50 unique bosses, huh? I'm definitely getting that. Looks from the latest trailer like they've tightened the combat system as well, and apparently the open world will be bigger and more full, too. This seems like it's going to be a proper sequel, improving on just about everything from the previous game.

You can hear Henry's voice in the trailer, giving Travis a Hannibal Lecture. But between the theme of the game (revenge) and Travis' survival, it seems like he's a goner.
BTW,I'm calling it now, someone is going to kill at least 30 bosses in one fell swoop and the player won't have any say in this. That's the Suda thing to do.

Yeah- I'd be more excited if only it wasn't for that suspicion.
20 bosses isn't bad, did you see the trailer?
One of the bosses threw "hoes" at Travis during the pre-boss fight scene.
Umbran Climax◊They might adopt a system similar to the one used in Mad World, where you automatically gain the rank of the person you kill, regardless of yours. But if that was the case, why not start Travis at 600th instead of 51st? (well, apart from the obvious reason.) Alternatively, some boss fights could be two-at-a-time, or there are heaps of Anticlimax Bosses, or maybe there actually are 50 bosses. by the way, did anyone see that dual-bladed beam flute?
...From the looks of it, Travis Touchdown is going on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge.
We all know how crazy Travis is...so it's probably going to be the most awesome rampage ever.
And we get to play as Shinobu. Awesome. I wonder why she's so beloved, though...
Where the crap did you get that wonderful news of playable Shinobu? If anything, I think it's going to be something temporal (like Dante in Deil May Cry 4, see And Now for Someone Completely Different) or in a new playthorugh (like Vergil in Devil May Cry 3, see Another Side, Another Story).
Edit: I guess people like her because she was a good boss, has an interesting character design and is the best developed Ranked fight. I consider Bad Girl to be the last "real" ranked fight.

The main issue I had with the original is that yes, the concept was incredibly crazy and revelling in What Do You Mean, It's Not Awesome?, but the gameplay turned out quite repetitive and shallow. From hearsay, it looks like Suda 51 is intent on adding more meat to the game along with the offbeat narrative, and that would be really satisfying.
To be honest, I just stuck around with the first game to see what new batshit insane idea was creeping around the corner. It delivered. Now I can get that and and an actually good game attached to it.
I agree, the orignal had a *^4ing halarious story and concept, but lacked in gameplay.
Trying to post a link to proof that Shinobu's playable, but it's an image, and the forums don't allow me to post the link...

New trailer, looks badass. The job missions look better than ever.
Also, Edge Magazine supposedly leaked an interview where Suda confirms a playable MISTER SIR HENRY MOTHER FUCKER.
*blinks*
Well, good to know it's still got that Suda touch.
What's the frequency Kenneth?|In case of war.Oh God, if you get to play as Henry then my dreams have come true! [Insert obnoxious fangirling here]

I love how even if he's using what looks like the crappy default sword, he still swings it like he swung the previous game's utimate weapon.
OH MY GOD. PLAY AS HENRY. YES.
He may be a total Jerkass, but good lo', that accent... *fans self* Also, I always did love his coat.

New footage of Shinobu in action. Doesn't quite look as slick as Travis, but I thought I saw her pull some Prince of Persia stuff in the gameplay there (and it is known that she will be able to jump). Looks like it could be a fun change of pace.
I maintain that Sir Henry Mother Fucker is the most epic name ever.
I'm so happy he's playable. <3
be warned, user is known affectionately as The Sneakiest BastardSpeaking of Mister Sir Henry Motherfucker, new trailer:

He seems to have some of his Boss moves. I hope you get to use his insta-kill as a Finisher.

No More Heroes was probably Goichi Suda's most commercially successful game, and one of the few games he has ever produced that has spawned a sequel. The latest trailer and recent press releases for the game have confirmed 50 bosses, dual beam katanas, transforming boomboxes and Bishop Shidux's head splattered over a DVD rack. I'm rather excited. One thing I'm hoping will return in the sequel is Henry, Travis' genre savvy twin brother, voiced by Raiden no less, who made quite an impression during the brutal destruction of the fourth wall that was the game's ending.
