Put Folders in (Soft Split?): Good Bad Bugs

Just... Take a look. That is bloody massive. Shouldn't it be split into folders by genre? Or even splits into seperate pages for each genre?

As it is, it lists everything at once

I think the definition is far too broad (and subjective for that matter). There really ought to be more defining criteria than "glitch that people like(d)".

I feel your pain regardly huge impenitrable blocks of examples, but I'm not sure how we'd go about fixing it. Sorting them by glitch type, maybe? (Graphical glitch, physics glitch, etc?)

I'd say split it into a YMMV page, a subtrope of Ascended Meme page, and leave it at that.

We already have Ascended Glitch, so I'm not sure what that would accomplish.

I say split by genre like the other incredibly long pages for video game tropes (That One Boss, etc). Makes it so that incredibly buggy games don't get categorized into four different pages because they have glitches of different types.

Yea, the standard is to sort by genre, allowing entries for specific game series if they have a lot of examples (Final Fantasy tends to be a prime source for this). Why don't we do that and then see how the page looks?

I've just been reading through examples. It looks like it's mostly glitches that are useful, but not quite to Game-Breaking Bug levels with a few Ascended Glitches and funny ones thrown in.

I'll take a shot at this if I get some time; the difficult part looks to be having to research the titles I'm unfamiliar with. There are some duplicates, which is understandable given the length. Some of the examples should be moved to Game-Breaker, as not all of them are necessarily bugs.

Would Useful Bugs work as a redirect?

I don't see why Useful Bugs wouldn't work, but why is a redirect needed?

I've got a folder structure now, and I've got 1/3 of the page moved into folders. I'll move it all online when it's done. Some of the individual folders, especially "RPG", will probably need a page of their own.

"...why is a redirect needed?" That is like asking why sunshine and lollipops are needed! :) Redirects help clarity and searchability, give potholers more options, and are free.

At around 60%. Some of the individual categories would make huge pages by themselves.

BTW, sunshine I get, but why do we need...aaaah, forget it.

OK, much more manageable. RPG still needs broken down, but my daughter needs dinner first, so it will wait. Unless one of you kind people wants to divide it into Console/Roguelike/etc.

In the three months since the last post, the page has been all foldered up. lock plx?
