This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

~P Strider Fan: Just to be clear, you were suspended not just for making those subpages, but because you kept making them after they were correctly cut. You must have noticed. What went through your head? Trope-specific subpages are a last resort when there's too much content for the primary article, not something to launch as soon as there's more than one example.
~Tropers/{{123redone}}: Sorry for the delay in replying. As Septimus said, the issue is your behavior on the Skyrim article and related pages. There seems to be some kind of fan conflict wherein certain groups of players troll others by claiming that the Thalmor are justified in their actions. This is sort of the Tamriel equivalent of whitewashing Nazis. We want no part of this stupid little game and we won't tolerate it on our wiki.
Further, you aren't the first troper to try this, meaning you're either a sockpuppet or the cancer has spread. We have only one effective way to kill it, and that's banning people.
~Tropers/{{4444jdm}}: You are wrong about the meanings of those tropes. Unless you agree to stop, we cannot release your suspension.

My apologies if went a bit defensive in telling the thread something who didn't have any sort of evidence to back it up.

I can understand where you are coming from and see what you mean. To explain myself, I am not interested in battles or disputing the views of others. I simply wished to clarify on things without taking a side either way and that was my intention when I made my edits.
I am passionate about Skyrim lore, amongst other things, which has always been ambiguous and on the page a lot of assumptions were made that overgeneralise and are not entirely verifiable. I am also passionate about giving others the truth. Not MY truth, but an objective truth.
My edits were simply made in an attempt to correct that and allow the reader to choose what to believe whilst still maintaining that the Thalmor are intended to be seen as the bad guys.
I stand in the belief that I did nothing wrong in my edits, at least in intention if not content. However, if I did I sincerely apologise. If you are able to see the exact changes I had made then wonderful! You can see the wording I had used was intended for neutrality, not to defend. If you would be willing to restore my privileges all well and good. If not, all well and good. Regardless, thank you for responding!

No no...I never wanted trouble in the first place, and I really want to learn from this...I've already endured enough crap in my life for many reasons. Yes, I may have been too eager and defensive over it. Yes, I've been too gullible to understand the rumor...but I need these experiences to let me become better in other sites as well and I really want to prove it, but this cannot happen while permanently banned.
Please, the least I want for many circles on the Internet to know is that I'm nothing more but self-absorbed sociopath who would stop at nothing to make things as sensational like they want to. I'm not one of these things and the least I want is that people here judge from these past moments instead of looking at the present me. Things like this sadden crushes most of my self-esteem because it all makes me feel that I'm nothing more but a worthless piece of the world who always gets in trouble and thinks his critics are right. I really want to prove that I am more than you see and getting me permanently banned won't help me on a personal level at all.
I genuinely beg you, I will truly be civil and organized in what I hear and see for now on because I really don't want to lose any other groups in the for doing things that I overlooked too much yet still wants to try better.

~Tropers/123redone: Whatever you think you're doing, it's still a fan argument being carried out on the wiki. We call this sort of thing Righting Great Wrongs and it's how articles turn into bloated masses of natter. Discuss any changes you want to make before carrying them out.
Luigisan: Your pleading might persuade me if it were your first or second offense, but not your third. Practically every time you post you're pissing someone off. Your clearly are not going to get it. You may continue to edit the wiki if you accept this. If not, you'll be banned completely.

I know what I did wrong. I sent out unnecessary subpages and I didnt realize that wasn’t necessary. I was thinking that because of the various details said in the trope, it would deserve to have a page on its own. I will go to the rules so I can understand. I did see that it was edited out, but I have autism, so it was hard for me to understand at the moment that I should not add unwanted information. I’ll go to the rules in order to sort this out and understand what not to do anymore. I am learning about how shows and stuff have their own meanings and it details how people think of it. As an autistic person, this is something I need to learn. I’m sorry for causing you trouble and I hope to get my problem resolved soon. Do you have any questions for me?

Hey, it looks like I've been suspended from editing, probably from friction with the troper MagBas over this page.
This isn't the first time I've had edit-warring conflicts with them and it probably won't be the last, but this is the first time I've gotten a suspension over it. Can we talk about this?

You were warring in a Pokémon character sheet. Mostly, it involves attributing moves like Bounce as Blow You Away. Being familiar with the subject matter myself, I can tell that just because something's attributed to the Flying type doesn't always mean it qualifies as that trope, especially when the mon themselves aren't of the type. Also, you readded The Artifact without discussion.
While tropes are flexible, they're not that flexible.
What should you be doing instead if someone contests your edit?

I re-added the Bounce example because the rest of the page used examples the same way; that was the only example that MagBas removed, so it seemed inconsistent to me that it was the only example to go. I'm fine with the page as it is now that the ATT thread cleared everything up, so I apologize for edit warring.
As for the example under The Artifact, it's been more than a year since the discussion thread about it was touched — not that it was going anywhere in the first place. The same user kept contesting the example in both the discussion thread and an Ask The Tropers thread no matter what was said, although I can't tell whether they just disagree or if there's a language barrier. I reread both the discussion thread and the ATT thread and saw that the consensus in both was that yes, it is an example, so I added it again.
To answer your question, the normal solution is to holler for a mod, right? SeptimusHeap was the only mod who weighed in on this, and the most we got from them was a recommendation on where else to discuss it.
I know this wasn't the right way to do it, but my experience with this user gave me the impression that bringing it up in discussion would just let them wear me down again. I'm sorry.

That...wasn't the main problem. You are brought here because your grammar is subpar. Left unchecked, grammar issues leave more work for other users. There were also some wiki markup issues and Zero Context Examples.
For the grammar, I recommend using the Get Help with English thread. There, you can run examples you'd like to add and other tropers can give you tips on how to improve.
~P Strider Fan: Your suspension was for the glut of subpages you created for Avengers: Infinity War, as many of the entries you created were already on subpages for the MCU as a whole or had otherwise gone through prior cleanups.
