff in the near future to refuel, only to find a zombie plague has ravaged the earth. He is cut off from the TARDIS by a pack of marauding corpses, but meets up with his old companions again.

  • Team:I'm gonna say it includes all the companions alive in the same universe by the end of his run: Captain Jack, Martha and Wilf. Gwen from Torchwood also appears, as this is set in Cardiff

  • Weapons:Actually, despite the Doctor's Technical Pacifist stance, quite plentiful. Jack and Gwen have access to the weapons at the Torchwood Hub, Martha is shown handling laser weapons, and Wilf has military training. The Doctor has his sonic screwdriver. He is, of course, cut off from his TARDIS, as that would be absurdly overpowered in this situation.

  • Defensive Situation: The team is in the Hub, however crippling power failures have disable all systems save the Invisible Lift.

  • Physical and Mental Strength: Looks quite good. The team, save Wilf, are in good shape and quite capable of outrunning a bunch of shambling zombies. Mentally, The Doctor has seen off worse threats, although the rest of them may have trouble coping. The Doctor is a Technical Pacifist, so he may not be willing to fight the zombies.

Final Verdict: The team survive in Torchwood for several years, occasionally emerging to massacre zombies, much to the Doctor's disdain. After pin-pointing the time of the creation of the zombie virus, The Doctor attempts to reach the TARDIS. It is, however, surrounded by hundreds of zombies. The rest of the team , knowing the Doctor can set this right if he can get to the TARDIS, choose a Heroic Sacrifice to save the Doctor, and allow him to save the world. However, shortly after opening the door to the TARDIS, the Doctor is bitten. He clambers inside and closes the door, but is briefly zombiefied before regenerating. In his madness, 'he bites the TARDIS', which, being biological, is infected. Yep, we now have a zombie time machine. The universe is screwed.

Total Body Count: 4 Humans zombiefied, roughly 2000 Zombies, 1 Time Lord forced to regenerate, 1 TARDIS zombiefied.

So here we go! Metroid/zombie wars! Main character: Samus.

Situation: Samus is called in by the federation on the G.F.S. Olympus. The zombies have invaded the ship. But luckily, the federation also have the support of the Space Pirates (and ridley) to help.

Allies: Samus, Admiral Dane, Ridley and many space pirate and federation troopers.

Weapons: Samus: Power Beam, Plasma Beam, Ice Beam, Wave Beam, Power Bombs (And all of the other stuff) Ridley: Fireballs, Spinning Tail and annoying screech Admiral Dane: One Hand Blaster Space Pirate Troopers: Galvanic Accelerator Cannons Federation Troopers: Modified Power Beam

Defensive Situation: They are all holding out in the Bridge with barricades and such. All of the doors are locked and the zombies can't get in... Yet.

Mental and Physical State: Of course, Samus is very able. Most of the troopers are quite scared. And Ridley is of course able to beat up puny zombies.

Final Verdict: All of them are fine, the zombies can't get in and everyone's happy. Then Ridley gets bored and pushes Admiral Dane out of the door. Then Samus and Ridley start a big fight while the zombies walk in and overwhelm them both; neither of them do anything while the zombies zombiefie them both. All of the troopers escape in pods.

Body count: Samus: Zombiefied Ridley: Zombiefied Admiral Dane: Zombiefied All Troopers (Pirates + Federation): Alive Zombies: 7 Dead

Ashe? Really? Sad Little Try-hard.

Epic Thread Necromancy!

Dresden Files

  • Situation: Harry Dresden returns from one of his excursions into the Nevernever to discover that a rogue necromancer has raised an army of zombies in Chicago. Unfortunately, due to the necromancer's experiments, the zombies are now sentient and seek out the brains of the living, rather than the necromancer's will, and are making more zombies themselves. Harry has holed himself up in his apartment. This takes place between Proven Guilty and White Night.
  • Defensive Situation: Extremely good. Harry's apartment has a steel security door that has previously repelled a zombie attack and can withstand gunfire. The apartment is heavily warded and any attempt to break in will likely kill the intruder.
  • Allies: Harry's apprentice, Molly Carpenter, his dog Mouse, Bob the Skull, his half-brother and White Court vampire Thomas Raith are all in the apartment. Michael Carpenter, a Knight Of The Cross, has turned out to combat the zombie threat.
  • Weapons: Harry wields powerful destructive and manipulative magic. He constantly wields a staff and a blasting rod, and carries a shield-projecting bracelet and rings which store kinetic energy-blasts. Molly is not a combative wizard, but has skill with veils (invisibility) and wards. Mouse is a fearsome opponent, is intelligent, and can detect zombies. Thomas will probably have several weapons on hand: sawn-off shotgun and machete. He can call upon his White Court powers to give his physical abilities a boost. Michael is protected by divine power and wields a holy sword.
  • Physical and Mental Strength: All members of the group are physically fit. Mentally, Harry has faced zombies before, knows about them and will probably be fine. Thomas likewise has great mental fortitude, although this situation will likely call on his White Court powers and make it hard to resist feeding on others. Molly has only recently become aware of the supernatural and may not be up to the task. Michael has impressive mental fortitude and believes that God will help him overcome the situation, like many before. He is extremely protective of Molly.
  • Final Verdict: Harry and co stay holed up in the apartment for several days until food supplies run out, the door and wards repelling several zombies. Meanwhile Michael slaughters his way through hordes of zombies to reach Dresden, who has helped him in the past. Upon reaching the apartment, he is ambushed by dozens of zombiefied tenants. Knowing that Michael is outside and running out of time, Harry disarms his wards and pulls Michael inside.

With the wards down, Harry is forced to travel through the Nevernever, narrowly avoiding a gruesome fate in the Garden Of The Leanansidhe and stepping back into Chicago. The group roam the streets of Chicago, killing many zombies. In a surprise attack by zombies, Molly is gravely wounded. Michael goes into an Unstoppable Rage and rushes off into the zombies horde, annihilating hundreds of the undead with his heavenly sword before being brought down by sheer weight of numbers.

Harry, desperately searches for a way to turn the situation to his advantage, uses his knowledge of necromancy to turn a sizable portion of the horde into his puppets, using Thomas as his drummer. The Wardens of the White Council (fellow combat wizards) make their belated appearance, and with this new back-up, Harry destroy the rampant zombies.

However, he is shortly afterwards captured by Wardens who try him for Black Magic. As he did actually perform the necromancy himself, Harry is sentenced to execution but narrowly escapes and goes on the run.

Body Count: 2000 zombies killed personally by the main group, 10,000 zombies killed during final battle, 1000 zombies converted to Harry's side.50 Wardens killed during final battle. Michael Carpenter, Molly Carpenter: Dead. Harry Dresden, Mouse: Alive but fugitives. Thomas Raith: Alive.

Here's mine.

Violent J

Weapons: Hatchet, Axe, Meat Cleaver, a .44 magnum, and the arcane powers of the Dark Carnival.

Allies: A whole army of psychotic Juggalos ready to lay down their lives for him. At least ten thousand strong.

Defensive Situation: The Psychopathic Records building in Detroit as the main base and several outposts across the country and the world.

Physical and Mental Toughness: Has faced drive-by shootings, gang violence, child molesters, and even the physical manifestation of a native american warrior. Has likely seen thousands of zombie movies and knows every possible trope(especially if Twiztid were there to help him), and would go apeshit if another Juggalo was threatened.

Final Verdict: After making it out of the zombie-infested old world alive with only a handful of Juggalos and Juggalettes on the yacht he stole, they crash on a tropical island that's uninhabited and bountiful with fruit, wild game, and cannabis plants. Violent J then, in honor of the Juggalos that fell, christens this new land "Juggalo Island" and hosts one final Gathering to remember the lives lost. Roll credits.

Body Count: 17,000 zombies and 5000 Juggalos.

Status of Violent J: Survived.
